Vector Chest Rig from Raine Inc
Saturday, June 22nd, 2013The Vector Chest Rig is part of Raine’s Black Line. They’ve put together a release to tell you a little more about it. I checked the large version out at SOFIC and came away impressed.
“Lighter .. Faster .. Stronger” could not be more appropriate for the new Raine Black Vector LCP. Vector LCP (Load Carry Platform) is our new “no webbing MOLLE solution”. The platforms are made using a nylon coated material and is made here in the USA. They are laser but and not laminated with Cordura nylon fabric. The biggest advancement in this material, unlike other fabrics in its category, is the pull strength we were able to achieve on a single MOLLE channel. We originally unveiled this at SHOT Show post pull testing and spent some time with some large human beings trying to rip it apart (standing on it and pulling, two arm pull, then tug of war), which they failed to do.
In the current configuration, we are running these in a large and a mini, which is what’s currently in our warehouse. They are fitted with a standard cut and sew harness with laser cut harnesses in the works. They are in the process of getting harnesses assembled and attached as we speak. That said, split front systems have been prototyped and are ready to go to the laser cutter now. Quickly following will be our armor carrying systems. We have some really great things in the works on that front and will be ready to show them very soon.
There are currently 800 being put together, 400 of each the small and large. Both the Small and Large Rigs are offered in Coyote, MultiCam, and Foliage Green.
Available July 21, 2013. To pre-order, call Regena at 1-800-826-5354 or email her at rainemail@raineinc.com.

Ares Micro Keeper Belt
Friday, June 21st, 2013The guys from Ares Armor showed me this cool belt at “The Shot Heard ‘Round The World” in New Hampshire this past April. Now, it’s finally available.
It’s a two-piece design that incorporates a lot of thought. Consisting of a Micro Belt and Keeper Belt, they work together as a System. Ares Armor released some info on it which I have offered here along with the photos I took in New Hampshire.
Ares Armor Micro Belt
The Ares Armor Micro Belt has a tubular nylon core with a tensile strength of 6,000 lbs., an Austrialpin 1” Cobra Buckle of 18kn or approximately 4,500 tensile strength and an Austrialpin D Ring with a tensile strength of 5,000 lbs. making a rugged belt that would rip the end user in half before failing; but not to worry it has .25” closed cell foam for the end users comfort. It also has a .030” strip of plastic to aid in rigidity and securing your holster. On the outside are three stripes of .75” webbing. YKK loop lines the inside of the Micro Belt.
Although we do not intend for you to use the Micro Belt in a load bearing manner, and we assume not responsibility if you do; here is a picture of our heavily sleep deprived Product Engineer after a 90 hour work week prior to SHOT 2013 repelling off the pellet racks in the sew shop.
Ares Armor Keeper Belt (Hook Belt Liner)
Proprietary hook buckle, tailless design and hook covers provide a Keeper Belt unlike any other on the market. The Ares Armor Keeper Belt is made of YKK hook and loop, 6061 Aluminum buckle and Type 13 (1.75”) rigger belt webbing.
Micro Belt and Keeper Belt as a System
The Ares Armor Micro and Keeper Belts are built to work together as a system. Unlike the conventional bulky MOLLE War Belts that slide around, the Micro Belt has a slimmer profile. This reduces unnecessary bulk and weight around the end users waist, increasing agility and stamina while locking into the keeper belt installed on the pants. The profile of this belt is so slim in fact it fits in the belt loops of most pants to include the 1” cobra buckle and D ring while maintaining the ability to attach most standard Molle accessories and Kydex belt loops. Unlike standard Keeper Belts that have a hook exposed all the time, the Ares Armor Keeper Belts have flaps to cover the hooks while not in use; so whether you are a civilian headed to the range or Military personnel on the FOB on standby for mission, the Micro Keeper Belt System is good for running slick or securing your sub-load.
Micro Belt Tactical System Availability
Ares Armor Micro Belt Tactical System is driven by customer feedback and built quality integrity. The New Micro Belt is available for immediate purchase at:

Claymore Bag Now Available From Combat Flip Flops
Wednesday, June 19th, 2013The CFF Claymore Bag is now available in a limited run of 100 99 in Ranger Green (I just bought one).
When I was in the Army, if you were anybody, you had a Claymore Bag. It might be used for a shaving kit or for use as a range bag but it was a highly prized item. The one that comes with the actual mine is made from cotton duck and while it’s durable, it was designed to be disposable, so it is far from indestructible.
Enter Combat Flip Flops. They’ve sourced a USA Made version of the iconic Claymore Bag that incorporates multiple new features. First and foremost is construction. They’ve switched to modern, durable materials. Second, and the gussetted exterior pockets that are large enough to accept an iPad Mini. Additionally, the bag’s two exterior pockets each accept Velcro inserts and the main pocket’s interior is daisy chained with 1″ nylon webbing to accept shock cord. CFF has also introduced redundant closures including button, hook and loop, and Figher Design covert magnetic closures. Finally, a 5.56 mag/cell phone holder and sunglass case come standard with each Claymore Bag.
There are several additional accessories planned that aren’t available yet and include:
-IPad mini holder (optional)
-iPad holder (optional)
-Surface holder (optional)
-Kindle Holder (optional)
The current limited run is made from Ranger Green LiteLok with Black, Dark Earth, Ranger Green, and You Can’t Miss Me Silver in Cordura coming in July.

Darley Defense Days – Tactical Tailor
Tuesday, June 11th, 2013This is Tactical Tailor’s Improved 152 Pouch which was designed at the request of a SOF customer.
It features elastic long the sides so that you can run the radio with side plates attached.
Additionally, as you can see, nothing covers or goes over the knobs. There is also an elastic cinch with SR buckle that helps eliminate the “152 wiggle”.
It also incorporates the new backer.
