(McLean, VA – April 16, 2026) FN America, LLC has announced the launch of the FN PUREVIEW™, a new pistol-mounted red dot sight that uses advanced holographic technology powered by ImageGuide® to improve aiming performance. This system projects the dot in a way that keeps it aligned with the user’s line of sight, resulting in a clearer image with less distortion and more accurate shooting.

“FN is known for delivering innovation and professional-grade products, and the FN PUREVIEW now brings the performance FN is known for to the optics market,” said John Ryan, Director of Product Management for FN America, LLC. “Born from FN’s expertise designing optics-ready pistols and advanced aiming systems under our FN E-NOVATION product line, this new optic allows us to deliver a lighter, clearer, and more rugged solution.”
Unlike traditional optics, the FN PUREVIEW uses this holographic approach instead of standard curved lenses, helping users see a sharper image and aim more confidently, even under pressure or in fast-moving situations.
The optic is also designed to be lightweight and compact, weighing about 25% less than similar enclosed sights. This helps maintain the natural handling of the pistol while still offering strong protection against dirt, debris, and impact.
Built with durable materials such as aluminum and titanium, the FN PUREVIEW is made to withstand tough conditions. It is waterproof, fog-resistant, and able to operate at extreme temperatures ranging from -40°F to 126°F. Even if the lens becomes damaged, the dot remains visible and usable.
The FN PUREVIEW includes several user-friendly features:
“Holographic projection is highly complex to develop, but we’ve successfully adapted it for use on a pistol,” said Chris Johnson, Senior Product Manager for Pistols at FN America, LLC. “The result is a clearer sight picture and improved accuracy, especially at longer distances, giving users real-world performance benefits.”

The sight is compatible with FN pistol models designed for optics, including the FN 509®, FN 510®, FN 545®, and FN Five-seveN®.
The FN PUREVIEW will be showcased at the 2026 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston and is expected to be available for purchase later this year.

Dillon Rifle Company gave us a sneak peek at their upcoming Precision Rifle in .308.

I can share this, it’s chambered in .308, it has a slick folding stock, and it will be available this fall.
Of the many new products announced by Magpul during this year’s NRA Annual Meeting, the new Universal Carbine Stock caught my eye, which is intended to be used with a vertical M-1913 stock mounting rail.

To accommodate the wide variety of charging handles styles and configuration, ejection port location, and control placement, the UCS features a reversible hinge for left and right folding configurations, and five degrees of drop for clearance (most stocks feature less of a drop, which doesn’t work for all firearms). The UCS stock also ships with two reversible cheek risers (0.50”, and 0.75”), and when combined with the reversible M1913 clamp (allowing for a 1/2-slot height adjustment along the rear rail for increased comb height flexibility), the shooter can dial in head placement for an optimal sight picture using iron sights or optics. The stock also gives shooters thee (3) inches of length of pull (LOP) adjustment across six (6) positions – which can be adjusted via the LOP buttons – the stock fits any shooter, with and without armor or other bulky equipment, and only adds about 18 ounces to a firearm without a stock. Just like the stock itself, the UCS’s sling attachment point is an anti-rotational QD socket that’s reversible. Last but not least, the stock is compatible with MOE SL and DT Butt-Pads, so you have options, there, too.

UCS Features:
-Six position, push-button adjustable LOP (3” total adjustment)
-Reversible folding mechanism
-Toolless removable and reversible cheek risers included (0.5” and 0.75”)
-5° drop angle for charging handle and ejection port clearance
-Reversible M1913 clamp for ½-slot height adjustment
-Reversible anti-rotation QD Socket
-Weighs just over 18 ounces

Waffen Tactical offers Vektor, a bespoke Anti-Mirage / Thermal Reduction Modular Handguard Technology.

They build each Vektor system individually, based upon your rifle and suppressor and have closed and open systems.

The system is capable of moving 50 cubic feet of air per minute. Although not intended for full-auto fire, the result is that you won’t need to use a glove while firing with a suppressor and more importantly, Vektor removes the mirage above the barrel.

The system uses a rechargeable 16850 battery with three hours of operation on high and six hours on the low setting.

They’ve just set the website up and are populating products. You can also check out facebook.com/61574852052835
