Specter DR Tilo 1

Doing something deliberately can make sense. And so you decide to shoot something at night, and then you need this solution: The world’s smallest thermal glasses are used in front of one of the usual military optics, the Elcan Specter DR. The TILO-3 we have introduced to you HERE, the Specter DR HERE. The new mounting adapter, which brings the two worlds together, comes from Oberland Arms and enables the TILO thermal imaging device, which is also new, to be attached to the Elcan Specter 1/4x, turning the Tilo observation device into a thermal imaging attachment.

Specter DR Tilo 2

Andres Industries is pleased that OA offers accessories for the TILO-3Z+ they’ll present in Nuremberg. Although the TILO-3Z+ was developed as a thermal imaging spectacle and is also sold by Andres, it is very robust and has no problems with strong accelerations and vibrations. Even a fall on concrete is guaranteed to cope with it and has a few more scratches on the outside.

The new TILO-3Z+, which corresponds to the military version in its performance, will be available to civilians after the IWA, i. e. from 12 March 2017. It has an on-screen menu. About the can’t be to deactivate the required palettes or activate video output.

Coppell, Texas – Peak Nano Optics closed a significant minority investment on February 6, with the signing of an equity and development package with L3 Technologies (NYSE:LLL) as part of a broader expansion plan and program. Details and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The L3 Technologies investment will accelerate breakthroughs for military and commercial optics applications, with the potential for new product launches as early as 2019. Overall, this latest round of investments will enable Peak Nano Optics to significantly expand its manufacturing efforts.

“We’re thrilled to have L3 as both an equity and development partner,” said Jim Welsh, Chief Executive Officer for Peak Nano. “L3 operates as an industry leader in many of the markets where our lens technology makes a tremendous impact on system-level performance, which creates new opportunities for our technology. This transaction allows us to dramatically accelerate our efforts in much larger adjacent markets, such as virtual reality, where we expect to shape the next generation of optical platform solutions.”

“L3’s business culture is to target, acquire, and partner with discriminating technologies and capabilities that revolutionize our customers’ products and solutions while making our world a safer place,” said Jeff Miller, L3’s Senior Vice President and President of its Sensor Systems business segment. “In Peak Nano Optics, we quickly saw the potential for GRIN lens technology, not only in our current markets, but also in its ability to be transformative in a broad range of emerging systems, such as virtual and augmented realities, and the commercial space.”

For Peak Nano, the Series B funding is a validation of the company’s process.

“This is the first step in the Peak Nano process, which begins with the identification of commercial opportunities for emerging nanotechnologies and culminates in a real-world consumer product,” said Chad Lewis, President and Chief Operating Officer for Peak Nano. “Taking innovation from the point of discovery and scaling it up to meet the demands of the consuming public is at our core.”

The company has spent the last year designing an advanced automated line with integrated robotics that will come on line this summer, greatly expanding production scalability. This round of funding will also enable Peak Nano to advance its offerings in virtual and augmented realities as well as make new advancements in biomedical technology.

Based in Coppell, Texas, Peak Nano Optics has developed commercial scale nanolayered gradient index (GRIN) lens technology that is poised to change the optics world.

TRACT Optics Announces New TORIC 30mm Long Range Riflescopes

Thursday, February 22nd, 2018

HUMMELSTOWN, Penn. – February 21, 2018 – TRACT Optics has released two new 30mm First Focal Plane (FFP) long range riflescopes in its flagship TORIC line. These offerings feature precision components and give consumers a world-class 30mm scope suitable for competitive or hunting-specific extreme long range shooting. The TORIC 30mm scopes are initially available in 4-20×50 with a Minute of Angle (MOA) or a Milliradian (MRAD) reticle at unbeatable no retail mark-up prices of $1,154.00.

TRACT’s TORIC line quickly established itself as an industry-leader with its Ultra High Definition optical system, SCHOTT HT (high transmission) glass, ED (Extra Low Dispersion) lens and a Fully Multi-Coated lens system. These combined features and technologies deliver incredibly sharp and bright images and offer superior light transmission values. The new 30mm also include a 5x zoom, one-piece 30mm main body tube, high-precision turrets, four inches of constant eye relief and a Glass Etched Reticle designed for superior performance with even the heaviest magnum calibers.

“We’re very excited for our new FFP 30mm long range scopes to hit the market,” said TRACT Co-Founder Jon LaCorte. “The emergence of extreme long-range shooting and hunting make this a natural expansion to our line. We combined over 40 years of optics industry experience to load these scopes up on features not available at these price points. Our 30mm TORIC options give shooters and hunters premium glass with the best features and high-end capabilities. Whether they’re competing in the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) or practicing for long-range big game hunting, our scopes are the perfect option.”

TRACT TORIC 30mm riflescopes stand out with superior light transmission values, especially in the blue and violet spectrum. The ED lens minimizes color fringing and provides ultra-sharp images in low light at higher magnifications. A locking turret with Multi Rotation Zero Stop features 20 MOA/10 MRAD per rotation. TNVC Releases Thermal Remote Battery and Cradle

Tuesday, February 20th, 2018

The TNVC Thermal Remote Battery (TRB) is an external rechargeable battery for thermal imagers and weapon sights.  Utilizing a 6700mAh battery, the TRB can provide over 13 hours of power to your thermal device.  This allows you to hunt all night without needing to replace expensive batteries.  At the end of the hunt, simply plug the battery into a USB power source to recharge and prep for night two!
