For Rapid Fire Weapons, G96 Delivers New Grease that Won’t Leave You in a Jam

PATERSON, N.J., Oct. 24, 2016 — G96 Products Inc., a leading supplier of gun lubricants and cleaning products, has introduced a new grease for rapid-fire weapons where smooth, glitch free operation can mean the difference between life and death. The new RFG (Rapid Fire Gun) Grease uses nano-synthetics to increase lubricity, even in extreme temperatures.

RFG Grease, available in .42 fluid ounce (13cc) syringes, will maintain its integrity from –80 up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike some brands’ gun grease, RFG Grease won’t “bleed out” oil during long-term storage.

While RFG Grease delivers superior performance for all types of firearms, it earns its stripes in rapid-firing weapons. Reduced friction is essential for efficient, reliable operation. Along with its ability to protect against corrosion, RFG Grease will extend the life of any firearm. It is also safe for use on polymer weapons.

“We’re confident that this is the best grease for automatic and semi-automatic weapons on the market,” says Alan Goldman, president and CEO of G96 Products.

RFG Grease is 85 percent biodegradable.

G96 Products Inc. is one of the most trusted names in gun lubricants and cleaning products. Used by shooters around the world, including many law enforcement agencies, G96 continually strives to live up to its reputation for providing world-class products for firearms. ‘Capture the Night’ with ASU’s Newly Patented Compact Night-Vision Video Camera

(BOISE, IDAHO– October 24th, 2016) Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) was awarded their first patent on the EcliptusTM night vision camera system that allows users to finally capture the night in full HD video.

The newly patented Ecliptus™ offers the functionality of the GoPro® HERO4 camera with the benefit of military-tested night vision light intensification. This new technology is a portable and user-friendly way to capture and stream video in extremely low-light scenarios.

“The Ecliptus™ is already being used by the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force for documentation, after-action reports, and even professional-quality video production,” said ASU CEO Mike Atwood. The portable size and convenience lends itself to applications in law enforcement, security, and defense as well research, recreation, and media production.”

The Ecliptus offers a 40-degree field of view, weighs less than one pound, is integrated with the GoPro® Hero 4 and captures images at 12 megapixels with a burst mode at 30 frames per second. It captures night vision images utilizing a military grade AN/PVS-14 objective lens, records in ultra-high definition (4X HD), and stores these images using a 16 GB SD card. Images and video can also be viewed in real time using WiFi enabled smart devices. The camera modes can be controlled using the GoPro® button controls and from mobile devices with the GoPro app.

“This patent is a major accomplishment for ASU,” said ASU President Jim Winkel. “ASU has been known for years as a night vision global leader providing equipment for aviation and ground-based operators. This patent heralds ASU’s emergence as a night vision manufacturer. Our growing capabilities enable us to listen to our customers need and design customized products that satisfy their mission-critical requirements. Each night men and women around the world conduct demanding, lifesaving missions. Through continued investment in new product, we will continue to enable those who serve and protect to complete their mission and return home safely. That is why we do what we do at ASU.”

Earlier this year, GoPro® invited ASU to be one of only a handful of companies to participate in their developers program; a program spear-headed by GoPro to support companies developing products that integrate with GoPro® technologies. ASU was selected to participate in the program because of the night vision capabilities that the Ecliptus brings to existing GoPro technology and its utilization to aid others in their mission to serve and protect.

“Obtaining the patent for the Ecliptus is something that inspires our entire company,” said ASU Chief Technology Officer Dr. Joseph Estrera. “The Ecliptus is a great product, but it is just the beginning of our new product development activities. We will continue our research and development efforts to invent and innovate products that enable others to serve and protect their communities.”

Lenseigne impresses the crowd once again with a new world record

ONTARIO, Calif. – After setting not one, but two, world records at the 2016 Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) National Championship in May, Team Bianchi’s Kenda Lenseigne added another record to her impressive repertoire at the CMSA World Championship in Amarillo, Texas last weekend. In a world record run, Lenseigne won the Cimarron Eliminator CMSA World Champion Cowgirl title.

As one of Cowboy Mounted Shooting’s most renowned competitors, Lenseigne holds numerous titles and records prior to this victory. She has won this event four times before on her champion horse, Justin, between the years of 2005 and 2014. However, this is Lenseigne’s first World Championship win on her mare, Sparky, since retiring Justin last year.

“This win is incredibly special to me,” said Lenseigne. “I knew I could trust in my equipment to perform perfectly, but it is a big feat to be the World Champion in a first year partnership between rider and horse.”

Lenseigne finished the competition in 10.764 seconds, which was 0.12 seconds faster than the previous world record. Beating out the other 163 competitors entered in this category, Lenseigne ended with the overall fastest time for women.

“We are thrilled to congratulate Kenda and Sparky,” said Scott Carnahan, vice president, Safariland and Bianchi. “We are so proud of their accomplishments together and we thank Kenda for continuing to be an incredible ambassador for our brand and the sport.”

Team Safariland members are an integral part of the company’s product development process by regularly testing Safariland materials and products to ensure design and development. Popular Shift 360 Plate Rack System now available with expanded options

Jacksonville, Fla. – Safariland, a recognized leader in the tactical armor market, today announced the release of the PROTECH® Tactical Shift 360™ Scalable Plate Rack System as its first platform to encompass the FirstSpear® Tubes™ closure system.

Utilizing advanced technologies from industry-leading armor brands, PROTECH Tactical and FirstSpear, the Shift 360 plate rack is a high-speed carrier system representing PROTECH Tactical’s fastest and most dynamic scalable plate rack offering. The system starts as a basic plate rack carrier with the ability to transition into a fully loaded tactical system for a multitude of mission specifications.

FirstSpear Tubes modernize the armor carrier closure system, enhancing the ease of donning and doffing the Shift 360 carrier with a quick up or down single hand function. The simple motion for attaching or detaching the system capitalizes on the user’s muscle memory, ideal for stressful or high-speed scenarios. This lightweight closure system ensures the cummerbund is always positioned in the same location, which is vital for proper ballistic coverage, and mitigates the risk of misalignment and incorrect attachment.

“The Shift 360 meets the requirements of patrol and tactical law enforcement officers who need to transition from routine activities to high-threat situations in a matter of seconds,” said Director of Tactical Armor Brian Santimauro. “Facing increased occurrences of scenarios evolving into active shooter, hostage or terrorist situations, law enforcement officers can have confidence that the Shift 360 will outfit them for any situation.”

“The Shift 360 system was put to the test with a variety of law enforcement teams, providing PROTECH Tactical with vital feedback to make it one of the most sought after scalable plate racks on the market,” added Santimauro. Beyond the FirstSpear technology, the Shift 360 plate rack incorporates other recently updated design elements, which elevate the functionality of the system, such as a cummerbund attachment, ballistics insertions and reinforced support. The Shift 360 AWS is available with all three closure system options – FirstSpear Tubes, single-point Quick-Release, and Velcro® closure.

“Protective technology is in our name,” said Todd Mackler, vice president of Armor. “This isn’t restricted to the ballistics and hard armor components that are inserted into our carriers. It also pertains to the carriers themselves with efficient designs and detailed components that we test, evaluate and integrate into our systems.”

Safariland introduced a new a-la-carte ordering system for 2016, which allows teams and individual users to configure the Shift 360 plate rack to meet their specific needs, including a full array of ballistic and non-ballistic accessory garments. The PROTECH Tactical Shift 360 is available for ordering with Type II and IIIA ballistic packages, as well as color options based on the load-bearing configuration. Integrated FirstSpear 6/12™ Platform & Pocket Technologies and Traditional Modular Webbing are due out at the end of 2016.
