Not only will TNVC be a stocking distributor for Envision’sexisting MARS and MARS-L (as well as their corresponding, unrestricted* commercial variants, designated by the lower-case “c” suffix), but for several exciting new products currently under development expected to be released throughout the year and into 2025.

The Envision MARS-L is a miniature, weapon-mounted, laser rangefinder, based on the architecture of the MARS Miniature Advanced Rangefinder System currently in use by US Special Operations Forces, and can deliver precision range finding capabilities with a >2,000m range using a 1,550nm Class I laser, as well as >3,000 on 30% NATO targets as well as an integrated Applied Ballistics solver as well as Bluetooth capability to interface with external devices.

With a similar form-factor and footprint to the USSOCOM LA-23/PEQ MAL/SAL carbine aiming laser and weighing under 8 ounces, the MARS-L’s extremely compact size makes it extremely versatile, allowing the end-user to mount the device in their desired location with minimal impact to the host weapon system or user interface, and the rear-mounted LED display screen can not only be adjusted for brightness, but the displayed text can be rotated to allow easy reading in top or side-mounted applications, and can be set for Imperial, Metric, or mixed units.

The MARS-L’s control interfaces and ergonomics integrate and combine some of the most popular design interfaces from different devices, and is almost shockingly intuitive to use, with an easy-to-locate and easy-to-manipulate mode selector dial, as well as three deceptively large and distinct feeling rubberized “FIRE” and adjustment / selection buttons that effectively allow the end-user to control any of the MARS family’s many functions and capabilities without requiring a sharp learning curve to get used to complex switchology and button press sequences.

The MARS-L also comes with a three-button remote that connects with an AN/PAS-29B ECOTI-style 7-Pin locking connector interface that replicates the onboard functionality without forcing the user to reach up to the device, allowing them to maintain both optimal device and hand positioning without compromising functionality.

Even the polymer emitter port-cover is an exercise in simplicity, ingenuity, and end-user focused design and flips to the side of the device, and capable of mechanically latching in both the open and shut position without putting excessive or unnecessary tension on a delicate rubber retaining strap, reducing both the chances of breakage, or unwanted movement / obstruction of the laser emitters due to shifting or movement of the emitter cover.

The single, laterally mounted CR123 battery compartment sits immediately behind the emitter port-cover [when in the open position], and again, is a triumph of human-factors and integrated systems design, being cleanly recessed into the overall device footprint without the need for extra snag-points and protuberances that cause the device to have a larger footprint than it may initially appear to have, yet it is easy to use and easily accessible, and positioned in such a way where it is unlikely to interfere with other weapon or device controls and/or require unnatural contortions (or foul language) to remove or replace the battery.

In use, the MARS-L also features Speed, Precision, and Rapid Scan rangefinder modes, allowing the end-user to adjust the way the MARS-L interprets returns to maximize effectiveness in multiple different environments and conditions, as well as haptic feedback during rangefinding, silently alerting the user of a successful return, and an output adjustable visible laser for boresighting–the onlydifference between the MARS-L and the MARS-L, Commercial (MARS-Lc) is that the MARS-L uses a 38 mWClass 3B “Restricted Power” red visible aiming / boresighting laser, while the MARS-Lc utilizes an unrestricted 3.5mW Class 3R visible laser–BOTH devices use the same Class I 1550nm range-finding laser, which cannot be seen by most commonly available night vision imaging systems.

Blackhawk Manufacturing Group, Inc. (dba 80 Percent Arms) Settles Legal Dispute With California, Upholding Customer Privacy and Second Amendment Rights

Customer Privacy Upheld
Fort Worth, Texas — Blackhawk Manufacturing Group, Inc. (BMG) has successfully resolved our prolonged legal dispute with the State of California, initiated in August 2021 in San Francisco by Chesa Boudin, the former SF District Attorney who was later ousted by San Francisco voters in a 2022 recall election. The state wrongfully alleged that 80% frames and receivers sold by our company were firearms. This case has now come to a close after intense litigation. Our refusal to disclose customer data, even in the face of substantial legal costs to keep customer data private, underscores our dedication to privacy.

Throughout this challenging period, BMG has consistently upheld its principles, dedicating over 2.5 million dollars toward legal expenses aimed at safeguarding customer information from the State of California. To further ensure our customers’ confidentiality and to end ever-climbing litigation expenses, a settlement of $500,000 was reached to end this abusive litigation.

Resuming California Sales and Advocacy
We are pleased to announce that, following this settlement, we will resume offering products to our customers in California that comply with current state and federal laws. We continue to vigorously defend Second Amendment rights, with our case, VanDerStok et. al. v. Garland, set to be heard by the Supreme Court of the United States this October.

The Raptor Holster Returns to T.REX ARMS

The Raptor Holster was a T.REX ARMS mainstay from 2015 until its supposed extinction in 2021. Now it’s back, and it has been completely redesigned; upgraded with better clip support, better adjustability, and better ergonomics.

We retired the Raptor holster when we introduced the Raptor Wing for our updated Sidecar: an attachment that allows the Sidecar to function similarly to the old Raptor at 4’oclock or AIWB positions… But it was not exactly the same.

The newly-updated Raptor’s footprint is smaller than the Sidecar, which can make a big difference depending on your priorities and needs. It features built-in grip tuck and weapon tilt for increased concealability, a stable two-clip design with optional DCC Monoblock compatibility, and a lower base price than the more modular Sidecar.

Built on better engineering and manufacturing processes, this is a tremendous entry-level holster for new AIWB carriers, but with enough performance, adjustability, and features for the most professional users.

Team Savage’s Matt Alwine Secures Victory at 2024 NRL Manners Elite Hunter

GA-ASI Selected to Build Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) for the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Advanced Aircraft Division

SAN DIEGO – 24 April 2024 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has been selected to build production representative flight test articles of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) for the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Advanced Aircraft Division. This option contract award by the Advanced Aircraft Division exercises the critical design, build, and flight test on the existing CCA contract with GA-ASI following an initial 6-month phase that culminated in a successful CCA preliminary design review (PDR) earlier this year.

The CCA program aims to be a force multiplier, developing a low-cost, modular, unmanned aircraft equipped with advanced sensors or weapons and operating in collaborative teams with the next generation of manned combat aircraft.

In February 2024, GA-ASI successfully conducted the maiden flight of the XQ-67A CCA protype aircraft validating the “genus/species” concept pioneered by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) as part of the Low-Cost Attritable Aircraft Platform Sharing (LCAAPS)program. This program focused on building several aircraft variants from a common core chassis. Since then, this prototype for CCA has successfully completed two additional test flights, laying the groundwork for a successful production and flight test program. GA-ASI’s CCA production representative design is based upon the XQ-67A Off-Board Sensing Station developed by GA-ASI for the AFRL.

“The CCA program redefines the future of aviation and will shape the USAF acquisition model to deliver affordable combat mass to the warfighter at the speed of relevancy,” said Mike Atwood, Vice President of Advanced Programs for GA-ASI.

“Throughout our 30-year history, GA-ASI has been at the forefront of rapidly advancing unmanned aircraft systems that support our warfighters,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “The USAF is moving forward with GA-ASI due to our focused commitment to unmanned air-to-air combat operations and unmatched UAS experience, ensuring the production of the CCA aircraft at scale to deliver affordable combat mass for the warfighter.”

To complement the CCA contract, GA-ASI will continue to conduct a series of autonomy and mission system tests on the MQ-20 Avenger® UAS and XQ-67A to accelerate the readiness of operational autonomy. These live flight tests will continue to demonstrate the readiness of the full mission capability to support the emerging U.S. Air Force Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACP).

Mayman Aerospace Unveiling First Full-Scale Model of Razor P100 Military VTOL During SOF Week 2024

Ventura, Ca./ 23 April 2024 – Mayman Aerospace will unveil a full-scale model of Razor, its high-speed Air Utility Vehicle, during SOF Week 2024, May 6-10 in Tampa, Florida.

Razor is the name for the military variant of the dual-use, jet-powered, high-speed vertical take-off and landing (HS-VTOL) vehicle, from US-based manufacturer Mayman Aerospace. Derived from the Speeder design, the scalable Razor aircraft will be sized for payloads up to 1,000lb. Prototypes are already under construction for flight test in Q3 this year. The 100lb-payload Razor P100 is expected to fly first, and the 500lb-payload Razor P500 soon after. Mayman Aerospace will showcase a full-scale Razor P100 model during SOF Week 2024.

With more than US$120 million in LOI commitments from customers in Europe and Australia, plus US$3.25 million in US Department of Defense funding, Mayman Aerospace has been expanding its experienced engineering team while ramping up for flight testing.

Mayman Aerospace has also announced development of SkyField™, an AI-driven, autonomous Razor operating environment engineered for seamless integration into existing third-party battlefield management systems. SkyField will enable immediate, effective Razor operations alongside existing hardware and software systems, plus a simplified route to future capability development.

“We are excited to further define and develop Razor and the SkyField operating system as we work to bring the aircraft’s extensive capabilities to the warfighter. Razor is just the first step in creating the SkyField flight mesh. Alongside our Department of Defense colleagues, we are realizing the full capability unlocked by Razor’s unique design in combat scenarios, humanitarian and disaster relief operations, and training,” says David Mayman, CEO and founder of Mayman Aerospace.

Razor fulfills disparate missions in an era where real-world battlefield requirements are rapidly evolving. The need for combat mass through multiple, highly capable, low-cost, and attritable platforms is rapidly emerging. Razor’s low cost, jet speed, and VTOL versatility make it uniquely suitable for the next-generation battlespace.

Easily transported for mass launch in the field, from ships, or the air, Razor may be configured for contested logistics, armed with Hellfire or Brimstone missiles as a range extender for precision attack, flown as a low-cost cruise missile, or equipped with advanced sensors for ISTAR, electronic warfare, and the suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD). The aircraft will also be used as a high-speed, low-cost target drone, requiring no special launch infrastructure for air-to-air and air defense training.
