Froelich Finishes First at the Minnesota TriGun Championship

Sunday, June 19th, 2022

ANOKA, Minnesota – June 15, 2022 – Team Federal congratulates brand ambassador Josh Froelich on winning 1st Overall and 1st Open Division titles at the 2022 Vortex JP Tri-Gun held at Forest Lake Sportsman’s Club in Minnesota, June 11-12. Federal Ammunition was a Platinum Sponsor for the event.

“This event is shotgun heavy, as most Minnesota events are, and had a focus on technical shooting skills. That meant small steel plates and challenging paper targets. A lot of movement and difficult shooting positions were the name of the game up here,” stated Froelich, a Minnesota native, who relied on Federal handgun, rifle, and shotshell ammunition to win big at this prestigious match. “Competition is always tight and many of the best in the country come up to Minnesota to compete. The Minnesota TriGun Championship is one of my favorite events of the year and I am super excited that I was able to secure the win here in 2022.”

Team Federal’s Tucker Schmidt took 3rd in the Open Division and 5th Overall. Varick Beise took 3rd in Tactical Optics Division and 6th Overall.

“This match had some great shooters in attendance, as always. Froelich did what Froelich does, and he cleaned house,” said Jason Spradling, Federal’s Shooting Sports Promotions Manager. “Tucker and Varick fought hard to claim third place finishes in each of their divisions. Federal congratulates all of these guys on their successes.”

“I was fortunate enough to pull a 3rd place finish in a stacked field of competitors,” said Schmidt. “I was running the Federal Gold Medal Match with 69-grain Sierra bullets in my rifle. They always provide handload-level quality, consistency, and they never disappoint. That’s why I choose Federal.”

“This match was very fun and challenging, with most of the stages involving running bay to bay or through the woods. The longer stages and sporty shots made this match one of my favorites,” said Beise. “The event organizers there put together a great match for all shooters. I am grateful for the good range officers, volunteers and sponsors that made it all possible.”

Federal Ambassador Julie Golob Takes Gold and Silver at the 2022 Bianchi Cup

Sunday, June 5th, 2022

ANOKA, Minnesota – June 2, 2022 – Federal Ammunition is proud to congratulate legendary shooter, hunter, author, mother, and U.S. Army veteran Julie Golob on an excellent performance at the 2022 Bianchi Cup. Competitors from throughout the United States and worldwide attended the event, which is the Action Pistol National Championships and International Tournament, held at Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club near Columbia, Missouri, May 25-27, 2022. Golob took home the Women’s Team Gold Medal and was the Women’s Silver Medalist. She placed 20th Overall in the Open Division.

“After a challenging 2 years of contending with COVID-19, this sport is building back up to pre-pandemic attendance, which is great to see,” said Golob. “The event consisted of four courses of fire: Practical, Barricades, Falling Plates, and Moving Target. The match tests extreme accuracy and speed. Unlike many other action shooting sports, Bianchi is unique in that there is a perfect score. It allows you to track your progress and test yourself against the best shooters in the world.”

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – May 20, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, is celebrating pro shooter KC Eusebio’s Open Division win at the 2022 Dragons Cup, where he successfully defended his title from the previous year. Fresh off his recent wins at the World Speed Shooting Championship, Eusebio returned to the USPSA circuit with his trusted Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight to claim the Open title.

“This year’s Dragons Cup was one of the hardest matches I’ve shot in over the last few years, and I absolutely loved it,” said Eusebio. “When you must push yourself against 107-degree weather, moving targets and accuracy driven stages, your gear absolutely cannot fail. There’s just so much to like about the FS2 that I can’t imagine using anything else on my Open division rig.”

Featuring a large objective lens, the First Strike 2.0 is extremely versatile and lets users quickly find their target with ease. It features a crisp, 3-MOA dot reticle along with an increased recoil rating plus enhanced brightness capabilities.
