Precision Shooter Bryan Sikes Signs with Hoppe’s

Former Special Forces Sniper to Join Hoppe’s Shooting Team

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – March 1, 2021 – Hoppe’s, the No.1 name in gun care products, is pleased to announce that competitive long-range shooter and precision gunsmith Bryan Sikes has joined Team Hoppe’s for the 2021 competitive shooting season.

Sikes is a lifelong shooter and hunter who took his passion for long-range shooting into the competitive arena after 12 years in the armed forces. While in the U.S. Army, he served as a Special Operations Sniper with the 7th Special Forces Group. Sikes won his unit’s Top Sniper award in 2014 and 2015, and finished 7th and 9th in 2014 and 2015 at the Annual USASOC International Sniper Competition. He is also an active member of the PRS community and has worked as a precision rifle builder at GA Precision for the last five years.

Elite Shotgun Shooters Hawley, Horton, Cherry, Frauens and More Join Team Remington

Lonoke, Arkansas – February 16, 2021 – Remington Ammunition has announced its formation of an elite team of shooters who will compete in top national and worldwide competitions in 2021. The building of Remington’s strongest team ever included recruiting seven of today’s top shooters across all shotgun disciplines. 

For Trap, the team has signed Sean Hawley of Vernal, Utah and Chase Horton of St. Charles, Illinois. For Skeet, Clay Baldwin of Corona Del Mar, California and Lauren Burge of Mount Pleasant, Texas joined the team. Also representing Team Remington, for Skeet, Reanna Frauens of Coral Springs, Florida, Michael Luongo of Chester, South Carolina and Master NSSA instructor and 24-time NSSA World Champion Todd Bender. Finally, representing team Remington, in the sporting clays division is Tennessee’s Wendell Cherry, a world-renowned coach and sporting clays champion in the PSCA and FITASC circuits Cherry, from Red Boiling Springs, TN was the recent High Overall at the Zoli Classic, held at the South Florida Shooting Club in Palm City, Florida January 28-31, 2021.

“We’ve assembled a great group of driven and highly skilled ambassadors from the competitive shooting world who can win any event they are competing in,” said Jason Nash, V.P. of Marketing for Remington Ammunition. “These talented individuals are both great role models and great shooters—which is the theme for Team Remington—and guiding principles for how we choose our members.”

The list of career accomplishments from these athletes throughout their competitive shooting careers shows a true dedication and passion for the shooting sports.

Sean Hawley, an ATA Hall of Fame member, is one of the best All-Around shooters in the ATA competitive circuit. He is noted for his Doubles shooting and has won many awards at the Grand American. Sean is a multiple-time first team All-American and is involved daily in the shooting world as a gun club owner and the current editor of Trapshooting USA magazine. Chase Horton is the 2020 ATA Captain of the Open All-American team and has also won the 2019 HOA at the Grand American.

Both Clay Baldwin and Lauren Burge are the current World Skeet HOA champions and are the 2021 Captains of their respective All-American teams for the NSSA.

Reanna Frauens is an upcoming shooter and freshman at the University of Florida. She has won many awards in SCTP in both sporting and trap and is the current National Sporting Clay champion in the women’s FITASC event. A key talent, Michael Luongo is a serious contender at any competition he enters and has many major wins in his career.

Team SIG’s Lena Miculek Becomes First Female to Capture an Overall PCC Championship in Competition

Team SIG’s Lena Miculek Takes Overall PCC Title at Florida Open&nbsp

NEWINGTON, N.H., (February 23, 2021) – SIG SAUER congratulates Team SIG professional shooter Lena Miculek for a remarkable career first for taking the Overall Championship Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) division title at the 2021 Annual Florida Open.  Additionally, Miculek earned the High Lady title and First Grandmaster for the competition.

SIG Custom Works Collaborates with Team SIG’s Max Michel to Develop the P320MAX

The SIG Custom Works P320MAX has been concepted and designed with Team SIG Captain Max Michel and is optimized for Carry Optics competition.

Team SIG’s Lena Miculek Earns The Gundies Most Influential Female Award

Shotgun Shooters on Team Federal Enjoyed Another Great Year of Success and Look Forward to 2021

ANOKA, Minnesota – January 8, 2021 – The list of Team Federal competition wins for Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays in 2020 is long and impressive. Season highlights included Federal sponsored shooters winning big at the 2020 National Sporting Clays Championships and the 2020 Main World Skeet Championships, plus many other competitions across the country.

In Trap, both Aaron Willoughby and Grayson Stuart completed their Grand Slam, and Ray Stafford was selected as Team Captain of the Senior Vet Team. In Skeet, Jason Ward won the World Champion title in the 28-gauge division of the 2020 Main World Skeet Championships, and Paul Giambrone was named World Champion in the Champion of Champions event. In Sporting Clays, Team Federal’s newest member Derrick Mein topped the podium as High Over All (HOA) at the 2020 National Sporting Clays Championships. Janet McDougall took home Runner-Up honors in the Main Lady Event.

“Team Federal certainly has some of the top shooters in the world, and they did well all year long in multiple disciplines. Kyle Defoor Shoots a 665 out of 700 on the “Humbler” Pistol Qual

Kyle Defoor shot an impressive 665 on the 700 point “Humbler” Pistol Qual using a Staccato C2 with iron sights.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Humbler, it’s also called the 700 point aggregate. It was created by Larry Vickers while he was with SFOD-D.

The qualification consists of 70 rounds fired on NRA B-8 bullseye targets at a range of 25 yards. A fresh target is used for each string to minimize scoring errors. Rounds impacting outside the marked scoring zones are zero points.

–5 rounds
–freestyle from the holster
–time limit: 20 seconds
–repeat a second time for total of 10 rounds fired

As far as I know, no one has ever made a perfect score on this qualification.
