Bushnell and Hoppe’s Shooters Represent United States at World Shoot XIX

Monday, December 19th, 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – December 15, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, along with Hoppe’s®, the No.1 name in gun care products, congratulate pro shooters Jessie Harrison, KC Eusebio and Maggie Reese for their impressive performances representing Team USA at the 2022 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XIX. The competition took place November 27 – December 3, 2022, in Pattaya, Thailand.

Harrison, a sponsored shooter for both Bushnell and Hoppe’s, helped her team bring home the gold medal in the Ladies Open Team division. In the individual Ladies Open competition, Harrison earned an impressive second place finish using the Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. Meanwhile, fellow Bushnell and Hoppe’s teammate Reese, competed in the Production Division and helped her team take home the bronze medal. In the individual men’s competition, Bushnell Pro Eusebio took fourth place overall in the Open division using a prototype of a new Bushnell red dot against a stacked field of competitors.

“After waiting five years for this competition, Thailand delivered one of the best world championships I’ve had the privilege to shoot,” Harrison said. “To represent the United States of America on the largest platform available in this sport will always be the greatest honor! We’re bringing home the gold medal for Ladies Open Team and I couldn’t be more proud. This is by far the best team I’ve ever competed with, each lady bringing a skill and talent to the team that was needed!”

During the match, Harrison used her trusted Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. The legacy red dot has been used by Harrison throughout the 2022 season, assisting her with multiple wins on the regional, national and world circuit. Harrison believes the red dot’s large objective lens and bright, daylight settings of illumination make it perfectly matched for fast paced action-pistol competitions.

Eusebio, who competed in the individual Open division, elected to use a yet-to-be-released red dot from Bushnell. Eusebio has been working with Bushnell throughout the development of the new dot and is excited to continue competing with it during the 2023 season. The new red dot is set to make its official debut in January.

“The new prototype red dot from Bushnell worked above and beyond my expectations,” said Eusebio. “This dot has everything I’ve been seeking, from its large field of view and robust housing to clean, clear glass with a crisp, perfect dot. I’m absolutely in love with it.”

Eusebio continued, “I had a lot of people asking about the new dot and wanting to know more details. However, all I could tell them is that they would just have to wait and see what Bushnell has in store.”

Team Federal’s Alysia Burrows Shines at the 2022 PCSL 2-Gun Championship

Sunday, December 4th, 2022

ANOKA, Minnesota – November 29, 2022 – Federal Ammunition congratulates Team Federal sponsored shooter and brand ambassador Alysia Burrows, who recently too took home 1st Lady Practical Division at the 2022 PCSL 2-Gun Championship.

“This was Alysia’s first major match returning to the action shooting sports after a 6-month break taken to recover from rotator cuff surgery immediately after winning 1st Lady in 2-Gun Division at the Superstition Mountain Mystery match this past March,” said Federal’s Marketing Director Brian Anderson. “It doesn’t appear as if she has missed a beat, getting back on the clock and ready to tackle anything the stage throws at her. With this win, she secured the top Lady position in Practical Division for her second year in a row. We congratulate her and everyone on Team Federal for their excellent performances this fall.”

Burrows relies on Federal Syntech Action Pistol 150-grain 9mm in her handgun; American Eagle 55-grain .223 Rem and Federal Premium Gold Medal 69-grain Sierra MatchKing .223 Rem in her rifles.

“I was excited to get back and shoot at this event. This match is known for attracting some of the best around, and it’s always a privilege to shoot alongside them,” said Burrows. “What really gave me my edge at this match was Syntech. This handgun load has low recoil, but also has strong power to knock down all the large heavy steel. And in a match like this, the long range can make or break your game, the 69-grain .223 Rem. Gold Medal rounds worked fantastically well. It’s nice to have ammo that you can depend on to get the job done.”

Federal ammunition can be found at dealers nationwide or purchased online direct from Federal. For more information on all products from Federal or to shop online, visit www.federalpremium.com.

Internationally recognized as the only long-range precision rifle match of its kind, the competition has been the catalyst of introducing thousands of new shooters to the sport since its inception.

As part of this year’s competition, Elite Tactical, in conjunction with Bergara Rifles and Lapua® rimfire ammunition, sponsored a side stage where shooters had the opportunity to try out the new Elite Tactical DMR3 riflescope with new EQL reticles. Shooters also competed for the side stage’s awards for the top pro and amateur.

The year’s largest PRS match drew hundreds of attendees, and more than 80,000 rounds were fired throughout the three-day event. In addition to competition stages, the GAP Grind featured a vendor area, live music and entertainment. Bushnell gave out $5,000 to the top place finishers and added over $5,000 worth of product to the prize table. The brand also gave out three special awards during the event – the Deserving Amateur Award, the Deserving RO (Range Officer) Award, and the Top Sportsman’s Award, which is given to a competitor who exhibits the “spirit of the Grind” during the match by helping others and showing good sportsmanship.

“Sponsoring the GAP Grind is always a privilege, and this 10-year mark made it especially fun,” said Matt Rice, Bushnell senior media relations manager. “GAP Grind is all about giving both experienced and new shooters a welcoming place to test and hone their skills, and our partners at K&M, GA Precision and PRS have done a fantastic job of making that goal a reality.”

Friday, October 7th, 2022

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – October 5, 2022 – Blackhawk®, a leader in law enforcement and military equipment for over 20 years, congratulates Blackhawk tactical athlete Zach Rodman and teammate Jared Halbert on their second-place finish in the Men’s Elite division at the Tactical Games Panthera in Old Fields, West Virginia.

Eighty-five total teams plus 25 individuals competed at the Tactical Games Panthera, with 48 teams competing in the Men’s Intermediate, Tactical, Master’s and Elite divisions. The team format gives competitors a unique opportunity to leverage their teammates’ strengths as well as a unique challenge to overcome weaknesses as they carry weights, shoot through courses of fire and navigate obstacles.

“It was a great event and the pieces really fell into place for me and Jared,” Rodman said. “Having gear you can always rely on is critical in the Tactical Games, and I think the T-Series and Foundation Tac Nylon gear do a great job of keeping my sidearm secure and accessible in addition to keeping me mobile.”

Rodman, a 15-year veteran of the Kokomo, Indiana, police force and SWAT team, equipped himself throughout the competition with Blackhawk’s T-Series® L3D holster as well as best-in-class Foundation Series Tac Nylon gear, including lightweight plate carrier, belt and pouches. Saturday, September 3rd, 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – August 31, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, is celebrating pro shooter Jessie Harrison’s dominant performances at the recent USPSA Area 5 and Area 3 Championships. Harrison, who is also a sponsored Hoppe’s athlete, recorded back-to-back High Lady titles at two of the USPSA’s most competitive championships.

Harrison won the High Lady title at the 2022 Cheely Custom Gunworks Area 5 Championship in Brooklyn, Michigan, and then went on to clinch the High Lady title at the 2022 Hornady Area 3 Championship in Grand Island, Nebraska. Her latest wins add to an already impressive 2022 season, which includes the High Lady title at the Area 1 Championship and the coveted Overall Steel Master award at the 2022 World Speed Shooting Championships held earlier in the year.

Throughout both the Area 5 and Area 3 matches, Harrison relied on her First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. One of Bushnell’s most versatile optics, the First Strike 2.0 features a large objective lens, brighter daylight settings and a rugged design that stands up to the rigors of USPSA competition.

“In any match, I rely heavily on optics and what I can see,” said Harrison. “The Bushnell First Strike 2.0 gives me a bright, clean edged red dot, that allows me to acquire a sight picture as soon as possible and be as precise as needed.”
