First Lite is well known for wool hunting wear. This year they’ve introduced aerowool which is a combination of merino wool and 37.5’s moisture wicking stranded poly. It dries three times as fast as merino. There are four new garments for hot weather.

During SOFIC last year I was invited by 5.11 Tactical to preview their HEXGRID technology. Much to my surprise, I saw some samples of the technology in their SHOT Show booth.
Like the name implies, HEXGRID consists of hexagon shaped holes in a substrate which will accept PALS compatible pouches. Due to the geometry, the pouches can be attached at several angles rather than just up and down.
This is the Spartan Harsey Folder which is a collaboration with Bill Harsey. These are the two base models. One is stone washed and the other is Black PVD coated body and blade with uncoated (shiny ) hardware.
Everything except the blade, pivot and stop pin are titanium. The 4″ blade is made from S35VN with and an overall length of 8-13/16″.

In addition to a breathing apparatus, it EBIS incorprates a power inflator.
There is also a pressure relief valve on the inflation system.
