Petzl’s new Jag System is a prebuilt 4 to 1 mechanical advantage system.  Bothe ends feature double pulleys and one end it has a built-in progress capture or ratchet.  Additionally, the rope is contained in a sock so it won’t tangle.

SOFIC 2015 – Core Survival JPL

The Portable Jump Light (JPL) from Core Survival is designed for temporary install in nonstandard aircraft to support airborne operations.  

  There are two modules; the Control Module is mounted in the cockpit so the pilot can remotely command (via RF) the Light Module at the jump door to transition from Red to Green.

The current U.S. Issue Vapor Barrier Boot is very labor intensive to produce and can currently only be made by a single factory in Canada.  It so happens that the firm that can produce the VB boot, AirBoss Defense, also makes the Candian Forces Extreme Cold Weather Mukluk.  This Mukluk protects the feet to the same temperature as the VB Boot (0 to -55 Deg C) is lighter weight, features a removable liner and insoles and is also taller.

SOFIC 2015 – Magpul Completes PMAG 17 GL9 Updates

Early versions of the Magpul PMAG17 GL9 magazines for 9mm GLOCK pistols had some issues feeding some hollow point ammunition.  They quickly acknowledged the issue and updated the bodies of the magazine.  Not only were all replacements sent out for those who had faulty mags, but every new magazine shipping is the updated model.

TEA Headsets is now formally announces the release of the new Ops-Core RAC Headset (Rail Attached Communications) to market for purchase or evaluation. *Note product evaluations are limited to teams/units only.

The new RAC Headset is the next evolution for over-the-ear (OTE) headsets and showcases a streamlined design that integrates directly into the helmet rail system. The RAC mounts to the rear portion of the helmet rail leaving the main portion of the rail free for other critical accessories such as cameras, lights, O2 masks or other accessories. Compatibility wise the RAC is able to fit onto the rail systems of the Ops-Core® Fast, Maritime and Sentry helmets as well as other brands of high cut helmets (inquire directly with TEA for additional information).
