Last week, we mentioned Haley Strategic Partners’ new Disruptive Environments series of classes. The point of the training is to put a variety of your skills to the test in a more realistic and holistic environment.
HSP has just announced course dates. Visit the course calendar page and look for the course you are interested in. Subject matter varies.
I know its been a long time since we last posted one of these but we often run across articles that we feel may be of interest to our readers. Here are a few.
It sounds pretty cool. You’re looking at application of fundamental skills in realistic situations. There’s no repetition here. There won’t be an instructor standing beside you telling you to tuck your elbow in or keep your eyes open. Think of it as an experience that will train the one thing rarely exercised on the range; your mind. This makes it a program for students who have a firm grasp of fundamentals and are ready for the next level of development.
Additionally, Haley Strategic Partners is offering civilian classes in addition to Military/LE only classes. Courses will be unique to the environments they are conducted in. The class may incorporate vehicle operations, CQB, problem solving and navigation in both daylight and darkness, tracking, survival, human interaction and more.
Red Stitch Tactical has a new enhanced rifle “dueling tree”. Similar to the one we reported on before, the “enhanced long range rifle dueling tree” is designed for focused precision rifle fire training and practice at long ranges. The basic platform consists of 4 steel plates (AR500 steel) on a 3/4″ steel bar, with a 3/8″ angle iron shield in place to deflect errant shots to the side so you don’t eat it up on a bad day.
The base can be staked on uneven surfaces or mounted straight to a 1/2″ square tube that can be permanently mounted at a range. Red Stitch Tactical is a veteran owned business.
Specifications-
– (4) 8″ AR500 steel target plates
– 3/8″ angle iron shield
– Base included but also set up to be mounted directly into a 1/2″ square tube in the ground

We’ve been asked a couple of times if the special deal on Roclite 295s from Extreme Outfitters is still valid and the answer is, “Of Course.” I own a pair and they are a great shoe, and this is a great deal.

– Advanced Meta-Flexâ„¢ technology is anatomically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads for a natural forefoot flex.
– New 5-finger meta-shank aligns with each individual metatarsal for greater flexibility when contouring while retaining underfoot impact protection.
– Advanced Meta-Flexâ„¢ technology is anatomically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads for a natural forefoot flex.

Patrol rifle courses, tactical shooting classes, SWAT and room entries, offensive/defensive driving, ballistic shield work, grappling and defensive tactics…just a few of the things the Women’s Tactical Association has been doing over the last couple of years. Though there are the usual haters and nay-sayers (as always), given the quality and caliber of some of their instructors it’s pretty clear how serious they are. Any doubters are welcome to show up to a training event and see for themselves. One of the WTA staffers, Kim Heath, is an NPRC competitor and a contributor over with our friends at BOLO Reportand the WTA President Karen Bartuch is apparently going to start writing there as well.
WTA member at the LMT Booth at SHOT: they're supposed to be visiting the LMT factory soon.
We bring up the WTA here because they are trying to get the word out to military females. Whether you’re a female K9 Security Forces airman who just PCSed to Andrews from Altus or a seasoned gunnery sergeant out at Pendleton (shout out to Bunch and Byer there), they’d like to get you involved. Initially they were thinking mostly of Security Forces and Military Police females, but as the organization has grown they’ve made a place for women of a number of backgrounds (OSI, CID, engineers, you name it). You may recall Tactical Fanboy ran an article on them previously; three of these tough ladies were at SHOT – Kim and Karen and another veteran officer named Jessica. We had time to catch up with them briefly despite the demands many of the larger companies were making on their time.
WTA member at SWAT Roundup recently.
Karen conducted an impromptu interview with the NRA, which you’ll find below. If you’re interested in joining the WTA (they also have male members, FYI, many of whom you right recognize), check them out on line, on their Facebook page or just e-mail them at womenstactical(at)sbcglobal.net. Oh, and they’ve got a new YouTube Channel as well.
