Lanco Tactical, LLC – Grip Stop Mod 2

Friday, December 6th, 2013

IMG_4418

Lanco Tactical, LLC is pleased to announce the Grip Stop Mod 2. The Grip Stop Mod 2 is the next step in the evolution of the original Grip Stop design. It takes the original Grip Stop and adds the ability to mount it directly onto any standard 1913 Picatinny rail. The original Grip Stop was the culmination of a brainchild design by a former U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran to fill the void between using a vertical grip and hand stop. It allows a variable angle grip to prevent locking the wrist. Use as an assist to the modern “C grip” technique or as a barrier stop. The Grip Stop™ Mod 2 is 100% designed and made in the USA. It is made from solid billet aluminum and then hard coat anodized black.

The Grip Stop Mod 2 fits: MK-18 Block 2 (Daniel Defense); Heckler & Koch 416 & M27 IAR; KAC MK-11, MK-12 & M110 Sniper Rifles; Standard Issue M-16A4, M4 & M4A1; Any Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny Rail. With a weight of just over 3 oz. the Grip Stop Mod 2 will not add unwanted weight to a weapon.

The Grip Stop Mod 2 is available now from Lanco Tactical, LLC. For more information on government, LEO, Dealer, or Distributor purchases, please contact Lanco Tactical at 717-367-7221 or www.lancotactical.com.

Arsenal, Inc. Releases SM-13 To Public

Thursday, December 5th, 2013

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

LAS VEGAS, NV – After the successful fulfillment of a military requirement, Arsenal, Inc. is excited to announce the release of the SM-13 to the commercial market. This one-piece side-attaching scope mount for the AK variant rifles was born to meet and exceed the toughest objectives put in front of Arsenal, Inc. The SM-13 was designed and manufactured specifically to surpass the following requirements:

  • To come up with a light-weight, precision, and highly rigid scope mount platform for military application: The one-piece CNC precision machined SM-13 is manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum alloy for the minimum weight (only 5.76 ounces) and maximum strength.
  • To have the maximum-length Picatinny railing system for attaching top mounted devices, such as scopes, red dot systems, night visions, and magnifiers: The over-7.5-inches-long Picatinny rail that runs along the rifle, from the end of the top cover to the rear sight leaf, allows for attaching multiple devices at the same time or one device for the maximum eye relief.
  • To have the lowest profile that adds the minimum to the bulk of the rifle and allows the use of iron sights while the mount is installed: The SM-13 follows the contour of the rifle closely. The absolute low profile and the relief cut along the rail allow the use of the iron sights even when the scope mount is attached to the rifle.
  • To have a quick-release attaching mechanism that provides the maximum stability and consistency: The SM-13 utilizes the time-proven steel adjustable locking mechanism that allows instantaneous attachment and release of the scope mount without any compromise to the accuracy and loss of zero. Unlike some other mounts that attach to unstable top covers or gas tubes, the SM-13 attaches to the side scope rail of an AK variant rifle, which provides the most stable attaching platform on the rifle.
  • The SM-13 is now available through distributors and retailers nationwide.

The mount is designed to fit on any standard 1913 Picatinny rail, is available in right or left side models, and integrates with the Magpul XTM panels. Its design positions the weapon light high and cantilevered forward, at the 11 o’clock or 1 o’clock position, to allow for a more forward support hand position, keep the light tucked in close to the bore, and to minimize barrel shadow. A textured thumb ramp is integrated to provide the user an index point, aiding consistent hand placement and light activation.

    Sierra 7 Bipods

    Wednesday, December 4th, 2013

    S7

Billed as ‘The World’s Finest Bipod’, the S7 bipod was developed by active duty soldier and competitive shooter Daniel Horner. It’s designed to give the modern sniper, who is employing larger caliber and more accurate rifles, a suitable support.

    Pan

The Sierra 7 has a pan feature that allows for unparalleled precision. There is no play in any direction which makes engaging moving targets and transitioning from target to target easier. The S7 has a tension lever on the rear that allows the tracking feature to be tensioned from free to locked, and in-between, in 3/8 of a turn. There is a total of 90 degrees of panning, 45 degrees in each direction, and a rugged stop on each side ensures the rifle is always supported.

    Tilt

The tilt feature on the S7 allows the bipod to rotate smoothly regardless of the amount of tension applied to the mechanism. The tension is adjustable from completely free to completely locked in 3/8 of a turn, with an infinite amount of tension adjustment in-between. The S7 features a total of 60 degrees of tilt, 30 degrees in each direction.

    Leg-Extended

The outer tubes of the legs on the S7 are machined from steel. This allowed Sierra 7 to make a leg with virtually no play. Taking into account the variety of environments the bipod could be deployed in, there is enough room for dirt and debris to fall away, and a powerful spring pushes the inner legs out.

    Feet

The S7 can be outfitted with two types of feet: the rugged, reliable, and time-tested rubber feet, and the S7 Raptor Claws. The Raptor Claws are an original concept by Sierra 7, designed to enhance the user’s shooting position when ‘loading’ the bipod or trying to grab onto any type of footing. In fact, with the S7’s legs locked in the 45 degree position, with Raptor Claws attached, and the bipods ‘loaded’, it becomes much easier for the shooter to regularly watch their own trace.

The S7 bipod is available for sale directly from Sierra 7 Bipods. Made in the USA from US materials.
