P.I.G. Saddle

Shadow Tech, LLC describes their P.I.G. (Professionally Instructed Gunman) Saddle as the AK-47 version of their popular HOG Saddle, in that it’s just as durable and reliable as its older brother, but at roughly a third of the cost. It’s constructed from steel with superior corrosion resistance and uses UV resistant pads – specifically engineered to absorb rifle recoil and reduce muzzle jump. The heavy duty torque knob is made from polymer and the P.I.G. features steel 1/4-20 mounting threads and 3/8-16 back up threads. The P.I.G. is manufactured in the USA.

HTC/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day – FIREClean

Sunday, October 13th, 2013

IMG_1676

At the recent HTC/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day we took a look at FIREClean, an odorless, biodegradable gun oil that destroys carbon contamination and helps prevent future fouling. It cleans and lubricates, and firearms treated with FIREClean “blows out” fouling instead of trapping it. FIREClean is also extremely heat resistance, especially when compared to conventional or synthetic oils. Made in the USA.

Bravo Company USA is beginning sales of the newest iterations of their popular Gunfighter Grip Mod and Vertical Grip weapon components.

Gunfighter Grip Mod 3

The Grip Mod 3 features a reduced angle for improved ergonomics and trigger control. A hinged trap door offers storage inside the grip with a water-resistant rubber gasket. The Grip Mod 3 has an extended forward tang to close the gap between the trigger guard and grip and a high rise “beavertail” style back strap. This grip is up to a quarter of an inch wider when compared to the BCMGunfighter Mod 0 and Mod 1 grips.

Vertical Grip SHORT

The Vertical Grip SHORT is designed with a low-profile length for increased mobility and decreased “snag” factor. The forward angle increases the rigidity of the forearm while providing a more natural wrist angle. Spring loaded, reversible clamps allow for easy installation and removal and for users to setup fasteners on either side; this allows the SHORT to be mounted in reverse angle to increase control when grabbing handguard and grip. The grip’s flat sides give better yaw control to the shooter during firing and non-firing manipulations. Cross bolt mount designed to work with improvised tools and allow for easy adjustment or re-tightening.

Both the Mod 3 grip and vertical SHORT are made in the U.S.A. and manufactured from high quality, impact resistant polymers. Available color options: Black, Flat Dark Earth and Foliage Green.

What do you guys think?

Black Creek, GA – September 30, 2013 – Daniel Defense, Inc. has unveiled the latest advancement in rail systems for the AR15 platform. The AR15 Lite Rail II is the next generation of Lite Rail from Daniel Defense. With thousands of the Lite Rail Series already in existence, this proven handguard just got better.

The improved design enhances the rail’s structural integrity, improves functionality, aesthetics and ease of installation to the weapon system without compromising its best-known attributes, one of which being the lightest rail system on the market. Enhanced features include a machined from one piece aluminum rail which replaces our previous two piece welded design, our patented Bolt-Up System™, requiring only 4 bolts instead of 6, with tabs that aid in alignment to the upper receiver during installation. Front and Rear Sling Swivel Attachment Points are integrated into both the left and right side rails and are designed to limit the swivel’s rotation.

“Once we develop and deploy a new product, we begin discussing how we can make an already superior product even better,” says Marty Daniel, President and CEO of Daniel Defense. “The AR15 Lite Rail II is the product of innovative thought and a very talented team of engineers. In the end, we made it even Lighter, Stronger, Better…”

The AR15 Lite Rail II is available in multiple lengths and variations, including: AR15 Lite Rail II 7.0, 9.0, 9.5 FSP, 10.0, 12.0, 12.0 FSP, 12.0 FSPM and 14.0. While most options are available now, the AR15 Lite Rail II 12.0 FSPM and 14.0 will be available in Q1, 2014.

Magpul Dynamics’ Caylen Wojcik Wins 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge With Carbon Fiber Barrel From PROOF Research

Monday, September 30th, 2013

A .25 MOA, 800-yard cold bore shot was just one of the highlights of Caylen Wojcik’s win this weekend at the 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge. Competing against 49 highly trained shooters, with teams from Ireland, United States Army Special Operations, and SWAT, Caylen, the Director of Precision Rifle Training for Magpul Dynamics and a former USMC Scout/Sniper, landed a decisive victory finishing 74 points higher than the second place winner.

And he did it using a latest technology carbon fiber-wrapped barrel from Proof Research.
According to Caylen, “I’ve been using Proof Research carbon-fiber barrels since the beginning of the year so I knew what to expect. It’s all about consistency and the confidence that my rounds will go where they need to go every time. The Proof Research barrel gives me that. Some of the strings of fire required 20 rounds fired almost as fast as you can reacquire the target—with Proof’s carbon fiber technology, there’s no point of impact shift as the barrel heats up. Everything is point of aim, point of impact.”

Proof Research’s CEO, Pat Rainey, noted, “We are wildly excited for Caylen, not only for his win in the match, but for becoming the first in history to win a precision rifle competition with a carbon fiber barrel. We expect that to quickly become commonplace, but Caylen was the first.”

Caylen’s equipment included:
-PROOF Research 24” carbon fiber-wrapped barrel chambered in .308
-R700 action in Kinetic Research Whiskey-3 chassis
-Thunderbeast Arms suppressor
-Vortex Razor HD optic
-PNW Arms 175gr Match
