Tactical Tailor’s SBR bag is designed with non-permissive environments in mind as SOF operators find themselves required to work with a lower signature. The bag is ideal for those who might find themselves infil/exfiling from an urban hide, intelligence gathering, or travel in and out of sensitive areas where “guns up” may draw unnecessary attention. The Tactical Tailor SBR bag is also ideal for SWAT operators who find they are transitioning rapidly from surveillance to mobile assault team role. The Tactical Tailor SBR bag is Berry Amendment compliant and has already drawn praise from SOF units the world over.
The Tactical Tailor SBR bag is capable of holding a M-4 style rifle with a 10.5”. The bad will also accommodate a SCAR rifle with the butt stock collapsed. Additionally, a 16” barrel M-4 may be carried broken down. Feedback from down range is that if you carry the mag seated in the lower when it’s broken down, you’ll back in the shooting business rather quickly. Finally, the SBR bag interior is lined with loop so the user can configure the load out for the specific mission.
The rifle is accessed from the outside using a concealed panel that opens upward. Through Tactical Tailor’s T&E process they found that an upward open flap allows wearers to “fight off of each other’s back” and eliminates nylon flapping around if the user isn’t able to immediately ditch the pack.
The pack comes with a cover that will convert the bag from a backpack to luggage to protect straps and buckles during travel or storage.
There is room inside the pack for a helmet with NODs , snivel gear and chow. The bag will be available in several nontraditional colors (although the photos feature Kryptek Typhon) and is designed to appear as a traditional trekker’s pack. There are two water bottle pockets on the sides to keep your hydration handy and close attention has been paid to the small features such as pack stays and rubberized fabric trim to give it a civilian appearance.
The Tactical Tailor SBR bag is designed to work in conjunction with TT’s low vis Sling Bag, Low Vis Plate carriers and other minimalist/modular pouches and organizers.
The SBR Bag will Retail around $350.00 with production being completed by the end of June.
The Limited Edition Sand Sling was created for one of Blue Force Gear’s favorite firearms instructors.
The body of this limited edition sling is Desert Sand – a very light tan that is similar to Desert MARPAT, AOR1, or 3 color desert pattern and matched with an A-TACS AU pull tab. Below, you can see it next to a Coyote Brown sling.
The Sand Sling is not padded and incorporates Tan Acetal hardware and 1″ Push Button QD Sling Swivels. The front Swivel is sewn into the front of the sling and another is threaded onto the rear of the sling to easily install on weapons with Push Button swivel sockets without losing overall adjustability.

Extreme Outfitters just received a shipment of CAA Clear Action Mags, there is no limit on these mags but that means they probably won’t last long.
They’ve also lowered the price on their 80% lower receivers to $149.99.
If the recent testimony by Ms. Lynne M. Halbrooks, Principal Deputy Inspector General, Department of Defense Inspector General before the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform discussing issues with the US Army’s Individual Carbine program wasn’t enough to make you question the future of that program, the Army has released or updated several solicitation actions within the last week regarding the M4 Carbine Product Improvement Program including work on an improved bolt, heavy replacement barrel and Fire Control Selector Assembly.
The Dual Path strategy hedges the Army’s bets on a new rifle by improving the carbines they’ve already invested in while simultaneously searching for a replacement.
