McCall, Idaho – Unique-ARs turns ordinary handguards into to the extraordinary by offering customers the ability to completely create and design their own handguard and customize any AR.
Unique-ARs, the premiere manufacturer of custom handguards, is now offering companies an opportunity to take it to the next level and create their own line of handguards. UAR has the unique ability to manufacture custom hand guards that focus on providing companies the ability to strengthen their brand by giving them the freedom to create original designs and integrate their company logo. From mild to wild, companies can turn their concepts and ideas into a handguard that will make their AR stand out.
“UAR is a family owned and operated company that has a passion for the unique and artistic side of machining,” said Jim Corbet, UAR founder. “Our dedication to perfection drives us to produce products that anyone would be proud to own and provides a fantastic opportunity for dealers to up sell and set them apart from others.”
The proprietary free floating handguards and barrel nut assembly makes it easy to switch handguards, such as the cutting edge UAR stock designs or any other UAR custom design or private label part. They also offer wide selection of tac rail that is specific to the UAR free float platform.
“Our design process is simple” said Mike Carpenter, UAR co-owner. “Just provide us with your design and/or concept and our design department will draft up a virtual sample for you to take a look at. Each and every customer works directly with the design department until they are completely satisfied and approve the final design for production.” Customers can add custom colors, use their favorite approved logo, tattoo, or insignia or have them fabricate a completely custom handguard from scratch. “You create it, we make it. The sky is the limit” says Mike. UARs products and services are all inclusive for an affordable set price.
UAR has gained attention from various media outlets and recently secured a spot on the new FRAGO tactical series that features leading industry gear and supplies to showcase what real world operators and professionals in the shooting community are using on a day to day basis. This expanding reach has also attracted new contracts with police departments and some unexpected relationships such as an exclusive license agreement with one of the largest airsoft companies, Evike.com
“We are expanding our 2014 product line” says Corbett, “that will include more custom color options, AR-10 .308, full upper assemblies, suppressors and complete guns with the option to customize lower receivers. We will also emphasize clean looking stock designs that fit the tactical aesthetic and functional accessories such as QD’s and KEYMOD. These will be available in stores soon.”
Unique-ARs has defined and created the custom handguard category and is dedicated to helping customers build premium quality and the most unique AR-15 possible. They can manufacture as few as 1 and as many as 1000+ per month. All handguards include a proprietary barrel nut mounting system and are constructed using 6061 t6 aluminum and come standard in anodized black or Armor Black Cerakote. All colors are offered through Cerakote for additional customization.
Last night, Sig Sauer put up a video of the new P320 modular striker fired pistol. They immediately took the video down, however a reader of ours managed to take screenshots first. Information on the P320 is limited, given Sig’s intent to officially launch it at SHOT Show 2014. However, a few details have been leaked:
This is the write up from the SIG website.
Introducing the P320, a polymer-framed service pistol designed from the ground up with the input of law enforcement officers. The result is the most operator-safety focused striker duty pistol on the market today.
Taking into account the concerns of military and police training officers, the P320 provides an enhanced level of safety not found on most modern service pistols. Unlike its competitors, the P320 does not require the operator to pull the trigger nor use a special tool to take-down the firearm for cleaning or routine maintenance.
Featuring a modular grip frame and removable fire control assembly pioneered by SIG SAUER, the P320 is customizable to any hand size or duty requirement. The P320 can quickly be converted from a Full-size to a Carry pistol. Slide and barrel conversions allow the P320 to change between calibers and barrel lengths as well. The P320 will be immediately available in 9mm, .40S&W and .357SIG, with .45ACP coming later in 2014.
With a partially pretensioned striker, the P320 has a short, crisp trigger pull with a quick, pronounced reset right out-of-the-box. The P320 comes in two trigger variants: a standard trigger and a tabbed safety trigger for specific law enforcement clients. Featuring the SIG SAUER internal safety system, the P320 has no external safety or decocking lever to snag or hang up on the draw. A frame-mounted thumb safety version will be available for law enforcement needs. SIGLITE® night sights come standard, and the reversible magazine release makes the P320 completely ambidextrous.
Whatever the requirement, patrol duty, competition, time at the shooting range, or concealed carry, the P320 brings SIG SAUER legendary reliability, durability, and quality to the polymer-framed, striker-fired duty pistol.

The Manly Innovations MBX (Magazine Base Interchange System) is a baseplate replacement for magazines that functions as a quick attach/detach for select attachments. Initial attachments will include the ‘Manly Bayonet’, Glass Breaker/Seatbelt Cutter, and a Picatinny rail.
The proprietary ‘Manly Bayonet’ allows the user to deploy a blade in a low or no-ammo scenario without holstering the sidearm and reaching for a fixed blade. The bayonet appears to come with a dedicated Kydex sheath that mounts to PALS webbing, which allows the user to mount and detach the blade during drawn and holster.
MBXs will be available for magazines of the following models of pistols:
Beretta M9/M9A1/92FS
Glock: .40 models – 22/23/35
All single stack 1911s
There’s also a video (embedding disabled by request) of the Manly Bayonet in action. Enjoy!
Magpul started teasing us last year with an AK mag. Now, here they are.
The Magpul PMAG 30 AK MOE is a lightweight, 30-round polymer magazine for 7.62×39 Kalashnikov pattern rifles (AK-47, AKM, AKS, SIG556R and others.) It features a removable floorplate, constant curve geometry, and a high-reliability/low-friction follower for the affordable performance you expect from a MOE PMAG. Interestingly, they don’t feature metal locking lugs making a lot of folks skeptical at this stage. With my luck they’ll sell out while I’m at SHOT and OR.

In addition to the Ergonomic Modular Rail being unveiled at SHOT Show, ALG Defense will also be releasing a great accessory for it, the new Forged Sling Swivel (FSS). The FSS weighs in at roughly 0.5 ounces and is about half the weight of similar steel QD sling swivel assemblies. It is forged from 7075 T6 aluminum, which is the same aluminum and manufacturing process used to make mil-spec upper and lower receivers. This process allows the FSS to be very strong and can withstand pull forces of up to 800lbs. The body of the FSS is type 3 hardcoated for a durable finish, while the button is Black Nitride processed. Initially black will be the only color option with gray soon to follow. The FSS will retail at 32$!
Also debuting at SHOT is the Single Chamber Brake (SCB) which is a 5.56mm brake that is machined from 4140 chrome moly steel and is Black Nitride processed for wear and corrosion resistance. Most importantly the SCB will be retailing at $35!

AGL Defense will be introducing the Ergonomic Modular Rail (EMR) system at SHOT Show 2014. The EMR was developed as a lightweight, ergonomic, and modular option for all mil-spec AR-15 rifles.
The EMR forgoes M1913 rails and instead utilizes easy to install accessory rails that are 3D machined to fit the contour of the EMR. These rails can be secured at both the 45 and 90 degree quadrants, making them ideal for users that need to mount their sights, lights, or lasers at an offset angle. The rails are secured to the EMR via steel slide nuts that can be replaced if lost or damaged by cross threading. The EMR also features integrated quick disconnect (QD) swivel attachment points, further reducing the overall weight of the system.
The EMR is machined from aircraft grade aluminum. It is mounted to the upper receiver via a 2.25″ barrel nut also machined from aircraft grade aluminum and hard coat anodized for a durable surface. The EMR also includes a proprietary ALG EMR barrel nut wrench. The rail secures to the barrel nut via 6 mounting bolts which also allow for easy removal and reattachment.
The EMR will be available in 10″, 12″, and 13″ lengths. It will be initially introduced with Black anodizing, however Grey will also be an option.
Update: We received this info from ALG Defense. Because the EMR was designed to be a lightweight system, there are currently no plans to make available a continuous top rail. The Geissele SMR MK series of rails would be the best option for individuals that would like to add a DBAL, laser, or top mounted lights.
