AXTS Rebrands To Radian

Monday, November 7th, 2016

You might know AXTS from their charging handles. However, they not only make accessories, but full carbines as well.

Earlier today, they officially announced their name change to Radian. However, I want to be clear, there has been no change in corporate ownership, and no additional changes to their team.

In an effort to better align the brand with their ever-evolving products, AXTS Weapons Systems has launched their new name – Radian Weapons.

AXTS has gained popularity and acclaim with its ambidextrous Raptor charging handle, and with the recent release of its sub-MOA rifle, the MI-T556 (now called the Radian Model 1). The new name was designed to distinguish them as a leader in the production of high-end, evolved weapons systems.

“We are more than an accessories company, and Radian helps us tell that story,” said Radian Weapons’ CEO, Joshua Underwood. “Continuous innovation and a hard driving work ethic are the core values we live by and have been the foundation for AXTS Weapons Systems. Radian Weapons will continue to build on this foundation, ful?lling our passion to bring the best performing products to our customers. A relentless pursuit of perfection in product design and world class manufacturing will be the standard of Radian Weapons.”

To accompany the launch of the new brand, Radian released a teaser video to showcase its new style set to the tune of its original manufacturing process. They are also giving away a Radian Model 1 Ri?e paired with a Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44mm optic to celebrate the brand launch. Billy Cho Moves to AXTS to Head Up AK Department

Saturday, September 5th, 2015

At the end of August Billy Cho left Las Vegas-based Rifle Dynamics for the green hills of Oregon where he accepted a new position this month as the Director, AK Department for AXTS Weapon Systems. That’s right, AXTS is going to build AKs, and from what I hear, we will see the first of them before SHOT Show.

I spoke with Billy at The Blade Show (he’s a burgeoning bladesmith as well as talented gunsmith) and he told me that while he loved his time at RD, he was itching to try something different. But, he wasn’t ready to tell me exactly what he had in mind. Earlier this week, RD founder Jim Fuller bid Billy farewell and mentioned that they were very excited for Billy’s future. I have to say, I am as well. Billy is a great guy and the thought of him teaming up AXTS is awesome. That they are going to produce a new AK, is even better.

AXTS started out making weapon accessories and is well known for their Raptor Charging Handle for the AR family of weapons. Since then, they expanded to include full Carbines as well as upper receivers. Now, they are moving to completely new platforms and I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Congrats Billy Cho and the AXTS team!

AX556 Lower Demonstration

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Military Morons is a leftie and demonstrates the new AX556 lower from AXTS. A couple of unique things about the AX556. The mag release can also be used to lock the bolt to the rear. Additionally, it features a bolt release, magazine release, and safety selector on both sides of the lower.
