Grey Ghost Awarded ISO 9001 Certification

Thursday, June 7th, 2018

Lakewood, WA – Grey Ghost Precision, leading manufacturers of accurate, reliable, and attainable weapon systems, is excited to announce the their awarding of its ISO 9001 Certification; a global recognition of consistent excellence measured to international standards of quality.

The International Organization of Standardization (ISO), who owns the certification process, awarded GGP the certification for upholding the standards, which specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard set forth by the ISO to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirement.

“Our quality control process has always been a thorough one,” stated GGP CEO, Casey Ingels. “From initial concepts and drawings, through to final machining, there is no doubt about the final product that goes out the door. We partner with only the best in the industry, to ensure that every product that goes out the door is worthy of the GGP name.”

The awarding of the ISO 9001 certificate will also allow for GGP to more seamlessly work within the military communities, putting the right product in the hands of the warfighter. In many cases, the ISO Certification is required with government contracts, as it is a guarantee of certain criteria, qualifications, QAQC measures and procedural consistency established ahead of time.

This Certification comes after an arduous multi-stage audit and inspection process by an independent certifying authority (who independently must have been vetted by State and Federal levels from the International Accreditation Forum).

Manufacturer Redesigns Most Popular Rifle Models

E6F0D618-8122-4F1D-AF59-5DA1F7981A7F

Lakewood, WA – Grey Ghost Precision, leading manufacturers of accurate, reliable, and attainable weapon systems, is excited to announce the MKII versions of their most popular rifles, The GGP Heavy (.308 WIN), GGP Light (5.56 NATO) and the GRIM (6.5 Creedmoor).

Grey Ghost spends no time, wasted on production – partnering with only the best in the industry, to ensure that every product that goes out the door is worthy of it’s name, the team at GGP worked tirelessly to revise the previous models, guaranteeing the perfection that we know and expect.

The GGP Heavy (.308 WIN) is an extremely accurate semi-automatic rifle that fits the specific requests from sources operating in Afghanistan. The team at GGP coupled these demands with evaluations from Special Forces marksmanship instructors, competition shooters and avid hunters, and developed one of the most innovative and cutting-edge rifles in the in the DMR space.

Built with the GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet upper receiver and GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet ambi lower, the Heavy measures an overall length (with the extended GGP MKII Extended length (15″) M-LOK hand guard) of 38”, and a mere 35” when collapsed; and weighs in at 8.3lbs. It carries a 16″ .308WIN match grade BBL. 1×10 twist, 5/8-24 threaded muzzle with a GGP muzzle brake and Black Nitride coating in and out.

The GGP Light (5.56 NATO) is a real-world application rifle, which is as effective in home defense as it is on the battlefield. Designed to achieve a durable, reliable, affordable, accurate and attainable 5.56 rifle—all without compromising quality, the light is intended for hard use and everything that goes with it.

Built with a GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet upper with M4 feed ramps, and a GGP MKII 7075-T651 billet ambi lower, the GGP Light measures an overall length of 37” (stock extended), and 34” (collapsed); with an overall weight of 6.6lbs. Donned with a 16″ 5.56 BBL. 1×8 twist, 1/2-28 threaded muzzle with a GGP muzzle brake, and Black Nitride coating in and out.

The GGP MKII Grim (6.5 Creedmoor) came to light, after shooters began experiencing the accuracy potential of the Grey Ghost Precision catalog of rifles in other calibers. Several competitive shooters in the precision rifle circuit desired a gas gun that gave their beloved 6.5 Creedmoor round a platform, that maintained all the advantages of a modern semi-automatic sporting rifle – without compromising accuracy, consistency and performance. GGP worked to produce the GRIM, an exceedingly accurate 6.5 Creedmoor rifle that fit the specific requests of experienced snipers and PRS shooters looking for the ultimate tack driving instrument that would not only compete with other 6.5 Creedmoor rifles, but win.

“We decided that it was time to step away from the proprietary platform of the original GGP rifles, and remove all compromises; making the MKII versions much more user friendly and simplified,” stated Grey Ghost Precision, VP of Firearms, Jason Curns. “With the focus being that of a more simplistic, yet versatile design, the MKII versions are now lighter (almost a full pound less on each platform) and maintain tighter tolerances across the board.”

Curns, formerly at Mega Arms, was the lead designer in the GGP original platforms, is the brains behind the redesign; cutting everything down to its roots and building up again.

NRAAM 18 – GGP S-Heavy & Light Mk II

Friday, May 4th, 2018

Grey Ghost Precision has introduced the new Mk II versions of the S-Heavy and S-Light. Aside from bringing the manufacturing in-house, they’ve also introduced a more open architecture, allowing use of commercial parts. The orgiginal version of the rifle used a proprietary upper, lower and rail which only worked with one another. Now the upper and lower are DPMS style for the Heavy and Standard AR for the Light. Additionally, users aren’t stuck with just one rail system now.

Tuesday, December 19th, 2017

Lakewood, WA – Grey Ghost Precision, leading manufacturers of accurate, reliable, and attainable weapon systems, is excited to announce the release of the first aftermarket upgrade slide to the GLOCK43, the Grey Ghost Precision SPG43.

The team at Grey Ghost Precision started the design process with a billet blank of American made, certified 17-4PH Stainless Steel; chosen for its high levels of strength, hardness and corrosion resistance.

Additionally, the 17-4PH also maintains a level of machinability, which allows the engineers to hold critical tolerance to .003″; ensuring the reliability and accuracy loyal customers of all of Grey Ghost Precision’s products come to know and expect.

The team spends no time, wasted on production – partnering with only the best in the industry, receiving feedback on exactly what the end users are looking for in a concealed carry pistol.

“With the need now more than ever to rely on your carry pistol, the decision was obvious for us to develop an option for the G43,” stated GGP Vice President of Firearms, Jason Curns. “We take great pride in providing products that meet the demands of our customers, and are confident that the new SPG43’s look and functionality will more than exceed expectations.”

SPG43 SPECS:

GGP-XMAS-Post

Just caught wind of some sale offers from Grey Ghost Precision. They are slashing prices of their two iconic rifles: the Heavy .308 and the Grim 6.5 Creedmoor. Having shot both of these platforms, they are absolutely badass instruments of violence… and that’s an unpaid opinion. GGP is also giving away a free lower receiver if you buy two ($120 a pop), or a free complete upper when you purchase a Light 5.56 or Dark 300blk 16″ rifle. Their uppers go for over a grand, so getting a free one in your choice of length is actually a pretty sweet deal (NFA rules apply if you plan on getting a 10.5 upper.)

On top of all that, the shipping is free too. Looks like the sale ends on Dec 11th. More info at www.greyghostprecision.com
