ITW Military Products Expands Web Site

Monday, June 14th, 2010

ITW Military Products just unveiled their newly expanded web presence. Once you begin exploring, you will have no doubt that they are more than just buckles and feature innovative products such as the popular Tac Link, Grimloc, and FASTMAG. But they also offer several new products not seen by most of our readers such as the Total Lifter/Litter and MAGBOOT. It is really worth your while to check it all out.

Also, be sure to look out for ITW Military Products representatives at this week’s Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, Florida and Eurostatory in Paris, France. At SOFIC the entire line of ITW Military Products are on display in booth 1108, Supply Captain.

FASTRIG 10-4 from CP Gear

CP Gear has introduced the Split Front FASTRIG 10-4. It is the first piece of load bearing equipment designed around the Gen III FASTMag from ITW Military Products.

FASTRIG 10-4 from CP Gear - Interior

The FASTRIG 10-4 accommodates up to 8 FASTMAGs internally (4 on each side), however the rig can be setup with as little as 2 FASTMAGs (1 per side and included). As you can see from the photo, these two are needed to suspend the weight of the rig. This leaves the exterior clean for modular pouches(3 rows of 10 channel PALS/MOLLE compatible webbing per side). There is also an interior pocket on each side for stowing maps, documents, chem lights, etc.

Available in a variety of color schemes. To order visit www.CPgear.com.

New from ITW Military Products

Magboot

ITW Military Products Magboot

The new Magboot is a “Ghilletex IR Reduction Magazine Cover” but that name still doesn’t talk about all of the benefits it will provide you. In addition to reducing the signature of your metal magazines, the Magboot will also reduce noise, protect the magazine from damage, and give you solid purchase during magazine changes. Available in Black, Foliage, and Tan with Coyote coming soon.

Camo Dipped FastMag

ITW FastMag dipped in camo

ITW Military Products will be offering the Gen 3 FastMag in camouflage patterns directly out of the box. While they will come at a slightly higher premium, they will still be less expensive in time and money than undertaking the process yourself. MultiCam and digital camo patterns will be offered.

Gen 4 FastMag

While no prototypes were available for photographs ITW is on the cusp of releasing a new FastMag variant for 7.62 NATO magazines. The design is almost indistinguishable from the current Gen 3 version.

TAC Link

The ever popular TAC Link is now available in even more colors including Red and Pink. The latter proved extremely popular with my daughters as well as my distinguished colleague Rob.

More information will be forthcoming from ITWmilitaryproducts.com and all of the items listed will be available from Supply Captain.

ITW TAC Link Supports 200 lbs

ITW Military Products has just released the TAC Link. Designed as a low cost alternative to snap links that see duty for such administrative tasks as attaching slings and gloves as well as other non-life support functions, the Ghillie Tex Tactical Link is non-infrared reflective and like all ITW products, color matched to your equipment.

ITW TAC Link Gate Detail

The spring-loaded gate closes with a solid tongue and groove joint. This helps to ensure that the gate doesn’t break under constant use. The TAC Link supports up to 200 lbs but is NOT intended as a life support item and should never be used for climbing.

ITW TAC Link Color Assortment

Available in Coyote, Foliage Green, Black, and Orange, they are currently in-stock at Supply Captain. Our only advice is that you need to buy a handful. We brought samples home from SOFIC and they immediately disappeared and began to show up on packs and as key rings. They are like Grimlocs, once you start using them, you come up with more and more uses and you can never have enough of them around.

UPDATE: The TAC Link will also be available as a commercial product as the Polymer Attachment Link or PAL. Additionally, another color was approved today; Red.
