Mission Spec has recently introduced several new color and pattern options for the Mission Spec Two Point Sling (M2P)™, originally released in 2012. This Labor Day, between Friday, August 31st and Tuesday, September 4th, the sale price will be reduced to $39.99 which includes the sling and mounting tethers. Users can also attach their own mounting hardware of choice (ie: Push Button QD Swivels) if desired to the M2P™.
Mission Spec, LLC has recently obtained the rights to the Sherpa Scorpion Evo III Mag Pouch from Fight and Flight Tactical and will be producing it exclusively for Yeti Wurks.
The Sherpa is a four mag carry solution made specifically for the thicker magazines used by the CZ Scorpion Evo III. The pouch comes standard with both bungee and flap-over-mag Velcro retention options. It can be attached to a plate carrier via the included MALICE clips or worn as a standalone piece of gear in a bandoleer style (strap included and removable).
The Sherpa is 100% manufactured in the United States with US sourced components and is Berry Compliant. Black and Coyote are available at the time of this writing. As production ramps up, other colors/patterns will include MultiCam, Ranger Green, and Kryptek Typhon.
Some reports/reviews indicated that the original Sherpa mag pouch was too tight when inserting the magazine. Mission Spec has slightly edited the design to include more tolerance in the pouch area.
As we move into Shot Show 2018, Mission Spec is releasing four new nylon products – available immediately.
The MagRack5™ chest rig supports three 5.56mm magazines and two laser-cut PALS wings for attaching other essential items such as pistol ammunition, radio, or IFAK. Magazines are bungee retained. Magazine pouches are fully compatible with Haley Strategic MP2 Mag Pouch Inserts. The MagRack5 also comes equipped with two tourniquet holders and a loop Velcro field for identification. The unit can be used as a stand-alone piece of gear with the aid of the RackStraps™ (either Standard or Enhanced model) or can be integrated into a plate carrier such as the Mission Spec EC2™ or AC2™. The top horizontal GTSR buckles can be moved between the 90-degree and 45-degree positions for better integration options between plate carriers and RackStraps, respectively. Dual 550 cord loops hang under each outer magazine pouch for chem-light storage. A 7.62mm version (MagRack7™) is scheduled for release later in 2018.
The RackStraps™ integrate with the MagRack5 or other industry standard chest rigs. The Standard model offers a low profile and less expensive option while the Enhanced model gives the user the added benefit of closed-cell foam padding and airmesh to reduce shoulder fatigue.
The Armor Carrier 2 (AC2)™ is an even lighter weight version (~22.8 ounces) of the Mission Spec Essentials Carrier 2 (EC2)™. Removing the standard PALS grid and replacing it with loop Velcro makes the AC2 a great plate carrier choice to integrate with a chest rig (such as the MagRack5 or other industry standard rigs). All other features are identical to the Mission Spec EC2. The AC2 is fully compatible with other Mission Spec accessories such as the ShoulderSavers™ mk3 and FlankSavers™.
All four items are available in a large variety of solid colors and camouflage patterns. All Mission Spec items are 100% designed, tested, and manufactured in the United States with US-sourced components and are Berry Compliant.
Mission Spec has released their second generation of the Essentials Plate Carrier as the Essentials Carrier 2 (EC2). This new version shares the ultra-light profile of its predecessor, the EOC. Weighing in at only 24.9 ounces and constructed from 1000D CORDURA (500D for MultiCam; Black, Arid, Tropic).
All of the great features of the EOC carry over to the new model. Abilities such as the independent height adjustment of the rear plate bag. A full uninterrupted PALS grid. Moisture wicking spacer mesh against the user’s body.
The list of updates includes; native support for industry standard chest rigs, dual tourniquet holders, dual pen/chem-light storage, cable and hydration routing options, rear light-pack hangers, and simulated PALS sewn into the new semi-elastic side straps for improved MOLLE pouch support.
The EC2 is fully compatible with other Mission Spec products such as the FlankSavers, ShoulderSavers (all versions), and other future products. Inserted armor (not included) is always kept at the highest possible position inside of the plate bags due to the EC2’s armor suspension system. Just like the EOC, all armor weight bypasses the CORDURA layer and is loaded directly onto the internal webbing structure.
The ShoulderSavers have also received improvements with the mk3 version and are available alongside the EC2. Improved cable and hydration management along with other tweaks make the ShoulderSavers much more useful to the user. The ShoulderSavers mk3 can be used with many other plate carriers as long as the shoulder straps are equal to or less than 2” in width.
Both items are available in the entire line of standard colors and patterns offered by Mission Spec. Custom colors and patterns along with other customizations are possible on a case by case basis. Contact Mission Spec if these services are needed. The EC2 and ShoulderSavers mk3 are 100% designed, tested, and manufactured in the United States with US sourced components and are Berry Compliant.

Original RTCA1319 product: 13×19”, 70# stock. Fundamentals training target.
Mission Spec has made available their new Reference Target Chart – A (RTCA). The A model is the first to be released in the RTC line.
About the target
The RTCA is currently available in a 13×19” configuration on 70# stock. Each 100-target pad is glue-bound on the top edge for easy management at the range. Targets are delivered unfolded and roll-free in a reusable storage box with Velcro closure. This product is printed in the United States on US-sourced paper. Each sheet features a total of 18 individual targets (12 bisected 3” target circles and 6 bisected 1” target circles). A faint 1″ grid covers the entire target area for easy reference.
Intent of the target
The RTCA was designed as a fundamentals target. By using relatively small targets the user is encouraged to shoot as accurately as possible. After the desired accuracy is achieved, the shooter can increase distance or speed to surpass their failure point. It is the duty of all who carry a firearm (civilian or law enforcement) to ensure the highest level of accuracy as every missed shot represents a supersonic liability.
By bisecting each circle target into two halves the shooter is confronted with an amount of asymmetry in an otherwise symmetrical target. Further difficulty can be achieved by only striking a desired half of each circle.
Instructors will find use for the RTCA in their classroom by being able to call an individual target circle for students to engage as well as a certain portion of the target. With half of the 3” targets being numbered and half being lettered the instructor can also introduce a small amount of mental processing for the students by declaring all numbered targets as grey area targets and all lettered targets as black area targets.
Mission Spec, LLC has released the Rigit Kit in two new flavors. Ranger Green and MultiCam have been added to the already available Black and Coyote lineup.
If you are unaware of the Rigit Kit it acts as an interface between a standard PALS grid and virtually any chest rig or panel that utilizes industry standard buckles for vertical attachment (ITW GTSR and DuraFlex Mojave patterned buckles). Additionally, adding a stable loop base to nearly eliminate all movement of the attached piece provided your rig of choice possesses a hook Velcro backing.
