Oakley wearers have been asking for MultiCam models for awhile now and Oakley has obliged. Look for several of the most popular models in MultiCam.

In addition to MultiCam models they’ve also introduced Cerakote editions.

Additionally, you’ll see new boots. The SI-6 and SI-8 tactical boots share styling and differ by the height of teh upper. These assault boots feature a smooth toe and with fully tightened laces evoke the styling of the old GSG-9 but with a significant makeover in materials and construction. The upper is synthetic that features Hydrofuse construction. Look for sizing from 6-13 and then on out to 17 in full sizes. Offered in Black, Coyote and Desert Tan.

And now, they’ve introduced something completely new. The SI Belt is a Coyote Brown 1-3/4″ loop compatible belt available in S, M and L sizes that features the Raptor buckle.

Oakley Airwave – GPS Enabled Goggle

Friday, November 2nd, 2012

20121101-201940.jpg

The Oakley Airwave goggle was designed for the snowsports market. It integrates GPS, Bluetooth into a heads up display equipped goggle. Maps, temperature, jump analytics, speed, playlists and even the location of your friends are all accessible via an embedded screen that appears as if you are 5′ away from a 14″ monitor.

I’d expect to see these on Rob Curtis soon.

SI Flak Jacket XLJ Transition SOLFX

Monday, March 19th, 2012

Oakley has finally released the SI version of their transition lens technology. The new SI Flak Jacket XLJ Transition SOLFX offers Oakley’s Transitions® SOLFX™ lenses. As sunlight brightens, the lenses darken to keep up. When sunlight is scarce, the lens color gets much lighter but never goes away completely in order to offer depth perception. The lens filters out 100% of all UV, and the Flak Jacket meets ANSI Z87.1 standards for impact protection. Additionally, the Flak Jacket offers a customized fit via two optional nose pieces.

Available through usstandardissue.com.

Oakley is introducing the M-frame 3.0 which features ultra low profile temples to accommodate hearing protection and improved low profile nose piece as well as an enhanced coating for anti-fog and increased scratch resistance.

Additionally, they have a new Ballistic 2.0 goggle which offers increased lower and side peripheral vision and facilitates a reduced stand off for night vision systems. The straps are also easily removed thanks to a new fastener. The lens features the same new coatings as the M-frame 3.0 along with increased venting to help mitigate fogging.

Look for these new styles in December.
