Maker Monday – S&S Precision Weapon Light Mounts Now Available Complete With SureFire Components

For years, S&S Precision’s weapon light mounts have been highly sought after. Users have taken their existing SureFire weapon light heads and tailcaps to assemble customized solutions. Now, thanks to a new strategic alliance, SureFire components for these mounts are available directly from S&S Precision, offering turnkey solutions.

It’s an integrated solution combining S&S Precision weapon light mounts with the advanced illuminating capabilities of SureFire.

This strategic alliance between S&S Precision and SureFire leverages both companies’ strengths for complete systems integration.

The newly redesigned IFM Rigid and IFM CAM flashlight mounts incorporate battery cases which accept SureFire heads and tailcaps. In addition to be being offered as stand alone mounts for those that already have the necessary components to create complete lights, they can also be purchased as a complete system to include the following SureFire components: Dual-output vampire conversion head (providing both white light and infrared output without the need for an IR filter) and SureFire Defender tail cap.

Maker Monday – S&S Precision Cummberbund Adapter

The Cummerbund Adapter is a modular attachment platform for use with S&S Precision’s minimalist PlateFrame. Designed for reinforced strength and modularity, it attaches via simple buckles for reliability.

The cummerbund’s inner webbing provides additional space for PALS/Webbing accessories. Finally, it’s made from a water resistant material for use in maritime or other high moisture environments.

Available in Toadvine, Black or Tan.

Maker Monday – S&S Precision’s GRT Adapter

The new GRT Adapter allows most pouches to be used with the SSP Gear Retention Track. Additionally, the mounting plate can accept most pistol magazine pouches for use as a double pistol magazine pouch. One application that I really like is that the GRT mounting plate is compatible with Safariland’s single injection molded pistol magazine pouch. I really like it. Naturally, it works with virtually any other soft pistol/rifle mag pouch as well.

Maker Monday – Trifecta Connecta

S&S Precision refers to the Trifecta Connecta as the “Gateway to Modularity” and for holsters, it certainly is. It’s their solution for adapting their new Gear Retention Track (GRT) to a variety of holsters. GRT versions are PALS as well as belt compatible. The Trifecta Connecta’s hole pattern makes it compatible with Safariland, Blackhawk! and G-Code holsters, as well as S&S Precision’s own Grenade Launcher Holster. With the included spacers and screw kit, you will be able to get the standoff you need.

By adding the Trifecta Connecta to the Grenade Launcher Holster they have been able to reduce the cost while making the product more adaptable for mounting to a variety of platforms.

Maker Monday – WeaponLink from S&S Precision

So far in this series we’ve seen several new items from S&S Precision. They’ve also updated exiting products but the one that has received the biggest makeover is the WeaponLink. The application remains the same. It’s optimized for keeping your weapon out of the way for hands free work such as climbing, swimming or detaining personnel.

Interestingly enough, this is a bit of a “back to the future” moment as early iterations of the WeaponLink were closer to this style. It still consists of two components but the new version of the WeaponLink has been consolidated into a modular design eliminating the old, type-specific variations (MOLLE or Belt) utilizing third-party components and now attaches utilizing the SSP Gear Retention Track (GRT).

Maker Monday – S&S Precision’s Holster Extender

S&S Precision has been working product development hard this year. One of the many items they have updated is the Holster Extender which was originally developed for a government customer to allow them to instantly transition their holsters from belt to extended, leg carry.

First off, the Holster Extender has been updated to fit the new Gear Retention Track (GRT). This allows the holster to be easily attached or removed from different loadouts utilizing any GRT platform. Next, this new design has reduced the weight by 30% and resulted in a much smoother operation. Additionally, its newly designed hole pattern makes the Holster Extender compatible with Safariland, Blackhawk and G-Code holsters. With the included GRT-Belt spacer and screw kit you will be able to get the standoff you need to make your preferred holster function properly. With a push of a button the Holster Extender gives the shooter three set drop positions to set their holster (0″, 1.5″, 3″) in order to ensure proper holster draw clearance when wearing bulky clothing and gear.
