Friday, March 28th, 2014

March 26, 2014 – Vertx® is pleased to announce the sponsorship and addition of current World Series of Fighting Welterweight champion, Steve Carl, to their distinctive Pro Staff.

Carl has established himself as one of the world’s best Welterweights by posting an impressive 21-3 professional MMA record. Coming off 7 straight submission victories, Steve Carl is set to defend his title against Rouismar Palhares on March 29th at WSOF 9. The fight will be televised live on NBCSN.

Carl, known for his prowess inside the cage, is a former Army Sergeant who served two tours during his time in the military. He often credits his military background for the mental fortitude and strength necessary to become champion. His veteran status in addition to successes inside and outside MMA is what led him to be a natural fit for Vertx.

Vertx Director of Marketing, Ginger Rohlfs, feels Carl is a great addition stating, “Steve Carl is in many ways the proverbial good guy and he is a reflection of the Vertx brand. He’s been the underdog only to rise to the occasion and let his actions deliver results. We’re fortunate to have him on our team.”

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native had this to say about the partnership — “I’m honored to be supported by a company that I can really get behind like Vertx. They are known for having some of the best tactical gear around, and being a nature lover, I can’t wait to proudly wear Vertx in the cage and out in the field. I’m excited to be a part of such a great company.”

Monday, February 24th, 2014

Cincinnati, Ohio – Vertx is proud to announce a partnership with Dakota Meyer to develop a co-branded line of apparel in support of For Those Who Gave All. (www.ftwga.com) FTWGA is the brainchild of Meyer, the first living Marine in three decades to receive the Medal of Honor. Vertx Managing Director Joe Yorio commented: “We are both honored and humbled to be collaborating with US Marine veteran and Medal Of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer to launch a cobranded line of apparel endorsing For Those Who Gave All. Our sister brand Flying Cross currently produces several uniforms for our military, as well as numerous government agencies and many law enforcement departments.” Yorio goes on to add, “A major contributing factor to this overall partnership was that Dakota was not just attaching his name to this endeavor; he wanted to be heavily involved in product development, marketing and sales and is committed to the success of FTWGA. This hands-on style is very complimentary with our vision for the expansion of the Vertx brand and the engagement of our Pro Staff to contribute to our overall product design and wear testing. We look forward to a successful partnership and are privileged to be an advocate for the For Those Who Gave All brand.” The first launch of products is available for pre-order with future collaborative designs in the works. Vertx to Incorporate Fighter Designs’ Airflow Technology

Thursday, January 9th, 2014

Congrats to Adam Slank and the whole crew at Fighter Designs. You may recognize the name from their “Magnetic Velcro.” We have had some interesting conversations about the development of the Airflow Technology. Some of you make trousers made by Fighter Designs but I am looking forward to seeing how the technology works with the Vertx aPhantom pant.

(Cincinnati, OH 08 JAN 14) Vertx Apparel, the tactical brand and innovation design arm of Fechheimer Brothers, is proud to announce they have signed a licensing agreement with Fighter Design of Austin, TX. This new partnership will allow Vertx to incorporate Fighter Design’s proprietary Airflow Technology into new models of the world’s best tactical pant.

“Fighter Design’s ‘Airflow Tech’ has been on my radar for a while now,” says Vertx Director of Sales Darrell Morrow. “As an apparel feature there’s nothing else like it. It’s proven to keep you cool. Adding it as a feature option to Vertx tactical pants is frankly just an awesome evolution.”

Fighter Design’s Airflow Technology has already garnered well-deserved attention for shooters, athletes and operators who must work in high temperatures. It’s an aggressive, well designed system that utilizes extremely tough mesh material in strategic locations like the inseam of the pant legs and cargo pocket interiors to create a cooling flow of air into the pants.

“We’re very excited to be working with Vertx on this,” says Fighter Design’s Adam Slank. “They’re an amazing company and we’re all big fans of the Vertx brand. Of all the brands in the market, we really wanted to work with Vertx. People just need to try the new pants in order to feel the airflow for themselves. Some things need to be experienced.”

Though the partnership is a young one, an initial project will be debuted at the NSSF SHOT Show, Booth #126. This will take the form of a limited run of ‘Phantom Ops Powered by Airflow.’ Note that a small number of these pants will be available for preorder at the Vertx booth and on line—and doing so may very well guarantee participation in some otherwise invite-only after-business-hours Vertx SHOT Show events.
