NTOA – Renegade Armor

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Renegade Armor is aptly named. Unlike other companies that concentrate on nylon armor carriers, Renegade prefers to be nylon agnostic. Rather than push a line of carriers, they work with the customer to identify requirements and offer a solution based on threats, duty, and resources.

Armed with this data, Renegade Armor can recommend an armor insert and carrier combination to the client.

TEAM X.T.R.E.M.E. and their various activities to raise awareness of our Wounded Warriors as well as funds to aid in their rehabilitation. Think of them a make-a-wish for vets. They are definitely worthy of our support. Help them as they take 5 Wounded Warriors to Everest in Spring 2013.

NTOA – Aimpoint PRO

Restricted to Military, Gov’t, and LE only, the Aimpoint PRO features a COMP body and offers a 2 MOA dot as well as a NVG compatible lens. Additionally, the PRO comes with a mount with a removable shim to accommodate a variety of weapons. Ingeniously, Aimpoint also includes a sticker to record battery data.

This is a terrific balance of features and price and is, in my opinion, Aimpoint’s greatest value.

LE, Mil, and Gov’t customers contact Joe Strohman.

NTOA – Garmin

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Garmin’s GTU 110 is a tracking unit. Think of it as a tag. Boasting up to four weeks of battery life and up to seven days of location information, the unit can be immediately queried by phone or computer.

At this point the only limitation of the GTU 10 is that coverage is only available within the US and Canada. This still makes it great for tracking assets or investigative work. In fact, since you can check the data via the Internet, it’s a great way to keep track of a sketchy spouse while deployed.

As always, our favorite place to purchase Garmin is Strohman Enterprise.
