I harassed the guys saying it had finally emerged from development hell but they corrected me and reminded me that they just wanted to get it right. And right I’d say it is. For starters, it boasts 1200 cu in of Mystery Ranch load carriage awesomeness. it also has that super cool 2-zip access and is great for fighting out of your buddy’s pack.

The Spartan also incorporates the Spadelock as well as Propel’s QuietLoop.

Call, email, telegraph, send smoke signals. No matter what you do get in on this. Available now from www.MysteryRanch.com. But I’ll warn you, it’s so new that it isn’t even on the site yet.

Raine Inc is expanding their product line to include tactical nylon. For example, this Modular Plate Carrier. It is a lightweight, scalable design.

The plate bags are available in Small/Medium and Large/XLarge. The cummerbund is attached in front via ITW G hooks and in the rear via T-handles which fit in between the PALS webbing making it easily replaced for size, reconfiguration or maintenance.

The plate bags are top loaders with a zippered closure and a rain flap. Height adjustment is at the rear of the bag.

Raine’s focus remains offering great gear at an affordable price. I’m quite pleased to see them evolve into new designs.

Maneuver Conference – Drift Dry USA

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

Drift Dry USA finds its roots in the SCUBA industry and has taken their history in maritime technologies to integrate flotation into combat gear. Now, they’ve taken their experience with stabilizing SCUBA loads in the back to develop a new ALICE-style frame system.

20120918-141049.jpg

They’ve integrated TIG welding technologies from NASCAR and aviation industries. They’ve made a frame that is stronger and lighter, initially with still and now with aluminum. Additionally, Drift Dry has eliminated those pesky rivets and other unnecessary components that are the week points of the frame.

You may also notice the padded captive suspension system. It integrates load lifters at the shoulders and the waist belt is precurved to fit the hips.

20120918-141934.jpg

They’ve also introduced a pack bag for the frame with an internal, adjustable radio pouch as well as dual internal hydration sleeves with unique external drain holes. The Mission Patrol pack also incorporates A removable rain cover.

Dry Drift USA products are available from Source One Distributors.

Maneuver Conference – McRees Precision

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

20120918-115937.jpg

McRees Precision offers an Aluminum chassis for the Remington 700 action. This model is in .308 and incorporates a Krieger barrel built specifically for McRees. Although they advertise this setup for shots out to 1200m with the M118LR, they have recorded hits at over 1400m in combat.

As you can see the G5 TMAG chassis changes the overall silhouette of the weapon so that the shooter blends in with M4 equipped personnel. Not only does the collapsible stock allow for quick length of pull adjustment, but it can also be rotated out of the way to the side.

In addition to the chassis you see here, McRees also produces a wide variety of precision marksmanship equipment as well as complete rifles.

Maneuver Conference – Trigger Point Technology

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

Trigger Point Technologies’ new Tactical Rail Accessory Management System streamlines your rifle and pistol by integrating accessory control via a common trigger finger switch.

20120918-112039.jpg

Available in Basic and Advanced models, TRAMS eliminates all of the various pressure switches that you traditionally mount to your weapon. The basic model relies on an ambidextrous button switch mounted to the mag well. The Advanced model moves control directly to the trigger. Additionally, TRAMS offers a thumb wheel which is used with both models to switch control between the various devices and functions.

TRAMS also offers cord control via proprietary Shepard clips.
