Darley GRF Expo – Inforce

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

20130321-151133.jpg

Inforce has introduced a new reflector for their handheld light models 9VX and 6VX. Offering increased on axis illumination, these new reflectors offer more light on target. If you look at the business end of these new models compared to those with TIR reflectors, you can see a difference in appearance. The new Inforce reflectors are deeper. And when you watch a demonstration you can definitely see a difference in performance.

I watched a demo with older and newer model lights at 200 lumens. Same lights, same lumens, same batteries, different reflectors. That is at 5 feet. At 50 The difference was amazing.

MMI Outdoor displayed their MAG Pack for use with the M240 machine gun. It comes mounted to a Granite Gear Chief Flatbed frame and is comprised of multiple components designed for use with the gun.

In this configuration there are 6 each 100 round ammo trays for belted 7.62 as well as a spare barrel quiver. Quivers are offered for the Bravo Model as well as the shorter Lime Model barrel.

The trays are made from glass filled nylon for durability and use a PALS attachment to attach to the pack.

Once the tray runs dry the new belt moves smoothly over the open flap.

The spare barrel quiver will withstand up to 1800 degrees. Additionally, you can attach your tools via PALS to the inside of the quiver for ready access and transport.

Darley GRF Expo – Shakespeare

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

Several airborne units have been jumping OE-254 antenna systems. While they are great for ensuring that the Assault CP can talk to subordinate units once on the ground, they are bulky, heavy and put the jumper at additional risk for accidents both exiting the aircraft and under canopy.

20130321-131556.jpg

Shakespeare Military Antenna Products has an interesting mast solution that can be used by any and all. In fact, I wish I had the RolaTube when I was in the service. It is a quick deployable, lightweight mast system that uses flat fiberglass product and ducts it into a round shape for strength. It can be used for antennas, cameras, altimeters, anemometers, etc. the round shape is maintained by the use of spigots which cap the ends of the RolaTube mast and also accommodate guy lines and ground pegs. Additionally, the masts can be strengthened by doubling the material meaning they can be used for other applications as well such as ladders and litter poles.

This 5m system was set up by one man in about three minutes. This is due to the simplicity of the design and its light weight (6 lbs). The RolaTube is available in 2, 3, 5, and 8 meter lengths in MultiCam, Black, Olive Green, and Desert Sand colors.

Darley GRF Expo – Rite Rescue

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

Rite Rescue was founded by three New City Firefighters and offers the coolest litter system I’ve seen in years. In fact, calling it a litter system would be under describing what it does. This modular system integrates two systems in one. The harness can be swapped between a hard plastic sled-type stretcher (Tactical) or a soft stretcher (Assault).

20130321-125914.jpg

Additionally, the RAP (Remove and Protect) can instantly be hoisted thanks to the harness system as integrates an inflation system that immobilizes the patent’s head, neck and spine. These stretchers are currently the only ones on the market that are UL tested to the NFPA 1983 standards.
