Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler

Tuesday, February 12th, 2013

This photo was taken during this week’s Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans. It’s amazing how versatile the Team Wendy Exfil Bump Helmet’s T-Slots are. While some might question the use of a bump helmet as party wear, I beg to differ. I’d say this is a pretty good choice. Not only does it carry your drinks but it will also protect your noggin in the event of some street mayhem or you hit the falling down drunk stage.

High Ground Ring Sling Videos

Tuesday, February 12th, 2013

When High Ground Gear and Phokus Research Group teamed up to unveil the Ring Sling at SHOT Show, several readers criticized the design without even seeing how it works. Between these two videos I’d say that you’ll get a good idea of what’s going on.

SEAL Commemorative Art Auction Results

Tuesday, February 12th, 2013

We received this report about the auction of the one-of-a-kind art created by artist Ellwood T. Risk from a target shot 79 times (once for each fallen NSW member since 9-11) on 9-11 of last year by my friend, SOCS Dave Hall, USN, Ret.

Master WW Plate Final

The art was auctioned for $17,500 last Saturday. It was a huge success with the Gold Star families, widows and children of our fallen, as well. They loved it and loved to touch the bullet hole that was shot for their loved one. We will be moving into the print sales phase shortly.

We’ll keep you posted.

TYR Tactical XFrame Dynamic Load Carriage

Tuesday, February 12th, 2013

Xframe_Brokos_Movement_2

Using a hybrid composite of Polyethylene, Nylon and Carbon Fiber Stays, XFrame Dynamic Load Carriage moves with the body. According to TYR, it utilizes the active hip to create a cross sectional load to the opposing muscular structure. This allows for dynamic movement of the body (twisting, turning, bending, and rotational movement of the hips). The XFrame stays free-float within cross channels in the carrier and have secure limiter straps that can be adjusted for maximum range of movement.

The XFrame Dynamic Load Carriage is compatible with all carriers in the PICO family.
