Asymmetric Technologies – Advanced Shoulder Pocket (ASP)

Tuesday, August 19th, 2014

Asymmetric Technologies’ Advanced Shoulder Pocket (ASP) is designed as a fully integrated, lightweight, wearable individual rifleman weapon stabilization system. The ASP system consists of two components: a buttstock pad, and a modular attachment that fits onto the shoulder strap of a chest rig or vest. Rare earth magnets in the dual components allow them to quickly mate up, seating the weapon in the same position every time. This also reportedly reduces the felt weight of the weapon.

Asymmetric Technologies currently has no set date for commercial release, although they do have ASP prototypes available for testing and evaluation.

Tuesday, August 19th, 2014

In this rather lengthy review of the German military’s issue 24-hour ration, the EinmannPackung or EPa, KiwiDude butchers the German language but has a pretty good time going through the various components. I’ve had EPas over the years and I can say that they make for a great break from the standard MRE lineup.

Check out his other videos. He looks at some very cool international combat rations.
