KRISS Group To Release Licensed War Sport LVOA Rifles Through KRYTAC

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

If you’re wondering why we’re posting news about airsoft rifles on SSD, it’s because this presents a scenario where a gun company is preemptively licensing their designs for airsoft rather than let others copy them. It’s a smart move.

KRISS Group SA officially entered into a trademark licensing agreement with War Sport Industries, LLC to produce the LVOA rifles, in .22 LR and 6mm, through its training and recreational shooting products brand, KRYTAC.

October 7, 2014 – Nyon, Switzerland – KRISS Group has entered into a worldwide license agreement with War Sport Industries, LLC to manufacture and distribute .22 LR and electric airsoft LVOA rifles under KRISS Group’s KRYTAC brand.

The agreement between KRISS Group and War Sport Industries represents an important step forward for KRYTAC to produce affordable training solutions based on innovative firearm products. The LVOA’s advanced design compliments the KRYTAC rifle product line with its unique silhouette and reputation for excellence.

“War Sport Industries is very excited to be partnering with KRISS Group SA in the LVOAtm trademark licensing agreement for the KRYTACtm and .22 LR product lines. The partnership brings two very innovative and “out of the box” manufacturers together to offer both training and recreational shooting products known as KRYTAC,” said Joey Boswell, CEO of War Sport Industries, LLC.

The KRYTAC LVOA .22 LR is intended to become the affordable shooting alternative for the range day enthusiast and tactical trainer by replicating the form and function of the 5.56mm LVOA rifles. The KRYTAC LVOA AEG (Airsoft Electric Gun) will provide shooters with a low impact, non-lethal training solution and replicate many of the same features of the War Sport LVOA rifles. It will be powered by the KRYTAC Nautilus 8mm Reinforced Gearbox.

The KRYTAC LVOA .22 LR and AEG are targeted for 2015. Release dates and pricing will be announced at the 2015 Shot Show Exhibition in Las Vegas, USA.

Rifle Dynamics/Emerson Knives Super CQC7

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

Like so many of us, Rifle Dynamics‘ Jim Fuller relies multiple times a day on his knife as his most basic tool. He related a story on Facebook that he came to use an Emerson Knives CQC7 and how the collaboration came to be.

IMG_7980.JPG

Years ago I picked up an Emerson CQC-7 and found it to be a very useful knife. Sometime later Emerson came out with the Super CQC-7, same knife just bigger. It’s the perfect knife for my EDC. I have been carrying this model daily for about 10 years.

Somehow the folks at Emerson heard that I was using the CQC-7 so Kane Tierney contacted us about doing a co-branded version of the knife and we were very happy to do it.

The results are this beautiful CQC-7 with the Rifle Dynamics Warrior Angel logo on one side of the blade and Emerson’s logo on the other side. Additionally the Silver Gray G-10 grip panels were Cerakoted by Ernie Emerson himself. This is a limited edition knife, only 20 will be available so don’t delay as these will sell out fast.

He also states that these are not on their web store as they will go fast, to order send an email to info@rifledynamics.com with “CQC7” in the subject line along with your contact info. They are in stock and ready to ship price is 325.00. Don’t miss out on this one time offer!

Velocity Systems – SCARAB Light Plate Carrier

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

SCARAB Front

The SCARAB Light is a newly released plate carrier from Velocity Systems. According to Velocity Systems, the SCARAB Light was designed to meet unique user needs and solve industry-wide armor carrier issues. It features a color matching Velcro loop Admin Panel on the upper chest, a front kangaroo pouch, and integrated SwiftClip buckles for rapid don/doff of auxiliary chest worn equipment.

SCARAB Shoulder

The shoulder straps are designed to alleviate common fit issues seen with traditional sewn fixed angle shoulder straps. They are made from ULTRAcomp, with an articulate D-ring which allows them to swivel to sit correctly and comfortably on any user. I’ve used a developmental version of the vest and I can attest to the design. The straps are adjustable for length and have a padded sleeve, which can also be used to route cables.

SCARAB Armor

The SCARAB Light is initially configured for standard front flap opening. It can also be set up by the user for dual or single quarter flap opening. The flaps can be easily and quickly reconfigured if one style of opening works better for a particular mission.

SCARAB Rear

The upper back features color matching Velcro loop for identification. The rear is also equipped to accept Zip-On Back Panels of various configurations.

Currently available in Coyote Brown and Multicam; Black and Ranger Green will soon follow. Made in the USA.

MMI Textiles And Hyde Definition Create A Partnership For Production And Distribution Of The PenCott™ Brand Of Camouflage For Domestic And International Military And Commercial Markets

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

The PenCott™ inventory will initially consist of the BadLands™, GreenZone™, SandStorm™ and SnowDrift™ patterns on 500D Cordura, Nylon-Cotton Ripstop, and 50D Polyester fabrics – all printed and finished to meet US milspec nIR standards. Future production will also expand to include Asia for delivery to our customers who manufacture their end products in the Far East. Additional fabric and fabric-based substrates will be added to the portfolio as well – some of which will also leverage new printing technologies.

PenCott family 500D Cordura

Increased availability of PenCott™ patterns, with commitment from the MMI Team

MMI has always had a strong commitment to the US armed forces, and many of our international customers also seek quality products that have been manufactured to US standards. We have over 30 years of experience in the military market producing cotton, nylon, polyester and blended fabrics. The PenCott™ family of camouflage patterns greatly enhances our existing product offering and we are excited to have this opportunity to increase sales and marketing efforts for this newly created partnership. For further information about the PenCott™ patterns, please visit www.HydeDefinition.com and/or the PenCott™ Facebook page at: www.Facebook.com/PenCottcamouflage.

PenCott™ – Mission Critical Camouflage: the science behind the solution

The development of the PenCott™ pattern began in 2005 as a result of Dom Hyde noting that virtually all current-issue military camouflage patterns for clothing were ineffective in many environments and missions in a post 9/11 world. Dom’s decades of studying and experimenting with thousands of camouflage designs and the direct result of several years of independent research and development has gone into the creation of PenCott™.

The 360° pattern geometry – with the inclusion of large, medium and small fractal shapes – makes the PenCott™ patterns effective at close, mid and long range; and because of its non-linear orientation, the full effectiveness of the pattern is retained whether the wearer is standing, kneeling or prone.

Tactical Tailor & Tru-Spec Partner To Leave No Ranger Behind

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

Tactical Tailor in partnership with Tru-Spec provided OCP uniforms to the Ranger Regiment for their 30th Anniversary Celebration in less than 72 hours. That’s impressive.

Tactical Tailor received a phone call from a PNW-based Ranger BN on Tuesday morning (30 SEP 14) shortly after we had run our first article stating that the 75th Ranger Regiment would be switching to OCP for garrison wear on the Regiment’s 30th (Battalion’s 40th) anniversary celebrated 3 OCT 14. The unit was in urgent need of duty uniform quality OCP’s as everything they had been issued in the past has been used as “field/deployment” uniforms.

Tactical Tailor immediately reached out to Kurt Wendling of Atlanco. Kurt determined that Tru-Spec had enough stock on hand to support the Ranger’s short fuse request.

The Tactical Tailor SOCOM sales manager and Tactical Tailor purchasing manager worked through the night of the 30th scrubbing the size manifest by name and quantity required in order to have all the pieces in place so that Kurt and his team could immediately pull and package the uniforms for shipment on 1 OCT 14.

Tru-Spec had the required uniforms on the ground and in the Rangers hands prior to 1200 PST on 2 OCT 14, leaving plenty of time to get parade ready for the 30th Anniversary celebration on 3 OCT 14. Tactical Tailor and Tru-Spec accomplished their mission. No Rangers were left behind and everyone was in the proper uniform, although apparently, not every OCP uniform worn by the Rangers on Friday was an FR ACU.

Dunamis Gear – Cargo Hanger Pouches

Monday, October 6th, 2014

DSC05036

Dunamis Gear is a fairly new player in the outdoor and tactical gear industry, with their initial product offering being a line of Cargo Hanger general use pouches. The entire line is constructed of 500D Cordura nylon, and features military grade materials and ITW Nexus hardware. The pouches come in two different styles, Front Zip and Top Zip. The pouches utilize G-hooks to attach to PALS webbing and other compatible systems, which allows for quick attach and detach. Durability isn’t an issue, as the hooks are bar-tacked to the seams, and also connected to the compression straps. This removes stress from the seams when the straps are drawn tight, placing all the stress directly on the strap system.

Front Zip Cargo Hangers

Front Zip Cargo Hanger pouches are the larger of the two pouch styles. Their size allows these pouches to function well as auxiliary storage outside the main compartment of a pack. Due to the G-hook attachment, if access to any covered front pockets is required, one can simply and quickly unhook a single side and swing the pouch out of the way. This pouch also functions well off the pack, thanks to a flat underside design which rests on the ground, allowing quick access to contents. Pull tabs at the end of the zipper track make operation of the dual sliders easier. In addition to functioning as a modular general purpose pouch, the Front Zip Cargo Hangers are also designed to be used as an E&E or mini-duffel, and even as a day carry shoulder bag, when used with the optional shoulder strap.

They can also be outfitted with custom grab handles which fold away into stash pockets.

Front Zip Cargo Hangers come standard in three sizes:

Small – 12″ x 5″ x 4″
Medium – 13″ x 7″ x 5″
Large- 15″ x 8″ x 6″

Top Zip Cargo Hangers

The Top Zip Cargo Hangers are the smaller of the two style options. The heavy duty #10 YYK zipper coil keeps the general shape of the opening even with an empty pouch. According to the manufacturer, medical personnel have expressed interest in this feature, as it allows for hassle free access to contents and replacing items. The Top Zip features ladder lock buckles which reduce the overall weight, and loop locks which route the strap and provide strap management. Like the Front Zip, the zipper features tabs at the end to make operating the dual sliders easier.

Top Zip Cargo Hangers come standard in four sizes:

Small – 8″ x 5″ x 4″
Medium – 8″ x 8″ x 5″
Large – 12″ x 8″ x 5″
Wide – 8″ x 12″ x 5″

Cargo Hanger Pouches come in the following colors: Black, Coyote Brown, Foliage, Kryptek Highlander, MultiCam, OD Green, Ranger Green, Woodland, and Woodland MARPAT. In addition to the available sizes, Dunamis Gear can also make custom sizes for an additional fee. Made in the USA in Walla Walla, Washington.

For more information, and to make a purchase, you can email worldofdunamis@gmail.com. The Dunamis Gear website is currently under construction, although through it you can sign up for an email list which will alert you when the page is live.
