Direct Action USA Is Now Live

Today, Direct Action launched their North American commerce website. To celebrate the new site, Direct Action is offering free shipping on orders of at least $100 to the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Note that this offer extends only to a maximum of 5 products per order. Although they’re currently only selling to customers within the US, they plan on offering their products to the Canadian and Mexican markets later this year.

As a reminder, Direct Action, a line which debuted at IWA 2014 in Nürnberg, Germany, is Helikon-Tex’s independent clothing and gear brand. It consists of a head-to-toe system of head gear, garments, load carrying equipment, gloves, and boots, all of which is available in a range of solid colors and camouflage patterns, including Hyde Definition’s PenCott patterns.

SHOT Show -Tactical Tailor – CSAT Chest Rig

Tactical Tailor will be providing OEM capability to Combat Shooting and Tactics to produce an update version of the CSAT chest rig.

Improvements over the original version include a horizontal dual use pouch at the bottom that sized up to a PRC-152 and can also be stuffed out/organized as a blow out kit. The shoulder straps are constructed of 2” webbing that tapers down to 1” quick release buckles so the straps can be removed and mounted directly onto a plate carrier.

The improved mag pouches are capable of carrying 5.56, 7.62 and AK mags as well as single and double stack pistol mags.

The CSAT chest pack is due out of production on 15 FEB 15 and will be available exclusively from Combat Shooting and Tactics in Nacogdoches, Texas. Color options are OD and Coyote.

SHOT Show – 5.11 Tactical

One of the new product launches featured at the 5.11 Tactical Booth was the debute of the Next Level Uniform collection. Building upon the popular Stryke Pant, all Next Level Uniform clothing components are made from 5.11’s own Flex-Tax fabric for mobility and comfort.

Stryke Patrol Duty Uniform

The Stryke PDU is made from 5.11’s proprietary Flex-Tac mechanical stretch fabric, which has a low-vis ripstop weave and is treated with TEFLON for stain and soil resistance. Flex-Tac fabric is designed for easy of movement and lasting flexibility.

The Stryke PDU Shirt features low-profile hidden document pockets, a mic wire pass-through, badge tab, epaulettes, camera/radio loop, and melamine buttons.

The Stryke PDU Pant features hidden side seam pockets, self-adjusting tunnel waistband with gripper, gusseted crotch, low-profile cargo pocket, and built-in flashlight pockets at the rear thigh.

The Stryke PDU is available in traditional A-Class and B-Class styles in both men and women’s sizes.

Stryke Tactical Duty Uniform

Like the Stryke PDU, the Stryke TDU is made from 5.11’s proprietary Flex-Tac mechanical stretch fabric.

Seen in the image above is the Stryke TDU Shirt. It features canted front chest pockets, vertical sleeve pockets, reinforced articulated elbows, a badge tab holder, loop patch platform, and an included epaulette kit.

The Stryke TDU Pant features canted cargo pockets, a gusseted crotch and articulated knees, and a waistband with stretch panels.

Available in Black, Storm Grey, TDU Khaki, TDU Green, and Dark Navy.

5.11 is also offering a Stryke variant of their Stryke TDU Rapid Shirt.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Adaptive Cummerbund

The Adaptive Cummerbund is the next step in the FirstSpear system approach. Up to now, you’ve been able to exchange front panels for several carriers. Now, you can take full advantage of their Tubes technology. Tubes are located at both front and rear of the cummerbund meaning you can easily swap them out, as well as front and rear panels.

It is currently available in the “land” style with loop Velcro on the body side for Ragnar pockets, as well as a TFSS maritime flotation cummerbund specifically designed for combat swimmers, and/or maritime airborne operations personnel.

The TFSS cummerbund has been designed and tested for use during egress from a submerged structure of any type, providing 45lbs of positive flotation in seawater at a depth of 33 ft, 57lbs of positive flotation at a depth of 15 ft and 80lbs of flotation on the surface, allowing the wearer a maximum load-out of equipment.

Soft Armor Ballistic Inserts complying with NIJ Category IIIA.06 or specific Military Specification requirements are available from FirstSpear for an additional fee.

Company Assumes Role as Exclusive Replacement Parts Provider

January 28, 2015 Aberdeen, NC — Quantico Tactical, a leading supplier of Special Operational Equipment, has finalized an agreement with DHS Technologies to sell its DRASH shelter systems and repair parts to military units and federal agencies around the world. Additionally, Quantico Tactical will be stocking the most frequently used repair parts. “We will use our showrooms located near major military bases to showcase DRASH products and leverage our warehouse/distribution centers to stock and rapidly ship urgently-needed replacement parts. Additionally, customers will be able to walk into our stores located near Ft Bragg, Ft Campbell, Ft Riley, Ft Hood, Ft Lewis, Northern VA and Camp Pendleton to buy frequently-needed parts over the counter,” said David Hensley, CEO of Quantico Tactical. “Our sales team and customer service representatives will take care of both pre and post-sale needs.”

Quantico Tactical will sell DRASH shelter systems and replacement parts from its seven retail showrooms, through its inside and outside sale forces, and via government contracts. All DRASH items can be sourced through Quantico Tactical’s Defense Logistics Agency Tailored Logistic Support Program for Special Operational Equipment (TLS-SOE) contract.
