OPERATION HAWKEYE GS115 Campaign with Grunt Style To Support Special Operations Gold Star Youth

Bold Shirt Initiative by Virginia Teen and Grunt Style to Raise Funds for Organizations Dedicated to Serving Children of Fallen Special Operations Warriors

Mclean, VA, January 8, 2015

OPERATION HAWKEYE™ founder, Virginia schoolboy Will Thomas, along with mission teammate Grunt Style, LLC (http://www.gruntstyle.com), yesterday announced the launch of “GS115”, whose t-shirt sales will fund programs serving children of fallen Special Operations forces (SOF) warriors (SOF Gold Star youth), created and led by members of the SOF community.

The GS115 shirt design features a star on the left sleeve, symbolizing a Gold Star child supported by sales of a set of 100. Once every shirt in the initial set has sold, Grunt Style will update the design, adding another star to the sleeve before sales resume. According to Will Thomas, the phrase “GOT YOUR 6” appears below the star to assure the SOF community that we will honor our promise to remember the fallen and protect their families, including each and every Gold Star child.

ALL sales proceeds of GS115 shirts will be donated to fund participation of SOF Gold Star youth in programs providing healing, mentorship, development, and education, offered by:

Gold Star Teen Adventures (GSTA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, provides adventure camps to the surviving youth of Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force special operations personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty. GSTA is staffed with all volunteers from the active duty community, retired military, and civilians from the business community. Every camp is designed to provide an environment to enhance mentorship, encourage character and leadership development through team building experiences, and an opportunity to be with other youth who share a similar loss. Funds raised through GS115 will be used primarily to support their 2015 scuba, outdoor, and sailing adventure camps.

For more information, see www.gstadventures.org.

THE STATION Foundation (TSF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, presents an authentic homecoming process for the warriors and families of Special Operations Forces. TSF focuses on improving the quality of life for Special Operations’ service members, spouses and children by restoring critical bonds that have been impacted over the past 13 years of sustained combat. The Foundation’s workshops help participants identify their strengths and learn how to harness these strengths to enhance their performance. This unique approach helps participants reconnect to values and priorities so that they return home with a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Funds raised through GS115 will be used primarily to support CODE REDD, a 10-day Montana experience conceived by Jazlyn Redd (Gold Star Daughter of Steven Redd), supporting college-aged Gold Star children as they prepare to build a future in both their personal and professional lives. Its purpose is simple: to challenge and empower participants to pursue excellence; to confidently move forward with passion and drive; and to carry forward the values and ethos of their fallen warriors.

Gunfighter Moment – Larry Vickers

Saturday, January 10th, 2015

Misinformation overload; I hate to sound like a broken record but once again I must say be careful what you read and take as gospel from the Internet. Every single day I read something posted as if it is gospel handed down by Moses himself and it is dead ass wrong in regards to firearms and their use. Attending a class by an established instructor like those listed by Alias will teach you more than you will learn in a year of researching on the Internet. Be careful and consider the source before you listen to a keyboard commando on the World Wide Web.
