FirstSpear’s Viking Patrol Harness In The Wild

Thursday, February 18th, 2016

That’s Norway for those who wondered and the Viking Patrol Harness was developed specifically for Mountain and Cold Weather warfare. For instance, it’s in the ATACS ATX winter pattern. Additionally, it has shoulder and back straps that are longer than usual to accommodate cold weather clothing.

It features three fixed, full flapped magazine pockets capable of two 30 round 5.56 magazines along with a fixed radio pouch that holds radios of similar size to the AN/PRC-148 MBITR. Also, Modular 6/12 Panels on each side will accept FirstSpear’s complete line of FS 6/9 or 6/12 pockets as well as any older pockets with a PALS compatible attachment system. The harness also comes with the following 6/9 accessory pockets: Arctic Canteen and Cold Weather General Purpose with 2 External Pistol Magazine Pockets.

The Automag Is Making A Comeback!

Thursday, February 18th, 2016

The .44 Auto Mag has reached mythical status in the gun culture even though only about 9,000 were built over just a dozen or so years of production. The pistol was manufactured by several companies during the 70s and early 80s, flipflopping due to management issues with the last gun being assembled in 1982. But now, Auto Mag, Ltd of Florence, SC has acquired the rights and is set to begin manufacturing of the Auto Mag X.

Like I said, it’s reached mythical status, most likely because of its appearance in Dirty Harry’s ‘Sudden Impact’ installment. It sure made for good cinema, but the Automag is also familar to Mack Bolan fans. There’s something about the pistol’s lines and the thought of a controllable .44 automatic pistol that inspires the imagination.

But enough of what was, visit www.thenewautomag.com to learn about the future of this iconic American firearm.

Registration is now open for Warrior Expo West and East. These are literally my favorite shows of the year. No rolling milk carts, no JROTC cadets, no beef jerky and no BS. Just qualified users and buyers along with great companies and products. Additionally, they’ll have some very informative speakers and seminars. Be there!

Warrior West is 4-5 May in San Diego

Warrior East is 14-15 July in Virginia Beach

We’ve Started A “Hater” Matrix

Thursday, February 18th, 2016

I know, it sounds funny, doesn’t it? But the recent level of buffoonery in our comments section seemed to warrant some sort of tracking system. Turns out, a few of you guys complain…a lot. In some cases, it’s like having lunch with a guy who thinks he’s funny but no one else laughs at his jokes. In others it’s like having a mean drunk show up at a party.

So, here’s the deal. If the majority of your comments are about how much everything sucks, you’re now caught up in the matrix. It’s actually entertaining and at some point we may share it to give everyone a look. There are some real winners out there.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking, I’m a parent after all, but no, it’s not cool to be in the matrix. In fact, the matrix is a lot like a black list. Older guys will know what happens to people on the black list. It generally involves a black helicopter, in the middle of the night. Don’t be on that bird.
