Stuff I Like – UA Highlight Delta
Tuesday, April 18th, 2017Dudes like comfortable shoes too, and these are some of the most comfortable I’ve worn in awhile. While I don’t spend as much time in my feet as I used to, I do find myself attending at least one trade show per month. I began wearing them last Fall and these were awesome at SHOT Show.
Despite the mid height upper, the Highlight Delta is essentially a running shoe. The heelcup and lacing system lock my heel in place and the instep is plenty wide. However, the uppers are mesh, so I’ m not wearing these when it’s raining or if it’s sandy because it will just end up in the shoe. Having said that, they breathe very well on hot days.
The Stealth Great colorscheme is murdered out, with tone on tone UA logo, so these won’t stand out in a crowd.

Colt Announces the New Gold Cup Trophy

Updated to meet the desires of today’s elite shooters, the pistol is a modern take on the stalwart classic performance firearm that has helped so many competitive shooters achieve victory over the past century.
“We started the development of the new Gold Cup® Trophy when I decided to compete in the Bianchi Cup,” said Mark Redl, Team Colt Shooter and Product Manager for Colt. “Everything about this pistol was designed to make it an affordable option for the professional competitor to engage in the most elite shooting match in the world. We started with our standard Gold Cup® Trophy and upgraded it in the same ways that many enthusiasts and professionals do as they ship their beloved firearm around the country for costly specialty services. Now, for the cost of perhaps one or two of these services, you can buy a brand new Gold Cup® with the upgrades right from the factory.”
This new Gold Cup® features Colt’s competition ergonomics, including an undercut trigger guard and upswept beavertail grip safety, and Colt’s Dual Spring Recoil System™ for improved recoil mitigation. Factory 25 LPI checkering on the front and rear strap of the grip, along with Colt branded blue G10 grips complete the stabilization package. Competitors will appreciate the firing system, which is now the Colt Series 70™ system, which reduces the number of moving parts in the trigger assembly, as well as reduces the length and weight of the trigger pull.

At The Front – WWII Camo Wallet
Monday, April 17th, 2017At The Front offers vinatge and reproduction WWII clothing and equipment. One of their most recent projects was manufacturing WWII US military camouflage herringbone twill cloth. They are now offering these wallets in that pattern.
It’s a Men’s bifold wallet made using their reproduction materials. The body and main pockets are made from exact reproduction WWII US military camouflage herringbone twill cloth, reinforced with .75″ US military spec cotton binding tape in the WWII olive drab number 3 shade. Inside are two credit card/ ID pockets made from OD3 webbing.
Although the fabric itself is reversible, they offer a choice of Spring or Fall colors for the outer side of the wallet. (There was no way to make the wallets reversible.)
Assembled in USA with imported and American materials.
