CAROL STREAM, IL-PRS Shooter Joe Caley has been chosen as a brand ambassador for the small and select professional group that represents Grunt Style of Carol Stream, IL.

Grunt Style is 100 US Veteran and Patriot strong lifestyle apparel company whose mission is to deliver the highest quality, most Patriotic apparel on the planet straight to your front door.

Joe served in the US Army from 1990 to 2011 as an enlisted Infantryman, Ranger, Cavalry Scout and Infantry Officer.  Joe was severely wounded in Iraq in 2009.  As a result, he spent two years in hospitals for his second TBI, several surgeries for his legs, feet, a spinal injury and vestibular paresis.   With the help of his doctors and therapists they were able to train and calibrate a Bioness System that allows him to climb obstacles, hills and walk and traverse mountain trails and of course, shoot better than ever.

Joe is currently in 13th Place for the Tactical Division in PRS.  “Representing Grunt Style and being part of their Awesome Team is an incredible Honor!  When I received the call it was like Colonel Trautman telling John Rambo he had a mission for him. I look forward to representing the veteran community and the Grunt Style brand.”

Tim Jensen, COO of Grunt Style said of Joe, “Joe is one of the most genuine people that you could ever meet.  We’re happy to be partnered with him and show everyone what our veteran community is capable of together. ”

Joe is proud to announce that his earnings from Grunt Style will be donated to Tacoma, WA based non-profit, “Liz Rocks.”

The mission of Liz Rocks is to create a state of the art outdoor rock climbing/bouldering wall at Point Defiance Park, Tacoma, Washington in honor of Liz Daley.

Liz Daley was a Tacoma, WA native and a Western Washington University Alumnus.  Liz was killed in avalanche in Argentina in 2014 while working as a professional climber and guide for Eddie Bauer.  A memorial project was established in her name in 2015 to provide a safe environment to introduce a whole new crowd to rock climbing/bouldering.

Krystle Edwards, Executive Director of Liz Rocks said, “Some of the biggest and most unlikely supporters of the Liz Rocks Campaign have been the Ranger Veteran community, especially people like Joe.  We are super stoked to have the opportunity to continue to bridge gaps in our community and provide a place that offers a sense of adventure to everyone.”

Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier

Nampa, Idaho (June 2016) – Adaptive Tactical, LLC, manufacturers of innovative firearm stocks and accessories, has released its new Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier, available for both Remington and Mossberg pump action shotguns. The first product in a series of upcoming product launches focused on convenient

shot shell storage, this simple and sturdy design allows for quick access storage of up to six 12 gauge shells right from the side of the receiver. Ideal for home defense, sport shooting and law enforcement use, the Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier is up to the task and ready to perform in the harshest of conditions. The Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier is a natural line extension from the ultimate shot shell carrying system – the Sidewinder Venom.

The shell carrier is made from durable, flexible non-glare chemical and weather resistant synthetic rubber that will flex to securely hold shells without losing its shape over time. This easy-to-install and nonpermanent design will keep shells close to the receiver for faster reloads while reducing the risk of snags. The streamlined, lightweight Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier features a shaped mounting plate which fits closely to the receiver’s contours.

The Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier for Remington Shotguns is compatible with Remington 870, 1100 and 11-87. The Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier for Mossberg Shotguns is compatible with Mossberg 500, 88 and 590. Both Carriers are 6.75″ long and weigh 5.3 oz. (152 g.).

Twenty-two active operators attended the event, including snipers, recons, and mobile personnel from six major European countries.

The purpose of the workshop was to educate the troops on the ‘what’ of camouflage: camo available on the market, threats, and how to protect oneself against opposing forces using camo. The workshop also focused on re-explaining Multispectral ranges and threats – UV, VIS, NIR, SWIR, Thermal, and RADAR – and introducing SWIR capabilities and users, and how to protect against SWIR. The workshop also had the benefit of reinforcing cooperation by European SOF units, who shared and exchanged information, and contact details for future collaborations and training.

the workshop included:

· Multispectral threats presentation existing in the market today (Military & Civilian)

· Emphasizing on the latest threat – the SWIR presentation

· Operational camo lecture by ex ISTC instructor (9 years) which was held in a Cave

· “kill zone'” demo, where the attendees were entered into a ‘kill zone’ exposed to suits, op, and FibroTex’s mobile/modular system

· Day & Night spotting competition (using all devices brought by attendees)

· Handouts of all the educational material (both by hard copies and digital formats) to take back to the units

The workshop was the first of more planned for next year and beyond, with the next workshop tentatively planned for mid-February 2017. These future workshops will include Urban, High altitude, desert battle zones camouflage solutions and an operational camo seminar.
