SSD Exclusive – Belleville Unveils “Burma” – New Ver 2 Jungle Combat Boot

The “Burma”, Style# 901 V2

Belleville Boot Company has been contracted to provide 400 pairs of its new, lower profile Jungle Combat Boot (JCB) to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii where members of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team (25th ID) and cadre of the Jungle Operations Training Center (JOTC) will be targeted to test and evaluate the “Burma” boot.

Named in memory of the famed Marauders of the 5307th Composite Unit, whose actions in the Burma jungles during WWII are legendary; this “Version 2” has been updated from Belleville’s first JCB submission to the Army to include critical enhancements that were suggested from soldiers who performed the original wear tests.

Key design and performance criteria goals were to:
• Reduce overall weight (compared to the Version 1 JCB)
• Reduce thickness/height of the polyurethane midsole
• Enhance drainage
• Minimize water pick up/absorption of upper materials
• Maximize dry out time
• Provide traction and grip in wet, muddy environments

The Burma boot features:
• Full grain, flesh-out, waterproof leather (coyote color)
• Medial-side and Lateral-side drainage perforations
• The Vibram® Panama II outsole with MEGAGRIP® compound
• Enhanced cushioned insole with drainage channels
• State-of-the-art, polyurethane direct injection construction

In addition to these features, the Burma is also built on the same last as the U.S. Army’s Hot Weather Combat Boot, Temperate Weather Combat Boot, and Intermediate Cold/Wet Boot…insuring a consistent fit across all of the Army’s issued boots.

Belleville is slated to deliver these 400 pairs on 30-OCT-17 and will also offer the Burma 901 V2 for sale later in the fall through AAFES Military Clothing Sales and AAFES on-line.

The long-time preferred stock of US Special Operations Command and employed by AFSOC for years, the LMT SOPMOD Stock’s ergonomic features provide comfort, functionality and reliability. The shape of the stock allows the user to find the perfect cheek weld every time.

The rubber padded buttplate provides a non-slip surface, ideal for use with chest rigs and body armor. Included in the stock’s frame are two watertight storage compartments that hold batteries, victory cigars or other small items. The stock provides a tighter fit to the buffer tube, allowing for a more stable shooting platform (no more wobble).

US Patent and Trademark Office Issues Cam-Fit Patent To Team Wendy

US Patent 9,743,701 has been issued for Team Wendy’s popular Cam-Fit retention system. The Cam-Fit is very popular due to its ease of use as well as fit, comfort, and load balance. The system is used in Team Wendy’s EXFIL line of helmets as well as sold as a plug-and-play system for most common ballistic helmets. In fact, you may notice that the helmet shell in the drawings is a Crye Precision AirFrame.

Knockoffs of the system have recently surfaced. No doubt these will now be in Team Wendy’s crosshairs.

Panteao Productions Introduces Strength Training Videos

Columbia, SC, August 28, 2017 – Panteao is happy to announce the upcoming launch of a new streaming video series called Strength Performance Applications. The series is taught by instructor Scott Puckett. Scott previously appeared in the Panteao Make Ready with Tony Blauer instructional videos.

Scott Puckett served in both Iraq and Afghanistan as a close protection specialist with the US Department of State and the US Department of Defense. He held leadership rolls while tasked with protecting the highest-level dignitaries, foreign and domestic. Over the last two decades, Scott has served in several tactical capacities as a member of special weapons and tactics teams and leading high risk tactical operations.

Throughout his life, Scott has been physically active, participating in sports, martial arts, and watersports. Scott was first introduced to performance based athletic training as a team physical fitness regime while deployed in Afghanistan. Upon returning to the states, Scott completed an internship with two highly skilled physical fitness coaches and thus began his career coaching people to obtain their fitness goals. He founded and operated Richland 1 CrossFit, and then co-founded two local athletic performance facilities, assisting many more reach their desired objectives of being harder humans.

For the past twenty-three years, Scott has served as a law enforcement officer in one capacity or another. He is currently employed at the Horry County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit in Conway, South Carolina where he serves as the Wellness Coordinator. He leads his agency in teaching physical fitness, firearms, defensive tactics, and driving training.

Strength and conditioning training is an important part of an overall fitness program. It can dramatically improve the performance of those in special operations, military, police, firefighters, first responders, emergency service personnel, and the keen private citizen. Strength and conditioning training will help you become stronger, leaner, and healthier while giving you increased work capacity, durability, and protection against injury.

The new upcoming video series will help you improve your capacity on the range, reduce your fatigue and in doing so, help you gain more out of your range training time.
