It’s great to see the clothing side catch up with the armor which was first to adopt Hellhound Grey. Here, you can see a THOR carrier along with GARM combat clothing, all in the same color. The gloves are Mechanix Wear in Wolf Grey which also gives you an idea of how Hellhound Grey will blend with Urban Wolf Grey. These Grey hues have become very popular in Europe, particularly with LE CT organizations.

Milipol 17 – Sneak Peek UF PRO’s Ace Winter Combat Shirt

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017

UF PRO gave us a sneak peek of their new Ace Winter Combat Shirt. It’s intended to keep your arms warm in cold weather, yet allow plenty of ventilation when you are active.

The arm sections are insulated with GLOFT thermal insulation while the torso is made from a wind proof and water repellant material. Venitilation is provided by underarm and an asymmetric front zippers. Additionally, the zippered mid-chest pockets offer ventilation as well. Since it’s UF PRO, they’ve also incorporated their AirPac inserts at the shoulders.

I really like a feature they’ve incorprated into the design. Wrist warmers are great, but they make it difficult to check your watch. UF PRO has introduced a watch window.

Available the first week of December in Brown Grey, Black, Frost Grey and MultiCam.

Sukeru – Tactical Alone Hood

Monday, November 20th, 2017

Japanese tactical shop Sukeru has introduced the Tactical Alone Hood. Basically, it’s a stand-alone hood made from NYCO, or similar fabric, which can be worn in conjunction with load bearing equipment such as hanrnesses, armor or backpacks. Conceptually, the idea has merit and is one-step removed from items like Crye Precision’s HalfJak. However, the Tactical Alone Hood doesn’t feature sleeves, nor is it insulated. Perhaps a new material is in order. I’d also like to see the inventor go for some lower profile buckles, and maybe introduce elastic webbing.
