New for 2015, Kitanica has released their Range Shorts. Constructed of NyCo ripstop, the Range Shorts features a double layer reinforced seat, bar-tacked stress points, and a contoured, Velcro cinching waistband with 7 belt loops. There are a total of 8 pockets on the Range Shorts: 2 hip pockets, 2 rear pockets, 2 side pockets, and 2 cargo pockets. The left and right side pockets are reinforced in the corners with Cordura to prevent knife clip wear.

Consisting of an Assault Shirt, Assault Pant and Recce Shirt, Arc’teryx has started from scratch, completely revamping their combat uniform offering. With Arc’teryx I expect to see a synthesis of material and design and this uniform is just that. I was wearing my Vertx Smock the other day during a visit to Academi and someone asked me who made it. When I said it was a Vertx smock, he was was surprised and didn’t realize how nice it was. Now, I find out they are on sale. I highly recommend this jacket. Even though it has been out for several years, the design remains excellent and is unlike any other smock on the market.

Velocity Systems is poised to not only release a long sleeved version of the popular Boss Rugby (seen here in Earth) but also a new short sleeved color; Brown. You can see that the new Brown is much darker than the current Earth and will fill the need of many customers looking for a true Brown shade.
The Boss Rugby remains my go-to range shirt for warm weather and now that there’s a long sleeved version, I can wear one all year round.
According the Bild am Sonntag, the German Bundeswehr’s clothing supplier, the LH Bundeswehr Bekleidungsgesellschaft mbH (LHBw). Have posted a $12,8 million Euro loss, LHBw can’t order additional stock placing the Army in a precarious position. A public-private partnership, LHBw has asked the Army (25.1% owner of the concern) for a 104 Million Euro cash infusion last month which was rejected. Instead, the Army is considering purchasing the company’s core business outright or in conjunction with other investors.
