Pepper’s Donation Drop – 2022 Toy Drive

Sunday, November 13th, 2022

You may recognize Pepper and her handler Justin Melnick from the hit CBS series “SEAL Team”. Pepper is raising funds for working K9s via Military Working Dog Team Support Association, Inc an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity.

Here’s Pepper’s pitch….”If you donate $18 to MWDTSA, you will be purchasing the ‘Magnum Black Stars and Stripes’ rope toy from USA-K9 by SodaPup pictured on the right. It’s made from extra sturdy rubber so teeth like mine can’t bite through it. As an added bonus, from November 1 through December 15, 2022, USA-K9 by SodaPup will match your tax-deductible donation with TWO additional toys. That’s right, you’re purchasing three toys for the price of one. Thank you!”

Once the fundraising drive is over, MWDTSA will send the toys to working dogs.

Disabled Veteran to Conduct March to Raise Funds for Gulf War Syndrome Research

Monday, September 26th, 2022

We received this info from a sponsor who asked if we could share it.

Hello Dear Friends,

My name is John Mumby and I am a proud Gulf War Veteran from Operation Desert Storm (1990- 1991). I would like to take a moment of your time to share with you the lasting effects of what is called “Gulf War Syndrome”. In the spring of 2020, I started developing neuromuscular and skeletal symptoms from the inhalation of Saran gas and other chemical agents due to improper exposure and disposal during the war. These symptoms are debilitating and chronic and have taken me out of the work force like so many other Gulf war vets. The hardest part about this is I have passed on progressive debilitating health issues to three of my children.

I am setting out on my last road march from Waskom Tx, to El Paso TX in an effort to raise awareness for other veterans suffering from Gulf War syndrome and to gain the attention of our state congress and senators to press forward with legislation to force the Veteran’s administration to recognize Gulf War Syndrome as a disability and all of its symptoms.

I am humbly requesting your assistance in this endeavor. I will need financial support on the road march to El Paso, TX. This a planned, 6O day walk with military backpack (rucksack or ruck) and I am asking that you go the distance with me and sponsor me by the miles walked for the Gulf War Syndrome Research at UT Southwestern, in Dallas, TX. Any amount will provide hope for this and other broken warriors!

All funds are to be directed to the Col. Bill Davis fund at engage.utsouthwestern.edu/donate-vets. If you wish to support me personally, please present all donations to my wife Lisa Mumby. Her contact info is 903-975-3144

Thank you in advance for your support and donations to finding a cure.

RISE Patriot Trigger Benefiting Folds of Honor

Wednesday, August 31st, 2022

There are more than 1 million disabled and fallen service members. Nearly 2 million military heroes’ dependents are negatively impacted by war. The cost to provide educational scholarships to those dependents is a whopping $9 billion, and 85% of the families don’t qualify for federal aid.

That’s where Folds of Honor comes in. They provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of those who were killed or disabled while serving our great nation.

Our troops and their families have unselfishly sacrificed, so we can sleep safely each night and enjoy our sweet liberties each day. As Americans, we have to give back.

That’s why RISE Armament is partnering with Folds of Honor by designing and manufacturing special products that benefit the Folds of Honor foundation.

“To say we’re proud to help out and donate to Folds of Honor is an understatement,” says Matt Torres, president of RISE Armament. “Veterans’ families are often overlooked, which is really a shame. Our troops and their families have tremendous courage and have made so many sacrifices. It’s our duty as Americans, as patriots, to take care of them and honor what they’ve done for us all.”

Here are a few reasons RISE Armament is especially proud to team up with Folds of Honor:

• The scholarships Folds of Honor gives honor the sacrifices of those who have given so much to protect our freedom.
• Folds of Honor operates efficiently and respectfully, allowing the organization to donate 91% of every dollar raised to its scholarships.
• Folds of Honor is based in Oklahoma, but it has awarded scholarships in all 50 states, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
• Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 35,000 educational scholarships.

To further benefit Folds of Honor, RISE Armament developed the Patriot High-Performance Trigger and is donating a portion of each Patriot Trigger’s purchase price to the Folds of Honor foundation. It’s an easy-to-install, accuracy-enhancing rifle upgrade that gives back to veterans and their families. Each trigger purchase helps fund educational scholarships for children and spouses of fallen and disabled service members.

The Patriot Trigger has a crisp, clean release and ultra-short reset for faster follow-up shots and improved accuracy. It has a light, 3.5-pound pull and straight trigger blade.

A limited-edition item, the drop-in trigger group includes a Folds of Honor and RISE Armament commemorative challenge coin, along with free tools and anti-walk pins for fast and easy trigger installation.

Aero Precision Partners with the Second Amendment Foundation to Help the Fight Against Gun Control in Washington State

Saturday, July 23rd, 2022

To raise funds to combat the recent standard capacity magazine ban (SB 5078) in the State of Washington, we at Aero Precision partnered with the Second Amendment Foundation to sell specially marked 30-round magazines. The net profits from each of these magazines sold have been donated to the Second Amendment Foundation raising a total of $28,120 for the fight against this unconstitutional law.

This fundraiser worked to not only generate money for this fight but also played a key part in our effort to get more standard capacity magazines into the hands of Washington State residents before the ban took effect.

Being a Washington-based firearms manufacturer we at Aero Precision want to ensure we are taking actions with a measurable impact beyond just building awareness. While the fight to preserve the Second Amendment is national, we believe the need to dig in at a local level is imperative. These values are something we hold close to heart as these types of laws negatively impact the rights of our local community members, employees, and customers.

About Aero Precision:

Aero Precision is a leading, top-tier manufacturer in the firearms industry. With roots in Aerospace, our quality and attention to detail go unmatched. When building something that flies, there is no margin for error. We take that same approach when making parts for firearms. Aero always delivers extremely high-quality, American-manufactured parts and components that you can rely on.

Manufacturing a great firearm isn’t just about what the end product looks like. It’s about what it feels like, how it works, how it handles, and how it performs. We push the boundaries of manufacturing and challenge the status quo by constantly looking for new ways to use, develop or evolve existing processes. By personally designing and engineering state-of-the-art tooling, we’re able to leverage the latest machine tool technologies to provide our customers with parts and components of the highest quality.

Safran Optics 1 Raises Over $43,000 for the Sterling Promise Foundation

Thursday, June 2nd, 2022

Safran Optics 1 supports non-profit organizations which seek to improve the lives of veterans and military families. Most recently, Optics 1 partnered with the Sterling Promise Foundation to host their first-ever fundraiser during Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) 2022. With the help of industry sponsors, financial donations and a silent auction, the foundation received $43,500 to support their mission.

The Sterling Promise Foundation exists to honor the life of Staff Sergeant Scott Sterling, who passed away in April 2021 after a heroic battle with colorectal cancer. Scott served in the 75th Ranger Regimental Reconnaissance Detachment and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta. The foundation is dedicated to ensuring that veterans are able to live long, healthy, fulfilling lives following their careers in the US Army Special Operations, through early cancer screenings and awareness campaigns.

With financial assistance, the foundation can focus on early detection cancer screenings and augment related medical benefits for special forces members and veterans before cancer takes another soldier. Some of their ongoing initiatives include:

• Partnership with Cologuard® to promote early screenings for colorectal cancer

• Free colorectal screenings for veterans, regardless of age, whose insurance benefits do not cover

• Awareness campaign targeting the special operations community promoting all GI cancer screenings

Optics 1 was honored to host this event to raise funds and awareness for the well-being of our nation’s veterans, while celebrating the life of Scott Sterling, a cherished industry friend.
