XTech Tactical Releases The Pistol Training Gloves

Saturday, September 16th, 2017

Designed to teach the thumbs forward grip, XTech Tactical releases the PTG (Pistol Training Gloves)

Mesa, AZ- XTech Tactical, makers of the adjustable angle ATG AR Grip and their VP9 & P30 magazines and extensions announced today the release of their PTG (Pistol Training Gloves). The patent pending gloves use hook and loop to reinforce the “thumbs forward grip”.

Check out this quick video!

The Pistol Training Glove, or PTG from XTech Tactical teaches & reinforces the “thumbs forward” grip technique used by military, law enforcement, and professional shooters. With its grip interlock technology, the PTG’s hook and loop fasteners engage only when your hands are in the correct position.  The use of this training tool will develop habits and muscle memory that build shooting skills and confidence.

The gloves are breathable, comfortable and made from high end materials. They come in a full range of sizes ranging from XS-L to meet almost any trainee’s needs. The gloves are fully ambidextrous and address a problem we can all relate to. When introducing a beginner pistol shooter to the thumbs forward grip it is often quickly forgotten. And without the instructor by the trainee’s side and prior to muscle memory being established, the trainee becomes unsure of themselves. Also, in a training environment when handling a live weapon for the first time the trainee often forgets the grip and the instructor is forced to correct them, which often requires physical contact. This can create a dangerous situation but at a minimum affects the confidence of the trainee. With the gloves, you will find the grip will no longer need to be a major focus of training and they assist in building confidence and a more enjoyable experience!

The gloves are simple to use and are an excellent tool in your range bag no matter if you are a beginner, instructor, or just act as a 2nd Amendment Ambassador and introducing others to shooting pistols!

MSRP is $34.95. They can be purchased at www.xtechtactical.com. Dealer pricing, and special NRA instructor pricing is available. Dealer and Instructor inquiries please contact jeremy@xtechtactical.com.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Gloves

Friday, June 16th, 2017

Introducing the all new tactical glove line from FirstSpear, the advanced combat system for your hands! Currently available in three distinct styles, the Operator Inner Glove (OIG), Operator Outer Glove (OOG), and Operator Contact Glove (OCG). The entire line was designed three dimensionally to ensure an incredible fit with maximum dexterity featuring Pittards® world class leather known for improved breathability, low water uptake, and soft drying.

OIG_MG_8446

The Operator Inner Glove (OIG) is constructed with a core spun merino wool blended with a touch of nylon and premium 100% Pittards® Digital Goatskin Palm. The OIG is the lightest and most tactile glove in the line up offering the most feedback for the user. The trigger finger of the OIG has an advanced patent pending design that will still give excellent transmission of trigger feel, magazine release and other key weapons functions. The OIG can work as a stand-alone capability or when higher durability and toughness is required it can be utilized in conjunction with the Operator Outer Glove (OOG). The advantages in OIG materials and construction is that these gloves almost feel like you are not wearing them and still allow thumb and index finger touch screen compatibility.

In order to achieve this amazing level of peak performance the OIG utilizes extremely light, thin materials which by their very nature will not stand up to extremely long periods of hard abuse and would not be an item you would expect to hand down to your kids like other FS equipment. These gloves should be expected to perform exceptionally well through a standard train up and deployment.

OOG_glove_MG_5404

Based upon a battlefield proven design that exposes the trigger finger and thumb for key weapon manipulations the Operator Outer Glove (OOG) is not your average “black leather glove”. The OOG is oversized to fit the OIG underneath for extended resilience and wear performance. Inherently Anti-bacterial odor suppression Goatskin construction with Cow Split palm patch for increased durability and reinforced button holes on the wrist for hooking them to your carabiner. No need to size up on the OOG (large inner glove fits inside large outer glove).

OCG_glove_MG_5416

Last but not least the Operator Contact Glove (OCG) is a mid-weight contact glove designed for professional users operating in a wide variety of climates and conditions. The OCG will provide warmth in conditions down to 40F and protection from thermal transfer in conditions up to 160F, all the while extremely light in design and maintaining great dexterity. Materials selected for the OCG reflect the absolute state of the art for light weight, performance and function while maintaining exceptional durability. If a wide range of rugged locations is your potential Area of Operations or you see 3 or more seasons in the execution of your pursuits, consider the OCG for use as an advanced combat system for your hands.

The Hands On Glove Line incorporates materials from outside the USA that meet or exceed the quality and performance of available USA materials. Material and volume restrictions call for the commercial versions to be manufactured in Sri Lanka with a 100% BERRY compliant variant coming soon.

I’ve tried them all and am impressed. The OOG is perfectly sized to fit over the inner gloves. Additionally, the TAA compliant gloves made in Sri Lanka are very high quality. In fact, some of the materials for this glove aren’t even available as Berry compliant yet.
