Capewell Wins Try, Decide, Buy Award

Capewell Aerial Systems is proud to announce that we are among 11 small businesses qualified by the US Air Force for a multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract in the potential amount of $950,000,000 over the next ten years. Component contracts will be awarded and administered through the Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center’s Try-Decide-Buy (TDB) program.

The TDB program seeks to rapidly field and deploy Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) items including, but not limited to: Uniforms, Cold Weather Clothing Systems, Visual Augmentation Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, Helmets, Body Armor, Tactical Carriers, Individual & Survival Equipment, Lighting, Air Crew Support Equipment, Communication & Electronics Test Equipment, Tactical Equipment, Load Bearing Equipment, Lethality Support Items, Boots, Gloves, Eye Protection, Egress Equipment, Aerial Insertion Equipment, Search & Rescue Equipment, Personnel Recovery Equipment, Medical Equipment, Bladder Relief Equipment, Power Management, Hydration, Ancillary Services and Testing as applicable.

Capewell’s product line and manufacturing capabilities dovetail nicely with these categories and we’re excited about the opportunity to partner with the Air Force to develop and supply gear in support of the Try-Decide-Buy program.

Admiral Scott Moore joins Board of Directors of Wild Things, LLC

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2019 — Wild Things, LLC (“Wild Things” or the “Company”), an ASGARD Partners & Co. (“ASGARD”) portfolio company, today announced that Admiral Scott Moore has joined its Board of Directors.

Admiral Moore retired in 2014 as a Navy Rear Admiral with over 30 years in Naval Special Warfare (“NSW”). During his impressive career, he led at every level of NSW, from SEAL platoon commander, to Commander of the Nation’s premier Counterterrorist Force, to Deputy Commander of Naval Special Warfare Command, where he was responsible for training and equipping a 7,000 person force. He also commanded a 1,500 person Joint Task Force in Afghanistan, which conducted over 2,000 missions against enemy leaders.

His staff tours included assignments as director of Counterterrorism on the National Security Staff, White House, directly briefing The President of the United States; as the Assistant Operations Officer for Counterterrorism, The Pentagon, where he advised the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff daily on counterterrorism operations; and as the Deputy Commander for Operations, Office of Defense Representative, Pakistan, where he coordinated NATO operations with Pakistani military leaders.

Admiral Moore currently serves as CEO of Karakoram Group, which he co-founded, an organization that focuses on solving global commercial security problems.

Steve “Mato” Matulewicz Joins SENTRY Products Group Board of Directors

Virginia Beach, Virginia, (October 10, 2019) – SENTRY Products Group, a leading manufacturer and distributor of products focused on protection, storage, and transportation of outdoor, military, and law enforcement equipment, is pleased to announce Steve “Mato” Matulewicz has joined the SENTRY Board of Directors. Mato brings his depth of experience in sales and operations to the SENTRY Board of Directors, in addition to a distinguished career as a U.S. Navy SEAL.

Mato is currently Vice President of the SIG SAUER Academy overseeing the daily operations of a 140-acre facility providing the highest quality firearms instruction and tactical training in the world, and the SIG SAUER Academy Pro Shop in Epping, New Hampshire. Previously, Mato was the Executive Director of Global Defense Sales for SIG SAUER, Executive Director-Special Operations Division at ATK/BLACKHAWK!, and Vice President of Sales Operations BLACKHAWK! Products Group.

As a U.S. Navy SEAL, Mato served for 24-years retiring at the rank of Command Master Chief. He has held numerous executive/leadership positions as a U.S. Navy SEAL including the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (Squadron Command Master Chief), SEAL Team TWO (Command Master Chief), and Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command (Command Master Chief).

ASGARD Appoints Industry Veteran Amy Coyne as Chief Executive Officer of Revision Military LTD

ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT (October 10, 2019) – Revision Military Limited (“Revision” or the “Company”), an ASGARD Partners & Co. (“ASGARD”) portfolio company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Coyne as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”).

Ms. Coyne has over 23 years of professional experience and has held several leadership roles touching all facets of the tactical equipment industry. Most recently, Ms. Coyne was selected to lead ASGARD’s portfolio company Wild Things, LLC, where she has led the team through the revitalization of an industry legacy brand now experiencing significant growth and success. Ms. Coyne previously was the Vice President of the Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (“OCIE”) Market at ADS Inc. (“ADS”). In that role, Ms. Coyne oversaw the entire OCIE market category for ADS, the premier equipment, procurement, support, and logistics solutions specialist to the U.S. Military and Department of Defense (“DoD”). She was responsible for establishing the strategic vision and developing executable plans for the OCIE market.

Prior to this role at ADS, Amy was President and CEO with Propper International. In this position, Ms. Coyne was responsible for leading and overseeing one of the largest official apparel and gear suppliers to the U.S. Armed Forces, which has manufactured over 120 million garments for the U.S. DoD – Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Special Forces and law enforcement and tactical retail stores across the country.

Under the guidance of ASGARD and new CEO Amy Coyne, the Company will expand capabilities to pursue new growth opportunities and support the needs of existing customers. Amy Coyne will maintain her role as CEO of Wild Things, LLC and continue her responsibilities with that company.

Asgard Partners & Co Acquires Revision Eyewear Business

NEW YORK (October 1, 2019) – ASGARD Partners & Co. (“ASGARD”), a private equity firm based in New York, and Merit Capital Partners (“Merit”), a private equity firm based in Chicago, have partnered to acquire the eyewear business of Revision Military Limited (“Revision” or the “Company”), the world leader in protective eyewear solutions for military and tactical use. The transaction includes the sale of the protective eyewear product line, the world-renowned Revision name and branding, the Essex, Vermont 53,000 square foot manufacturing operation, and team of 130 employees. Under the guidance of ASGARD, the newly separated Revision eyewear business will continue day-to-day operations with its key management and existing manufacturing team.

Revision was founded as an eyewear company in 2001, and quickly became one of the primary suppliers of protective eyewear to military forces around the globe, including the U.S. Army, British Army, German and Swiss Armed Forces. Over the past decade, the Company has invested in advanced technology and equipment in the areas of materials, coatings and dyes to improve performance and become the leader in ballistic laser protective solutions ASGARD and Merit’s investment in Revision provides the Company with valuable strategic guidance and meaningful growth capital, reinforcing and expanding its capabilities to pursue new growth opportunities and support the needs of existing customers.

Revision Military Announces Sale Of Eyewear Business

Montreal, Quebec, Canada (October 1st, 2019) – Revision—a world leader in Soldier System solutions and equipment— announced today that it has sold its protective eyewear business to ASGARD Partners & Co., a private investment firm based in New York. “This divestiture supports our strategy to sharpen our portfolio and fund expanded capabilities and growth initiatives around enhanced warfighter survivability and lethality,” said Revision CEO, Jonathan Blanshay.

The transaction includes the sale of the Essex, Vermont manufacturing operation and the protective eyewear product line, along with the Revision TM and branding. The newly separated Revision eyewear business will continue day-to-day operations with the legacy management and manufacturing team in Essex, Vermont. “Revision eyewear has become the world-wide leader in military eye protection, and is a valuable and recognized industry brand,” said Blanshay. “As a stand-alone business with the support and direction of ASGARD Partners & Co., Revision eyewear will be in a better position to pursue strategic growth opportunities.”
