High Speed Gear’s Medical Monday Features Tourniquet TACOs

SWANSBORO, N.C. –April 4, 2022 – Whether you are a service member training in the field, forward deployed, a law enforcement officer or training on your own, tourniquet (TQ) pouches are essential items to carry. High Speed Gear® offers TQ pouches so you can access your life-saving equipment rapidly.

In 2019, the Tourniquet TACO® was designed at High Speed Gear® headquarters to have the adjustability of the TACO®, in a tourniquet pouch form. The design was intended so users can deploy various windlass-style tourniquets quickly for intense pressure scenarios. However, it can be used with or without the pull tab for an open-top pouch, much like the Kydex® Tourniquet TACO®.

Shortly after the Tourniquet TACO® was released, Comp-Tac Holsters™ (a division of High Speed Gear®) released two different Kydex® Tourniquet TACOs®, for those that enjoy the “hard shell” TACO® pouches. These function much like the original Tourniquet TACO®, allowing the use of SAM® XT, C-A-T®, SOF® TT, and SOF® TT Wide tourniquets in just one pouch.

Black Triangle – Rigid Bag Panel-Sling

Although it’s designed to fit the Patagonia Atom 8L Sling Black Triangle’s Rigid Bag Panel-Sling can be used in other slings, satchels, and small messenger-type bags. It’s pretty versatile and user configurable. I’m going to order once they go live today at 1500 EDT.

16 riveted 1/4” holes (The riveted holes serve as anchor points if you wish to dummy cord the panel to your bag)

24 non-riveted 1/4” holes

4×6 1” MOLLE/MALICE channels*

Each Panel comes standard with 2 60” strands of 1/8” braided shock cord & 2 cord locks.

*When utilizing the MOLLE/MALICE channels, we prefer to use the TT Fight Light MALICE CLIPS (long) orEsstac WTFix Straps (Long)

Messenger and Full Size bag panels are expected by Q4 2022.

Designed in collaboration with Lead Faucet Tactical the Helium Whisper LFT Mesh Dump Pouch can be used to accept your empties or as a small SSE pouch. The bag measures 9” x 9” with a shock cord and PTFE lined opening and cord lock synch. The PTFE lined opening helps hold the bag open while in use but can be easily folded for storage. The entire bag rolls up into a small square and can be secured with a Velcro Brand flap to be stowed when not in use. RavenBelt

We ran across RavenBelt during the recent Enforce Tac show in Germany. It’s a new Austrian company which created a product out of need.

The founder wasn’t satisfied with existing duty belts so came up with a new belt design, made from an elastomer. It’s easy to set up with equipment and then adjust for size once you’re wearing it. It’s also stiff under load. Additionally, they’ve also developed keepers to prevent pouches from slipping out of place.

Turns out, we were getting a preview of the RavenBelt which launches in May 1st.
