SHOT Show 22 – Blast Proof Soft Cooler by Blackbridge Defense

We’ve previously mentioned Blackbridge Defense’s weapon mounts during our AUSA coverage. They’ve expanded their offerings with the Blast Proof Soft Cooler which was designed to prevent water bottles from exploding during IED blasts. In addition to up to 30 water bottles, it will also accept MREs, 5 Gallon Jerry Cans and the High Stress Collapsible Water Bag 5 Gallon bladder.

It’s designed to keep ice for up to 56 hours. I took this photo at about 3PM on the last day of SHOT Show in a room that was around 70 Deg F. The ice was still whole and the bag had been opened numerous times during the day to show the interior. Its going to keep your stuff cool. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to blow it up.

Shear Shingle

The Shear Shingle from Canada’s Aussie Peelback is a way to store your EMT shears sandwiched between a Velcro backed shingle and your armor carrier.

The shears are held fast with a simple Velcro strap. Offered in Black and Tan.

SHOT Show 22 – Agilite Pincer Placard

While elastic-style ammo pouches keep your magazines secure, many people complain that it can be difficult to reinsert them. Agilite went to work on the issue and came up with the Pincer Placard. They developed a new molded mouth that works like a funnel and lined the pouch for easier insertion. Yet, the elastic body still does its job.

They automated the test process of inserting magazines thousands of times in order to check wear on their new pouch. If you haven’t seen their test apparatus in action, be sure to go here.

SHOT Show 22 – Spiritus Systems

Spiritus Systems has introduced a new laser cut pouch flap which facilitates its use with a wide variety of odd shaped items.

Here you can see how the edges of magazines catch on the flap of the Spud pouch, keeping them from moving around.

They’ve found a second function. It also serves to break up the outline of pouches, aiding in camouflage.

SHOT Show 22 – 18 Series Bag Company

During one of the pre-SHOT Show range events I ran into a new Veteran owned company named 18 Series Bag Company.

Founded by retired Special Forces Soldiers, they set out to create mission specific bags and packs for the various functions on an Operational Detachment – Alpha.

Take for instance the Delta Bag which is a modular medical bag.

In addition to the large, lay flat main bag, it includes a zip-off Assault Bag and removable Fanny Pack. At the interior, there are six color-coded transparent pouches to organize your gear.

Plus, it’s rigged for jumping. While it was built for medical use, it can be configured for a variety of applications such as sUAS or EOD.

The bags are all Berry complaint.
