TangoDown – iO Cover For Aimpoint T-2

TangoDown has announced the iO Cover for the Aimpoint T-2. The iO Cover T-2 is made of a durable thermoplastic polyurethane material which resist solvents, oils, and UV exposure, and takes most spray paints and hydrodip processes. It fits snugly to the Aimpoint T-2/H-2/R-2 red dot sight, and features solid caps which protect the lenses from damage. These caps also nest together to keep them together while the optic is in use.

Available in Black and Flat Dark Earth.

Optics 1 Awarded $45 Mil Contract For Enhanced Clip-on Thermal Imagers and Enhanced Clip-on SWIR Imagers

According to the Department of Defense:

Optics 1 Inc., Bedford, New Hampshire, is being awarded a $45,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for production of enhanced clip-on thermal imagers and enhanced clip-on short-wave infrared imagers in support of special operations forces. Work will be performed in Bedford, New Hampshire, and is expected to be complete by September 2022. Fiscal 2017 Navy working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $220,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity (N00164-17-D-JQ17).

Raptor Tactical – Sentinel Skull Crusher

Raptor Tactical’s Sentinel Skull Crusher is a one-size-fits-all headgear for use of Night Vision Devices.

It is padded and includes rounding channels for cables.

While it does not come with an NVG shroud it is pre-cut to accept three-hole shrouds.

Additionally, there are holes at the side which will accept Magpul MOE rails. When fitted to the Sentinel Skull Crusher, you can add lights, cameras and other Picatinny compatible accessories.

At the rear there is also a PALS compatible Velcro field to accept the included counterweight pouch.

At the top, there is Velcro to mount strobes, lights or other markers.

Interestingly, the Sentinel Skull Crusher also accepts helmet chinstraps.

At the request of our customers, we are now offering alternate ring caps for the Delta Series Mounts featuring a single rail section to accommodate the ever-growing use of backup red dot sights. This ring cap features a single slot 45 degree offset picatinny rail that can be used on either the left or right side of the mount. Includes 1 replacement ring cap and 4 mounting screws. Precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize. The Delta Mount has assigned NSN 1005-13-121-5535. Available in 0 / 20 / 30 MOA base in black or flat dark earth.
