Sneak Peek – LBT Jungle Pack

Although it isn’t your run of the mill LE item, we had a chance to check the LBT Jungle Pack out at the ADS Inc federal range day.

   
 It offers 2500 Cu In of internal storage with an internal frame (CASS) and removable lid (200 cu in) with mesh topped pocket.  They’ve built a couple of different variants of the Jungie Pack that they’ve been supplying to operational forces which vary based on materials used and frame type.  For instance, there are some ALICE frame models running around.  This one, with the CASS frame (developed initially for body armor) weighs in right at 4 lbs.

This model is made from 330D Cordura and has a LiteLok expandable collar.  All of the pack bags feature a flat, full length zipped compartment along the back of the bag but other than that, they are slick on the outside to make it easier to maneuver through thick brush.

ADS Federal Range Day – LBT Inc Project Zero Vest

The project Zero Vest is a new design from LBT Inc that is great for undercover work. 

Specifically, it was designed for zero visibility when layered under civilian clothing. It’s made from a combination of Nylon 330D MAS Grey / 4way stretch / lycra which all combine to allow for the fitting of different plates. Additionally, as you can see, it offers the use of detachable Velcro options for comms, mags, and hard plates, all removable and customizable for unique end user load out.

Grey Ghost Gear – The Throwback Backpack

After a long wait, the $10,000 er, Throwback Pack is now available from Grey Ghost Gear. Based on the Removable Operator Pack, the Throwback Pack features a body made from a Waxed Canvas material, which is very robust and has inherent water resistant features. The build and material lends itself towards a more ‘low profile’ look when compared to more traditional tactical bags; the bag will also “weather” and build its own character through use.

The main compartment is 550 cubic inches in volume, accessed through a top YYK zipper with two pulls featuring Flatlok cords. This compartment has two pockets on both sides, sized for a water bottle or to organize small items. The front pocket is 300 cubic inches, accessed through vertical zippers on both sides of the pocket; this pocket is lined with loop material to allow the user to customize it with various hook-backed pouches and holsters.

    Darley Defense Days – Black Diamond Assault Pack

    Black Diamond is known for the APEx Predator wearable C3 system, however they also offer an Assault Pack optimized to carry the AN/PRC 117G radio.

    The Assault Pack is optimized for the APEx Predator system. The top of the pack features improved lengthened antenna ports, with multiple Velcro flaps, allowing for greater flexibility in antenna placement. The main compartment features dual side stash flaps for cable management, and two buckled radio retention straps sewn into the pack. The main compartment also features a zippered bottom opening for radio battery changes.

    The exterior features a cable management pocket for the Tactical Mission Controller, which feeds directly into the main compartment. An integrated zippered hydration compartment is housed behind the back pad. Dual side ports allow for additional cable routing options. The Assault Pack also comes with an external tablet pouch.

    Elite Survival Systems – STEALTH Covert Operations Backpack

    The STEALTH Covert Operations Backpack by Elite Survival Systems is designed to carry a 16″ M4 with additional gear without the standard “industry” indicators.

    On the outside, the STEALTH Pack looks like a standard sports pack. The inside, however, is constructed of MilSpec 500D nylon, with two main compartments for a broken-down AR-15 pattern weapon and accessories. The rifle compartment is lined with loop Velcro and is fitted with dual adjustable, removable stabilizers to carry an upper and lower receiver side-by-side. The rifle compartment also features a separate handgun or eyewear pocket, spacious enough to fit a full-sized pistol. The accessory compartment features a MOLLE field with loop Velcro, allowing the user the choice of PALS-compatible and hook-backed pouches.
