New Instructional Video from Panteao with New Instructor Make Ready with Jamey Caldwell: Intro to Night Vision

Friday, December 20th, 2019

Columbia, SC, December 20, 2019 – Panteao announces the release of a new video title with instructor Jamey Caldwell. Jamey recently joined Panteao’s cadre of instructors.  Jamey spent more than 21 years in the United States Army, serving his entire career in Special Operations. He served 7 years with the 75th Ranger Regiment then spent the following 14 years in a Special Missions Unit that maintained a high operational tempo in Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and numerous other countries in the world. He has deployed to combat 14 times and has conducted well over 500 missions. Jamey has been awarded three medals for valorous actions in combat while under direct fire from the enemy.

“Panteao is very fortunate with being able to work with Jamey Caldwell as one of our new instructors,” said Fernando Coelho, President/CEO of Panteao Productions. Fernando continued, “Jamey will be providing valuable content to our viewers that is backed by years of real-world experience.”

Jamey Caldwell said, “After spending so many years in a Tier 1 unit that was constantly engaged in combat I took for granted how much we used Night Vision, laser’s, thermals, and all the equipment that goes with them. It wasn’t until I retired that I learned how fortunate I was to have this knowledge. I felt it was important to share my experience and knowledge with those that want to learn more. Whether it’s for home protection or a law enforcement officer looking to better equip themselves to protect us on the home front. I am glad to share this information and hope that you learn a little something from it.”

The first video to be introduced with Jamey is Intro to Night Vision. Understanding night vision and the gear associated with it is imperative for successful operations in limited visibility. Educating yourself can be a daunting task, till now. In Intro to Night Vision, Jamey Caldwell presents night vision gear and use in a clear and concise manner. He reviews the history of night vision, light spectrum, the image intensifier tube, figure of merit, white versus green phosphor tubes, head mounted systems, weapon mounted systems, lasers, helmets, IR marking devices, digital night vision systems and more.

Panteao greatly appreciates the support of the sponsors that help make this video happen: Black Rifle Coffee, CORE Survival, Streak Ammo, Oakley, Nitecore, Princeton Tec, Emerging Tactical Solutions, Trijicon, Surefire, and TSE Recon

Make Ready with Jamey Caldwell: Intro to Night Vision is now available streaming for Panteao subscribers. Rubber and Plastic Footwear Manufacturers Association Renamed United States Footwear Manufacturers Association and Launches www.USFMA.org

Friday, December 20th, 2019

New Name Reflects Commitment to Fair Trade Policy and U.S. Government Procurement Policy

Washington, D.C. – The Rubber and Plastic Footwear Manufacturers Association (RPFMA) announced that it has changed its name to the United States Footwear Manufacturers (USFMA) to better communicate its mission and its membership.  The association also launched a new website, www.USFMA.org, a new logo, a Facebook page and a LinkedIn page

“The name USFMA sends a clear message that this association is about protecting and growing footwear manufacturing here in the United States,” said USFMA Executive Director Bill McCann.  “Our mission is to make sure that our nation’s trade policy supports domestic manufacturing and that footwear purchased with tax dollars is manufactured here.   We reject the notion that American workers and factories don’t produce the highest quality boots and shoes for both our military and our nation.”

USFMA supports the domestic footwear industry by promoting fair trade, strong manufacturing policies, and policies that protect the industrial base.  Traditionally, the association focused most of its efforts on defending a “protected list” of sensitive items as defined by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC).  Moving forward, USFMA will also protect and expand the Berry Amendment and other federal statutes and policies that require our military and other uniformed federal employees to wear domestically manufactured footwear.

“Our new focus on government procurement aligns well with our existing focus on fair trade for footwear.  Manufacturers of combat boots and other footwear required for military and government service are not only creating good-paying jobs but are part of our national security.  USFMA will fight to create more government opportunities for domestic footwear,” said McCann.

The United States Footwear Manufacturers Association (USFMA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) association founded in 1986 to protect and enhance the footwear industry’s manufacturing base in the United States.   USFMA members include both domestic footwear manufacturers as well as domestic suppliers.   As a whole, the footwear manufacturing industry employs more than 12,000 U.S. workers.

Mission First Tactical Unveils Extreme Duty Window Mag

Thursday, December 19th, 2019

Utilizing new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability, the Extreme Duty Window Mag exceeds demanding military performance specifications.

Horsham, Pa. (November 2019) – Mission First Tactical, LLC (MFT™), a leader in USA-made rifle/carbine accessories, is proud to introduce the latest addition to the MFT magazine line, the Extreme Duty Window Magazine (EXDPM556-W). Designed for the AR15/M4, but allowing use with a wide range of non-AR15/M4 platforms The Extreme Duty Window Magazine is currently available in Black and Scorched Dark Earth, and will also be available in colored windows and decorated units in the future.

Utilizing new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability, the Extreme Duty Window Magazine exceeds demanding military performance specifications. Durable dual-side anti-glare transparent windows with numerical markers and high visibility indicator coil on the spring allow for quick visual identification of the approximate number of mags remaining.

Manufactured using the newest material technology and processes, the magazines with their next-generation long glass fiber polymer construction offer the trifecta of perfection in structural performance: strength, durability, and stiffness. The stiffness allows the magazine to maintain its integrity without additional weight with an additional benefit of top performance even at elevated temperatures. The longer length reinforcing fibers produce increased strength and prevents deformation and polymer fatigue. Additionally, the Extreme Duty Window Magazines offer increased durability through a more efficient energy transfer between the polymer and the longer fiber filaments during an impact. A long-life USGI-Spec stainless steel spring is corrosion resistant. The four-way, anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower keeps the rounds aligned and makes mag feeding consistent and reliable, while virtually eliminating jambs.

Confidence in handling the new Extreme Duty Window Magazines is a piece of cake, even during weather or duress. The front and rear of the gripping surface is ribbed for a positive grip, even with gloves. An oversized bolt-catch provides enhanced reliability of the bolt catch operation. The flared floor plate allows for an easier grip in handling and extraction and one-hand reloads. Wrapping up the multiple benefits to the newest addition to the MFT magazine line is a paint pen dox matrix to allow for easy marking and identification of magazines and the tool-less disassembly with the double floor plate safety release tabs.

Mission First Tactical Extreme Duty Window Magazines are built for hard shooting and extreme treatment and shooting conditions and comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

Extreme Duty Window Magazine Specifications:

Model Number: EXDPM-556-W
Height: 7.494”
Width: 0.940”
Length: 2.525”
Color: Black, Scorched Dark Earth

Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 Casings Used in Liberty Ammunition’s New Ultra-Lights

Thursday, December 19th, 2019

Liberty Ammunition’s new Ultra-Lights, featuring Shell Shock Technologies’ casings, are 52 percent lighter than standard 125 grain 9mm lead jacketed hollow-points.

Westport, Conn. (December 2019) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC., an early-stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry, announces that Liberty Ammunition has introduced its Ultra-Lights round featuring Shell Shock Technologies’ revolutionary NAS3 casings.

The new Liberty Ammunition Ultra-Lights are the Civil Defense rounds taken one step further. Liberty Ammunition’s innovative projectiles have been added to Shell Shock Technologies’ groundbreaking NAS3 casings. The 9mm Ultra-Lights total cartridge weighs only 93 grains, and is 52 percent lighter than standard 125 grain 9mm lead jacketed hollow-points.

“We are truly excited and proud to have our cutting-edge casings be a part of Liberty Ammunition’s innovative new Ultra-Light round,” said Craig Knight, CEO of Shell Shock Technologies.

Ultra-Lights Ballistic Performance:

• Total Cartridge Weight: 93 Grains

• Projectile Weight: 50 Grains

• Velocity: > 2,000 feet per second

• Kinetic Energy: > 450 ft. lbs.

• Permanent Cavity: 3 ½” W x 10-13” D

• Accuracy: < 1” at 25 meters

Liberty Ammunition’s Ultra-Lights projectiles are copper monolithic with nickel plating and are turned on a precision CNC machine for consistency and accuracy. They are lightweight, extremely fast projectiles, with a large diameter deep hollow-point cavity.

Our ammo penetrates barriers well, but when this cavity fills with soft tissue/liquid, the hydraulic pressure explodes the side walls of the projectile in a starburst-shaped pattern creating a devastating wound with multiple channels that cover a much greater area inside the target. Combined with Shell Shock Technologies’ two-piece cases, the new Ultra-Lights are the ultimate self-defense round.

About Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 Cases:

NAS3 9mm cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger) and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully reloadable (using S3 Reload dies) and can be reloaded many more times than brass cases. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124-grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 rounds, extreme variation 3fps).

Team Bushnell Finishes Season Strong at 2019 Australasia Championship

Thursday, December 19th, 2019

Pro Shooter KC Eusebio Places 1st Overall in Production Optics Light Division

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – December 17, 2019 – Team Bushnell shooters put an exclamation mark on the end of the 2019 season, bringing home top place finishes at the 2019 IPSC Australasia Handgun Championship. Competing overseas in the last match of the season, team members KC Eusebio and Jessie Harrison traveled to Lipa City, Batangas, where they tested their shooting skills against a field of over a thousand competitors from the around the world. In the end, Eusebio finished 1st Overall in the Production Optics Light Division while fellow teammate Harrison placed 3rd Overall in the Ladies Open Division, both using the Bushnell First Strike 2.0.

Held every three years, the 2019 Australasia Championship featured four days of competition across 24 unique stages of fire. Rated as Level 4 match due to its high degree of difficulty and number of stages, this year’s championship was considered by many to be one of the most challenging international competitions outside of the World Shooting Championship.

Eusebio, who competed in and won during his last trip to the Australasia Championship in 2013, agreed that this year’s match was one of the toughest matches he’s participated in during his 24 years of competitive shooting.

“While this was one of the best international matches that I’ve competed in, the degree of difficulty each stage presented combined with the physical exhaustion that you experience with multiple days of intercontinental travel, it certainly pushed me to the limits,” said Eusebio. “Despite those challenges, I was very pleased with how I performed as it’s always a special feeling to claim another Australasia Handgun Championship title.”

A hometown favorite, Eusbeio especially enjoyed the reception he received from the local spectators. “The Filipino culture is extremely gun friendly,” commented Eusebio. “This match certainly had a hometown feel to me and it means a lot that I was able to perform at such a high level on a world stage.”

Competing in the Production Optics Light Division with his Bushnell First Strike 2.0, Eusebio outpaced the field of competitors, utilizing the red dot to gain a competitive edge against an array of over 50 moving targets and other staged obstacles.

Meanwhile, teammate and Hoppe’s pro shooter Jessie Harrison also utilized the FS2 to bring home a bronze medal in the Ladies Open Division. Competing in the Australasia Championship for the first time, Harrison had nothing but compliments on the match.

“From the breathtaking opening ceremonies to the extremely accommodating ROs and match staff, this is certainly a match that I intend to shoot again,” said Harrison. “Enough can’t be said about all the individual efforts that went into hosting a match of this magnitude. It was in a way southern hospitality at its finest and I can’t wait to come back in 2022.”
