Agilite Releases New Team Wendy Helmet Cover Series

These are the first, full spectrum Team Wendy Covers on the market to provide full NVG and other accessory management. There are two cover types, Ballistic and Bump, the Ballistic covering all Exfil ballistic versions including those with the new Rail 3.0.

The Shield Arms SA-15 built on the patent-pending FLR folding lower receiver is shipping now in stripped lower and complete pistol configurations! The FLR is billed as “…the world’s first folding AR-15 lower receiver – no adapter required.” You may recall coverage of the weapon last October here on Soldier Systems Daily.

The Shield Arms Folding Lower Receiver (FLR) features a folding stock mechanism machined and built directly into the receiver, allowing the stock or pistol brace to fold without the need of an aftermarket folding stock adapter. The FLR is one of several innovative products we expect to see from Shield Arms, which was originally known for their extensive magazine extension line (and later for their 15-round capacity after-market Glock 43x/48 mags).

Personnel Change at the Rheinmetall Group

Automotive CEO Horst Binnig closes his career at Rheinmetall

After 20 successful years in the Automotive sector and on the Rheinmetall Group’s Executive Board, Horst Binnig (60) has asked the company’s Supervisory Board to be released for personal reasons from his duties as Chairman of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Automotive AG and as a member of the Executive Board of the Group holding company Rheinmetall AG. Following the implementation of a succession plan with a smooth transition of leadership duties, he will relinquish his responsibilities within the Group by the end of 2019 and retire.

After working for the KACO Group and Hengstler GmbH, Binnig joined the Automotive sector of the Rheinmetall Group in 1999 where he was initially in charge of Corporate Development and then headed the Automotive subsidiary KS Aluminium-Technologie. During this time, he was also instrumental in setting up the Group’s second major joint venture with SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) in China. In addition, he shaped and drove forward the vigorous expansion of Rheinmetall Automotive’s activities there as part of its internationalization strategy. Horst Binnig has been a member of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Automotive AG since 2012 and took over as Chairman at the beginning of 2014. He was also appointed to the Executive Board of Rheinmetall AG in 2014.

Ulrich Grillo, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rheinmetall AG and Armin Papperger, Chairman of Rheinmetall Automotive AG’s Supervisory Board, pay tribute to Horst Binnig’s entrepreneurial achievements: “Even though there is still some time left before his departure, we would like to thank Horst Binnig today. Not only has he played a decisive role in the extremely positive development of Rheinmetall Automotive’s business over recent years, he also delivered important impetus for the development of the Rheinmetall Group as such as a member of the Group’s Executive Board. All the more do we therefore regret his decision as much as we respect it.“

Four Colt Cobra Revolver Models Approved For Sale In California

WEST HARTFORD, CONN., (July 26, 2019) — Four Colt revolvers have been added to California’s “certified for sale” roster approved by the state’s Department of Justice. Each handgun passed all firing, safety, and drop tests required for certification and can now be legally purchased in California through licensed firearms dealers.

Models now available for sale in California include the 2” stainless matte Cobra with fiber-optic front sight (SM2FO) and its big brother, the brushed stainless steel, 3”.357 magnum King Cobra with brass bead front sight (KCOBRA-SB3BB). Most recently approved are two variations of the 2”, matte black DLC coated, .38 special Night Cobra – one with custom Colt G10 grips and night sight (COBRA-MB2NS), the other with hyena brown grips and a brass bead sight (COBRA- MB2BB-HB). The approved models are currently shipping to California dealers and are available for purchase.

“We have a loyal customer base in California, and we are following state-mandated protocol to ensure as many of our models as possible are available to them,” said Justin Baldini, Director of Marketing at Colt. “We are happy to know that California residents will have the chance to become Colt owners and we encourage them to stop by any of our stocking dealers.
