SUFFIELD, Conn. – January 14, 2016 – Savage Arms is pleased to introduce several new products at the 2016 SHOT Show. The A22 22 Magnum is one of the most exciting introductions, proven to deliver accuracy and reliability in a semi-automatic magnum rimfire platform. Also debuting for 2016 are several line extensions in the A17 and B.MAG rifle series, as well as adding the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber to many of its AXIS and AXIS II models. In addition, the company is proud to announce the all-new Model 42 Takedown shotgun-and-rifle combination gun and several more new firearms.
Stealing the modern looks of the Savage Arms A17, the first high-performance semi-automatic rimfire specifically designed for the 17 HMR cartridge, Savage adds a new model to the series. The A22 Magnum is chambered for 22 WMR and features the same delayed-blowback semi-automatic action as the original A17.
Savage Arms A17’s unique delayed-blowback action provides safe, reliable operation with standard 17 HMR loads. New 2016 target models feature heavy barrels and gray wood laminate stocks for updated styling and increased accuracy.
Savage’s B.MAG was built around the 17 Win. Super Magnum cartridge, which creates unprecedented rimfire velocities of up to 3,000 feet per second. For 2016, three new models have been added to the B.MAG lineup: Target Beavertail, Heavy Barrel and Sporter.
Savage Arms has added nine new rifles chambered for the hot, flat-shooting 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge. They include the new 16 Lightweight Hunter, AXIS, AXIS LH, AXIS XP, AXIS XP Camo, AXIS XP Stainless, AXIS II XP, AXIS II XP Stainless and AXIS II XP Hardwood.
The new Model 42 Takedown breaks down with simple push of one button and includes an Uncle Mike’s Go Bag so you can easily transport it anywhere. The Model 42 Takedown is an easy-to-use, break-open combo gun that fires rimfire rounds from the top barrel and .410 bore shotgun shells from the bottom.

The storage-capable version of the flagship Magpul MOE SL™ carbine stock, the MOE SL-S (Storage) Stock is a direct replacement buttstock for AR15/M4 carbines.
The sleek profile, dual-side release latches, and waterproof battery tubes make it the slimmest storage tube stock available. The SL-S provides an enhanced cheek weld and true, O-ring sealed, 10m waterproof storage area desired by many, but fits it into the narrowest package possible to allow a more upright head position and minimize bulk. A rolled toe and angled rubber butt-pad are optimized for use with body armor, and an ambidextrous QD sling swivel socket is included. A unique leaf-spring tension system provides a solid fit on mil-spec receiver extensions, with slightly less friction than the original SL. IWI US Introduces TAVOR SAR in .300 Blackout at 2016 SHOT Show

IWI US, Inc., a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., is proud to announce a new caliber for the TAVOR® SAR; the .300 Blackout. The bullpup deemed “Rifle of the Year” by the NRA’s American Rifleman Magazine in 2014 continues to excite the American audience who have embraced the TAVOR SAR and the bullpup concept with open arms. For those who already own a TAVOR® SAR in 5.56 NATO or 9mm, a .300 Blackout conversion kit will also be available.
“We’ve had a ton of requests for this particular caliber as its popularity has grown as a good self-defense round as well as a hunting round,” Michael Kassnar, VP of Sales and Marketing for IWI US explained. “The .300 Blackout is a highly accurate, soft shooting round that is also a very effective hunting round, unlike the lighter more traditional varmint or military calibers. We listened to our customers on Facebook and through our Customer Service Department and this was a round that kept coming up to the top of the wish list. And we listened to our customers express their need for a .300 Blackout rifle that can reliably handle sub-sonic and supersonic loads. The result is an integral gas regulator built into the Tavor barrel that is easily adjustable for sub or supersonic rounds.”
The TAVOR® SAR bullpup configuration offers the short rifle convenience but with a full size rifle’s velocity, energy and accuracy. All of the TAVOR® SAR’s parts are MIL-STD and 100% interchangeable. The 16.5” or 18” .300 Blackout barrel is cold-hammer forged and chrome lined, made from CrMoV steel. The long-stroke gas piston system is also 100% ambidextrous in configuration and operation with an optional opposite hand bolt, and a simple field stripping is all that is needed to quickly and easily break down the TAVOR into two major serviceable subassemblies. MSRP is $ 2,049.00.
The .300 Blackout conversion kit includes a 16.5” or 18” cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel made of CrMoV steel with a 1:7 right hand twist, a headspaced bolt, an A2 flash suppressor and barrel wrench. MSRP is $499.00.
