TRIGGRCON 19 – Tenicor SAGAX LUX Holster

July 27th, 2019

Tenicor continues to innovate with their new SAGAX LUX AIWB Holster.

Looking at the body of the SAGAX LUX Holster, you can see that it is a bit bigger than Tenicor’s other holsters. That’s because it features their universal light fit which accommodates most compact weapon lights (Streamlight TLR7, Surefire XC1-B, XC2, Inforce APLc), but doesn’t rely on the light for retention. You’ll also note the high ride shirt guard, designed to allow for an unencumbered thumbs up grip. Yet, there’s still room for a red dot sight.

You can also see there’s plenty of adjustment thanks to the vertical adjustment slots on the T1 clip. The shape of the T1 clip also locks into your belt so when you draw, you get pistol and not holster.

The Holster comes with three interchangeable camming bars to fine tune concealment. When cinched by the belt, it rotates the grip into the body to keep the gun hidden.

Tenicor has worked hard on their body contour feature, developing a new, more complex shape for the SAGAX LUX.

The original body contour shape is seen at the far right of this photo on Tenicor’s non-light bearing AIWB VELO Holster. The new wedge design was created for positioning the gun for all day comfort. It turned out so well, they decided to incorporate it in the VELO design as well.

Above, you can see the original shape used in the VELO compared to the new shape which was adapted from the SAGAX LUX.

A Froglube First, A Rifle Bore Break-In Kit

July 26th, 2019

FrogLube, the foremost bio-based gun care pioneer delivers kit and maintenance guide

Burleson, TEXAS, July 19, 2019 —Quick and easy proper break-in and maintenance of the gun’s barrel using FrogLube’s simple guide and product kit.

A most often overlooked procedure, but one that can mean the difference in service life and consistent accuracy. Copper and hydrocarbon dust under high pressure and heat form a plasma that becomes deposited in a gun barrel. FrogLube non-abrasive solvent cleaners are formulated to tackle this type of fouling and stabilize the barrel surface condition. “We’ve shot hundreds of thousands of rounds during the development process to ensure we are attacking the precise fouling particles while not upsetting barrel stabilization over the life of the barrel.” CAPT Larry Lasky, FrogLube founder.

FrogLube’s Rifle Bore Cleaning and Break-in Kit uses a dual product procedure, with Rifle Bore Cleaner (RBC) FrogLube Solvent in conjunction with a metal bonding sealer type lube, FrogLube Extreme to inhibit further fouling build-ups and corrosion. This approach allows for a very simple and easy procedure to accomplish initial barrel conditioning during break-in. The kit contains FrogLube cleaner and lube products along with some handy container and applicator tools at price point under $20.00. See the Kit here.

TRIGGRCON 19 – SilencerCo MAXIM Non-NFA Pistol Update

July 26th, 2019

Now that the cat’s out of the bag on the Non-NFA version of SilencerCo’s delayed blowback MAXIM Pistol, they’re publicly showing it. This 9mm pistol is specifically designed to operate with a detachable suppressor of your choice.

As you can see, the fixed barrel is threaded for supressor attachment. This design allows the Red Dot to be mounted in front of the ejection port so it won’t slam back and forth as the pistol fires, allowing you to stay on target and less wear and tear on the optic.

In this configuration, the pistol’s lines give me a Walther vibe.

No date yet on when it will be released.

Four Colt Cobra Revolver Models Approved For Sale In California

July 26th, 2019

WEST HARTFORD, CONN., (July 26, 2019) — Four Colt revolvers have been added to California’s “certified for sale” roster approved by the state’s Department of Justice. Each handgun passed all firing, safety, and drop tests required for certification and can now be legally purchased in California through licensed firearms dealers.

Models now available for sale in California include the 2” stainless matte Cobra with fiber-optic front sight (SM2FO) and its big brother, the brushed stainless steel, 3”.357 magnum King Cobra with brass bead front sight (KCOBRA-SB3BB). Most recently approved are two variations of the 2”, matte black DLC coated, .38 special Night Cobra – one with custom Colt G10 grips and night sight (COBRA-MB2NS), the other with hyena brown grips and a brass bead sight (COBRA- MB2BB-HB). The approved models are currently shipping to California dealers and are available for purchase.

“We have a loyal customer base in California, and we are following state-mandated protocol to ensure as many of our models as possible are available to them,” said Justin Baldini, Director of Marketing at Colt. “We are happy to know that California residents will have the chance to become Colt owners and we encourage them to stop by any of our stocking dealers. We plan to see additional models approved soon.”

Customers can find specific product and Colt stocking dealer information at colt.com. California’s Department of Justice manages the Bureau of Firearms which oversees education, regulation and enforcement actions regarding the manufacture, sales, ownership, safety training, testing and transfer of firearms.
