Max Talk Monday: The RAID: Texas Class 2019
March 11th, 2019This is the thirteenth installment of ‘Max Talk Monday’ which shares select episodes from a series of instructional videos. Max Velocity Tactical (MVT) has established a reputation on the leading edge of tactical live fire and force on force training. MVT is dedicated to developing and training tactical excellence at the individual and team level.
Max Talk: The RAID is video footage of the RAID drill at the Texas Class 2019. This was a squad level (2 x fire team) live fire training exercise against a simulated enemy encampment / patrol base. It formed part of the ‘Attack Day’ which included hasty attack and raid simulated live fire scenarios.
Max is a tactical trainer and author, a lifelong professional soldier with extensive military experience. He served with British Special Operations Forces, both enlisted and as a commissioned officer; a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Max served on numerous operational deployments, and also served as a recruit instructor. Max spent five years serving as a paramilitary contractor in both Iraq and Afghanistan; the latter two years working for the British Government in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

IWA 19 – Nightforce Torque Tool Field Kit
March 11th, 2019At Enforce Tac, we found out about the Nightforce Torque Tool Field Kit. Available in either 68 or 100 configurations, it depends on the torque limiter. You either get a 25 inch pound torque limiter as well as 68 inch pound torque limiter or 100 inch pound torque limiter.
Additionally, the kit comes with a miniature 3/8” drive ratchet, 1/2” socket and T15 bit as well as the Nightforce scope adjustment tri-tool.
As you can see, it’s a handy kit which fits in the palm of your hand. It can be ordered by units and agencies by contacting Nightforce Optics.
IWA 19 – Orthos Med Pouch from FROG.PRO
March 11th, 2019Italian manufacturer FROG.PRO showed their Orthos Med Pouch. Made from a laminate, it is laser cut to be both PALS and shock cord compatible. It incorporates a glove dispenser, TQ holder and the Medical Cross insert can be swapped out for Red, White, Black, GITD or IR.
It’s a sleeve design which uses their Multi Purpose Organizers, which are both PALS and shock cord compatible, to organize the contents of the first aid kit. The Orthos will accept two, one inserted from either end, with the clearly marked Pull tabs visible. As you can see in the photo above, the Orthos features shock cord at the corners of the openings to keep the MPOs from falling out.
The Orthos can be carried one of three ways. It has built-in PALS compatible straps, 2″ belt wraps, or a zipper to attach below other platforms via their abdominal panel accessory.
Below, you can see it attached to the Modular Reconnaissance Task Bag set up as a chest rig. It will also fit their armor carriers.
IWA 19 – Durabo
March 11th, 2019Durabo is Latin for “I will endure” and is the commercial brand of the Kreator Company which manufactures dress uniforms for the Polish Military.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces.
They’ve combined retro military design with work wear and introduced new fabric blends using Cordura nylon to increase durability. Colors on the final products will differ.
Look for the commercial release of this clothing later this year.
