BURNABY, BC – Mustang Survival announced today that its Spring 2016 Range is shipping to stores now and will be available for purchase at the 2016 Toronto International Boat Show. In addition, a Mustang Survival expert will be training show attendees how to inspect and maintain inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs) at the show. The Toronto International Boat Show (TIBS) is North America’s largest indoor boat show and takes place from January 9 to 17, 2016 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario.
The Spring 2016 Range brings performance to the forefront with the introduction of two new Elite™ inflatable PFDs, gloves and accessories.
·The Elite 38: The Elite 38 blends lightweight with durability and Mustang Survival’s highest buoyancy rating for commercial inflatable PFDs at 38 lbs. The lightweight body armour industry outer shell is reinforced with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) abrasion patches in hard-wearing areas. The bright fluorescent yellow/green inflation cell greatly improves in-water visibility and includes a strobe light holder and safety whistle.
·The Elite 28K: Designed with paddling in mind, the Elite 28K brings together motion and adaptability with a MOLLE attachment system commonly used in military applications. A separate MOLLE compatible pocket is available and, along with the lash tab and attachment points, allows for secure stowage and retrieval of essential tools and gear. The slim 3D chassis helps to reduce interference and the integrated back panel has been designed to fit kayak seats.
·Traction Gloves: Engineered for fishing and a first for Mustang Survival, the Traction Glove provides a 30-50 percent grip improvement over bare hands. There are two models available: a fingerless glove when dexterity is a must; and a full-finger glove for cold and wet conditions with touchscreen-friendly conductive fingertips.
This expansion of the Mustang Survival Range follows the highly successful 2014 introduction of the original Elite PFD. Find out more about the Range at www.mustangsurvival.com/spring2016.
To further demonstrate its commitment to the boating public, Mustang Survival’s Peter Reid will offer free Expert Sessions on inflatable PFD inspection and maintenance. A materials and metallurgical engineer, working as the quality manager with Mustang Survival for six years, Reid is based in Burnaby, B.C.. Show goers who bring their own inflatables will receive hands on training on the proper techniques involved when inspecting a PFD. Training will include visual inspection, oral inflate inspection, and inflator and CO2 cartridge inspection to ensure that each PFD is in proper working condition.
