Mayflower Introduces Pusher Back Panel

The Mayflower R&C by Velocity Systems Pusher Back Panel is made to augment the Pusher Chest Rig. The design provides flexibility; it can be worn with a front plate, back panel with back plate, chest rig and back panel or just the pusher chest rig. The features and accessories include a plate pocket, 2-liter water bladder pouch, small molle panel for tools or pouches, medical pouch, envelope for a breacher tool, an extendable breacher bag, front plate sleeve, helmet carrier, horizontal rear magazine pouch and a jacket stash pocket. The Pusher Back Panel can hold up to a large plate. Color options: MultiCam and Coyote Brown All materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.

Natick’s Rob DiLalla Awarded for Ballistic Combat Shirt

Robert DiLalla, team leader of the Infantry Combat Equipment Team at the Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center has been chosen as the recipient of the 2015 MG Harold “Harry” J. Greene Award for Innovation in the Individual-Civilian category for his work developing the Ballistic Combat Shirt. Named in honor of MG Greene, who served as senior commander at the Natick Soldier Systems Center, the award recognizes technological innovations that enhance Army readiness and Soldier performance.

DiLalla partnered with co-inventors Protect the Force, LLC for the BCS, which incorporates deltoid and thoracic protection, as well as improved neck protection into the Combat Shirt and is a component of Soldier Protection System.

RAIDOPS – Centuaro Knife

The Centuaro knife is a new design by Korean company RAIDOPS and produced in Viper, Italy. The Centuaro is a folding knife made of N690 steel, with a blade length of 3.66 inches, featuring a stone wash finish. The handle, roughly a half-inch thick, also features a stone wash finish. The Centuaro comes complete with a Cordura nylon storage pouch.

US Army Introducing M4 Enhanced Performance Magazine

According to a TACOM Maintenance Information Message (16-039) released last week, the US Army is introducing a new M4 Enhanced Performance Magazine.  While we haven’t seen an example yet, it will be easy to discern from previous magazines. Sporting a Tan body and Blue follower, it was engineered to address feeding issues with M855A1 ammunition. 

The M4 EPM has been assigned NSN 1005-01-630-9508 and will be introduced through attrition of the current magazine. The M4 EPM may also be introduced with M4 carbines going through conversion to the M4A1 configuration.

Jeff Gonzales Named Director of Training for The Range at Austin

Decorated US Navy SEAL and renowned instructor joins premier shooting facility.


AUSTIN, TX – The Range at Austin is pleased to announce the hiring of Jeff Gonzales. Jeff will serve as Director of Training for the facility’s instructional and educational courses. Jeff will bring his years of experience, lessons learned and NSW mindset to The Range at Austin and its education programs. He will oversee a diverse curriculum ranging from firearm safety classes to concealed handgun certification and advanced tactical training.

Jeff is a decorated and respected U.S. Navy SEAL who served as an operator and instructor participating in numerous combat operations around the world. Jeff serves as President to Trident Concepts, a Texas-based company specializing in personal protection tactics, techniques and procedures for armed and unarmed conflicts. “I’m extremely excited to take the helm at this amazing facility,” stated Jeff. “I look forward to the challenges of firearms training and education.”

“Jeff will be a tremendous asset to The Range at Austin, designing and implementing exceptional curriculum and education courses for our customers in Texas and beyond,” stated Grant Shaw, Managing Partner for The Range at Austin. “Jeff will be hard at work in the coming weeks developing a training and education program unmatched by most facilities.”

The facility is scheduled to open in fall of 2016.
