G-Code / Haley Strategic – INCOG Eclipse

01

The INCOG Eclipse is a minimalist holster jointly developed by Haley Strategic and G-Code, and is the newest addition to the INCOG line.

06

The Eclipse is a minimum bulk, multi-positional concealment holster with a streamlined design. It features G-Code’s Tactical FUZZ outer laminate, providing a softer surface which reduces noise during movement while reducing the holster’s IR signature.

09

The Eclipse utilizes a patent-pending single-clip belt interface called the Super MoJo. The Super MoJo is designed to both place the clip in the correct orientation, and to provide multiple angle adjustments. The Super MoJo allows the Eclipse to mount at its natural center of gravity, while forcing the holster closer to the body, improving the concealability of the holster without increasing bulk. This also has the effect of supporting a higher positional carry without compromising the security of the holster during use.

07

The INCOG Eclipse is available for most common pistol models, and for left or right-hand carry. Available in Black, Gray, OD Green, and Tan. The finishes available for the Super MoJo include Brushed Aluminum, Black, Gold, and Burnt Orange.

November 20th, 2014

IMG_2724

Back in May, we offered a brief sneak peak of a production model MagPod. We’re happy to say that they’re now very close to being commercially available. Aside from frequent updates on the official MagPod Facebook page, with one comment hinting at a late November commercial release, they’ve also been sending out promotional MagPods taken from the production stock, a few of which we’ve received ourselves.

FullSizeRender

As a reminder, the MagPod is a replacement floor plate for Magpul MOE Gen2 Pmags which turns the magazine into an effective monopod, easily capable of balancing a fully-loaded carbine. It also functions quite well as a grip when grabbing a mag from its pouch.

Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

Mega Arms Introduces Slide Lock – New Charging Handle

November 19th, 2014

IMG_9185.JPG

Last week I had the opportunity to try out Grey Ghost Precision’s new Specter heavy and light rifles. These are manufactured exclusively for GGP by Mega Arms. One of the 5.56mm light guns had an interesting charging handle. At the time, the new Slide Lock was still under press blackout but they allowed me to snap a photo for when it did come out.

IMG_9319.JPG

Well, it’s out now. The patent pending design is ambidextrous but doesn’t rely on all of the moving parts that rival makers incorporate into their designs. Instead, it’s pretty straight forward. Much of the design has to do with the tooth on the catch. Rather than a sharp tooth it is more angled which allows for an easier opening on the pull. You can’t say there aren’t any moving pieces because there are. It’s just simpler than everything else out there.

IMG_9320.JPG

What’s more, it works. I messed with it quite a bit to get a feel for how well it locked and unlocked as well as the pull. I must admit, I had a smile on my face as I cycled the Slide Lock over and over.

So far, the Slide Lock is only available for 5.56mm AR-style platforms, but Mega is working on a 7.62mm compatible version.

Here, Jason Curns, Firearms Manager at Mega Arms goes over the new charging handle.
